Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

my internet has been down until now so I haven't fully caught up with the thread yet - good luck to nattya nd gillyan and anyone else waiting for good news!

I used to work as a solicitor in London but now I'm a sahm in Egypt (Alexandria), though I travel back to belfast a lot to see my parents

Misspaella · 19/11/2008 18:18

Natty all the best for early scan!

hobnob57 · 19/11/2008 20:43

Hellooo again!

Wow, we're all busy. Good luck gillyan and natty, and commiserations to the vomit brigade .

I'm feeling a while lot better today on the ms front - very settled all day and not reaching for food every 5 mins to try and offset that rolling feeling. A bit [hmmm] about it all, but absolutely BANJAXED today and peeing lots, so I hope that still bodes well.

Out of interest, for those of you who have had the misfortune to have had MCs in the first trimester, did your symptoms stop or just carry on? I think I know the answer already - we can manufacture symptoms of anything we want in our heads!

Will see midwife on Fri. Not meant to have an appointment until at least 8 weeks, but I should really be a peroxide blonde when pregnant and couldn't work my dates out at reception!

hobnob57 · 19/11/2008 20:44

that should read 'whole' lot better

Good luck for the scans today

Heebychick · 20/11/2008 09:21

Hi ladies,

hobnob i agree, i had a frist trim MC and the symptoms carried on but then i found out i had a cyst which probably followed the mc so not sure what was real and what was in your head, but i guess it depends on how far along you are, i have heard that they should stop quite soon after.

cristiana i agree too with the skin thing - i'm running out of make up! horrid

Career - i'm a wedding planner and have timed pg fairly badly as due in the middle of the summer - doh!

I love reading about all the wonderful countries and careers people have x

LargeGlassofRed · 20/11/2008 10:02

for those suffering from the dreaded ms,

I'm trying vit b6 this time and have not actually been sick yet have waves of nausea when I'm tired or hungry, but not anything as bad as the last three times yet.

fingers crossed

mickeylou · 20/11/2008 12:16

hello ladies. may i join your thread? i think i am the last from the ttc a july baby thread. af didnt show up yesterday as expected and got a BFP on a clear blue this morning! i am in complete and utter shock as was convinced i wasnt pg this cycle.

all going well this will be number 2 for me. already have a little boy who has just turned 3 and who has told me many times he does not want a brother or sister but would like a pet! oh dear!

i was very sick until 24 weeks with ds so really hoping for less time with myhead down the toilet this time.

cant stop grinning!!

mickeylou · 20/11/2008 12:17

sorry should have said edd based on last period would be 30th july. so only just scraped in!

Sweetie34 · 20/11/2008 12:21

Well, hello Everyone,

EDD just changed from 29th June to 1st July 2009

lastboxoftampons · 20/11/2008 12:47

Hi Mickeylou Congratulations! My EDD is 27 July, so just scraping by myself too!

Hobnob I mc'd at 11 weeks, but fetus measured just 7. It's really hard to say if my symptoms went because I felt okay through most of it - I didn't make any distinction in how I felt before or after the 7 week mark when the baby would've died

Had a horrible dream last night that I was bleeding everywhere and knew in my dream that it was all over. Was so relieved to wake up this morning and realize that it was a dream. I think I must've had the dream because I've had really horrible AF-like cramps for the past week. they seem to be worst in the middle of the night, so I was probably feeling the cramps and dreaming that I had AF.

Beccabump · 20/11/2008 12:52

Hello ladies how are we all this lunchtime? Hope the scans happening today have gone well.

I am just dog-tired and really queasy if I get too tired of hungry. Constantly grazing on rubbish so my weight will be ridiculous this time around I think!

Glad I am not feeling too sick but also worrying that it doesn't bode well! Had an early(ish) m/c before my DD and remember feeling really sick and then the symptoms dissapeared almost overnight. Feeling more relaxed this time though as I have really really sore boobs - so much that I can't bear to roll over at night!!! Also got all the stretching/pulling pains low down so I just hope all is growing well!

DD is poorly with a horrible cold and hacking cough at the moment so it is the perfect excuse to crawl under a duvet on the sofa with her!!!

Hugs to all xxx

Gillyan · 20/11/2008 13:02

good news

I have just got back and allis well! Thank god!!!!!!! I had an internal scan and they found the baba and the heart was beating really strongly - it's all in the right place so not eptopic and there does only seem to be one baby ( twins runs in both our families)

It dated me as 6 weeks and 4 days so I must of conceived 5 days later than I thought.

I'm so happy and hope that things will go smoothly from now on

Thank you all for your kind and supportive messages - it really is so nice

I hope everyone is okay and not feeling too rough

christaina my chin sounds like yours - I give up I think the best thing is probably NO MAKE - UP, I think I've gone past caring what I look like

Has anyone had an aversion to plain boiled rice - it totally ruined my sweet and sour chicken last night!

lastboxoftampons · 20/11/2008 13:29

Gillyan Congrats! That's wonderful news! I hope it's put your mind at ease!

My skin basically erupted over the past 24 hours I'm just ignoring it for now!

morning girls!

I'm two hours ahead of you so I missed the last messages last night.

christiana, the LLB is definitely be do-able in 2 years (though it cuts out all the parts i really enjoyed like jurisprudence and the philosophy of law - the problem with law is that it's often not immediately interesting and you have to plough through an awful lot of dry material before you get to the point where it becomes interesting) - but factoring in two little ones...i'm sure you're used to hectic workloads and deadlines and would manage it just fine. However, i know myself and would now use any spare moment for a cup of tea and a lie-down and woud end pulling all-nighters to get the blasted work done. However, thankfully we're not all slothful procrastinators like me

it's funny, alexandria is one of those places that sounds very romantic but in reality it's often charmless and a pain in the neck to go anywhere/do anything

mavornia · 20/11/2008 13:51

o, that's great news gillyan - have been thinking of you all this morning

hello other newcomers! just scraped in myself too - due 30 July I reckon

I highly recommend mac concealer and Benefit It stick - have been applying both liberally to my chin which is doing a good impression of an acned 15 year old

wondering how soon i can play the "bring me a cup of tea and rub my feet, I'm pregnant" card with dh...

dinkyboysmum · 20/11/2008 14:09

lastboxoftampons i keep having those dreams...dreams of bleeding or leaking everywhere & it all being over...guess its jst my mind playing out insecurities?

cristiana could it be that your body is getting used to the hormones maybe? i remember with me DD i had symptoms come and go a lot and when i mentioned it the Dr said it could be that?

PrincessButtercup · 20/11/2008 14:35

Hi all. Sorry, I haven't got around to posting since I joined the thread a couple of days ago. I'm about to read back & catch up with all of your news now.

Christiana - I'm feeling exactly the same way. As I miscarried very early last month, I'm terrified of the same happening now and am torturing myself with symptom spotting. I definitely don't feel nauseous all of the time and didn't when pg with both DCs but was grateful for the fact then - now I find myself wanting to feel dreadful! Boobs aren't sore at the moment, but they have been off and on and they do seem reassuringly bigger.

I've been putting off going to my GP as she recommended that I shouldn't try to get pg until one AF had passed after the mc (because of small risk of subsequent mc, she said). I think I'll wait until I'm further on - 8ish weeks before I do - the wait seems endless.

Another ex-solicitor here. Now SAHM.

What a lot of ex lawyers. I'm an ex-solicitor too. Enjoying being a SAHM much more though.

I haven't really got any symptoms yet either but then they didn't really kick in until about the eight week mark last time and I don't think I'm that far yet.
