Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

maxmissie · 17/11/2008 13:23

Hi would like to join the thread as well - got a bfp yesterday (on a test that is 6 months out of date!) and am going to do another test today to double check but am pretty sure it was right as my af is three days late and am on a pretty regular 28 day cycle. Due date appears to be 25 July.

Am kind of in shock at the mo as we have been umming and aahing about whether to have another child or not and now it's been decided for us!

Have one dd who is 16 months and was born in July 2007, so will potentially have two July babies!

QueenFee · 17/11/2008 14:01

Welcome Maxmissie

Ive just got my scan date through for 23 dec
Thats really quite efficient!
Cant wait now as I want to tell DD cause shes overhearing conversations and I don't want her confused.
When are you all telling other DC's?

Heebychick · 17/11/2008 14:09

Hi,

I am 6 weeks and due mid july, had a mc in May so am feeling quite scared. Will see Dr this Friday (have been putting it off as nervous about pg)

We haven't told anyone in RL 'just in case' so hoping for an early scan so we can break the news at Christmas

x

Congratulations heeby and maxmisse

I'm a new BFP on here too

Heeby I think we're going to tell family at Christmas as well - It's really nice that it works out that way that we have something to announce I also had a mc earlier this year. I was told taht they would give me an early reassurance scan, and I think I'll likely go in around 8 weeks.

lydiathetattooedlady · 17/11/2008 16:14

hi everyone- not been ab,e top get on computer for a while but see lots of more people!
im starting to panic abit at how i'll cope having 2 under the age of 3. plus as im self-employed will have to return to work quite soon after birth with both in tow!
im about 6 weeks now, only mild sickness but, without meaning to sound too graphic, im terribly constipated havent been sice last wed and im usually twice a day!
is this normal at this stage?

PrincessButtercup · 17/11/2008 16:47

Hi all. I'd love to join - BFP on Friday, due 25 July. I am very, very nervous as I had an early miscarriage last month (around 5 weeks) and so am blown away that I'm pregnant again already. I already have a DS (5) and a DD (3) so naively thought that all would go smoothly last time (told everyone, even the kids!). I can't let myself get remotely excited at the moment....

On the up-side, my boobs seem to have grown already, I'm feeling reassuringly nauseous and my mouth tastes as though I've licked out the inside of a baked bean can. I never thought I'd feel so grateful for all the icky pregnancy side effects!

Looking forward to hopefully sticking around and getting to know you all.

Misspaella · 17/11/2008 16:52

Hi lydiathetattooedlady, princessbuttercup and lastboxoftampons - these nicknames are great (and I guess rather apt in some cases)

thefortbuilder · 17/11/2008 17:06

just hijacking for a second - I had a july 2006 baby and they're the best - good luck everyone

PrincessButtercup · 17/11/2008 17:11

Thanks! I was a July baby and I'd have to agree!

Gillyan · 17/11/2008 19:54

Hello and congrats to the new BFP people! lydiathetattooelady I am curious about your name are you a tattoo artist or do you have lot's of tattoo's??

I'm with u misspaella white carbs all the way - the only healthy thing I like at the moment is sliced up apple, seems to stop me feeling sick as they're cold out of the fridge.

queenfee that's a brilliant scan date I'll be exactly 12 weeks on tht date so I'm hoping to get my scan in before Xmas!

Phoenix · 17/11/2008 19:57

QueenFee · 17/11/2008 19:59

If it makes you feel any better I told everyone at toddlers this morning. I suppose I had better tell my MIL quick

hobnob57 · 17/11/2008 20:41

Got a real dilemma. DD's illness over the weekend has sprouted a rash on her belly tonight. Not a pus-sy one, just a pink rash and a few eczema-looking-type patches around her nappy area. SO, it's defo GP time tomorrow! Trouble is I HAVE to go to work since I'm already covering for someone else off ill, so MIL will take DD to GPs for me.

I need to know what this rash is and speak toa GP about whether I'm safe. Should I just wait and see what MIL finds out and then phone up myself independently or come clean?

I really wanted to keep this one quiet for as long as possible so we had time to quietly think about things without a barrage of questions and excitement!

LargeGlassofRed · 17/11/2008 20:52

Hi all, lovely to catch up on everyones news

I'm in shock today have had to go into maternity jeans! my others were really starting to hurt.

Finding it so hard to keep it hidden, I'm amazed the dc's haven't noticed

Really trying to hold off till the scan, have my booking in with the midwife next tues.

Other worry is, been called for a smear had a few problems in the past so bit of a worry, will talk to midwife next week.

Hi Christiana - No.4 made me laugh through me nauseous haze! I definitely like the idea of the white carb specialities (well and the Maldives obviously)

I think the general advice on hair dyes is to wait until after the first 12 weeks. Apart from anything else, can you imagine your stomach coping with the smell of hair dye at the moment???!

I'm also waking a lot at night, quite often feeling really sick or desperate for a wee. I've just found I have to go to bed early on some nights to catch up. Last night I even climbed under the covers at 7.30 My eldest son (11 yrs) wasn't even home, although I did manage to stay awake until he was back. He was obviously surprised to find me in bed and was very concerned (sweet!) so decided I ought to tell him about being pregnant to stop him worrying. He was delighted

Aaaaaahhhhhhhhh I don't feel sick at all! VERY scared. Help I am panicking reading all your posts and I KNOW how awful MS is so don't mean to say 'Oh lucky you for feeling so rank' but actually that's kinda what I am thinking. So sooooo sick (nauseous and vomitty) from 5-14 weeks last time and not at all this time. That's a bad sign right?
I am 5 weeks and 2 days now.
Any reassurances so welcome!
PS I do have spots though and am definitely cranky and irritable as my DH keeps telling me!!

Phoenix · 18/11/2008 10:03

Hi Belgrano, I had no sickness at all in my 1st pg and i thought i had none in this too but i am starting to feel a bit sick sometimes. All pg's are different

Thanks both. Boobs not really at all sore either. They def were last time. But peeing for britain.
Maybe at 6 weeks it's all going to start.
To add to th8ings, my (unknowing) colleague just told me that 1 in 3 pgs miscarries before 6 weeks, according to the scan man at the OSCAR clinic round here. Is that true, anyone know? I did not know that and do not like it at all!
Gahhhh. Its all such a worry isnt it?

Misspaella · 18/11/2008 10:26

Morning
Christiana, you have made me laugh! I can put 50p towards your Maldives trip. Wouldn't want to see you go without.

Belgrano my ms kicked in at exactly 6 weeks but my last 2 pg it didn't appear til 7-8 weeks.

I am having a good day and can keep food down and only slight nausea. Of course instead of enjoying it I am keeping an eye it to make sure it doesn't mean anything sinister. It's swings and roundabouts, isn't it?

Is anyone else having probs drinking water? I am just managing a 1 1/2pints a day. That can't be good?

Hobnob57 did you chat to your GP? Hope all is ok?

Congrats Bozette and any other new BFP's.
