Hi, I'm also on the June thread but officially my due date would be 4th July 2009 so thought I'd better set up a thread for all these summer babies.

Got 3 BFP's yesterday although technically I am only 3+2 weeks. Would love to symptom spot with fellow early testers. Surely there must be more of us out there !! I can't be the first

Thanks for support everyone. Some brown bits (sorry for TMI) overnight but very minimal and nothing more to report. But having read a bit in my distress, it sounds like it could be nothing, or a big deal, and there's absolutely no way of knowing. Fat lot of good that is. But feel sick this morning, so maybe that's a good sign. Will request early scan, there's nothing I can do right now I don't think.

Pants. Was enjoying it up to now too. And had thought I hadn't really 'committed' to this pg yet, but found myself in floods last night. I guess it's not possible to insulate yourself from the emotions, even this early in pg.

Hope all you sickly folk are coping - anyone tried preggie pops, those gingery things? DP got me some ginger ale last night, did the trick.

london11 · 14/11/2008 09:55

My bottle of ginger ale is my new best friend Morning sickness seems to have turned into all day and all night nausea.

scully · 14/11/2008 10:01

Hope everything is ok Mij.
Can understand the potatoes Christiana, carbs are good in the 1st trimester
I'm very tired at night and still very tender (.) but otherwise ok. I don't think the tiredness is helped by being 38 and having 2 dd's to run around after
I got nauseas at around 7wks with my other pregnancies, so hopefully have another week before that sets in. Remember being a big fan of ginger ale too
We're off to Byron Bay this weekend, 30deg on Sat, woo hoo

ready2pop · 14/11/2008 10:25

Hi ladies can I join you?

Tested yesyerday and got a BFP . I think I will be due in July but am not really sure as I'm still breastfeeding my DS (who is 8 months) so my periods have been all over the place anyway.

It feels very early yet and a bit unreal but I am delighted although worrying about how I will manage with two.

Christiana let us know how your scan goes. I am sure all will be fine.

Mij haven't spoken to you yet but hope you're better.

Ready2pop love the name. Congrats.

I am really feeling it today and too tired to take DC's out and too sick to face any food other than plain carbs. It is such a gorgeous day as well.

Hi

Thought I'd join this message board as I am due 3rd July and feeling anxious as have suffered a few mmc's before. I have a dd who is nearly 4 years old and because of previous problems haven't told anyone I am pg except my dh. It is nice just to talk to someone as I my hormones are making me feel quite tearful as well as very sick. Haven't been to the doctors yet as I want to wait as long as possible before having a scan in case anything is wrong.

Thanks Christiana

Trying to be positive, think what makes it worse is that my daughter desperately wants a brother or sister, even to the point of telling her nursery teacher and friends in school that she was having a baby brother or sister when I wasn't even pregnant.

Think once I have the scan will be able to actually celebrate the pregnancy but until then I will just drive my dh mad.

Belgrano · 14/11/2008 13:54

Thanks for the help with the booze conundrum ladies, v helpful.
Hope Mij is ok. Poor you, so worrying.
And poor everyone who's got the sickness already.
Found a new worry now - my temp is up - 37.2-37.4 C and has been since I conceived. That's what made me suspect I was pg in fact. Added to that, normally I am a cold person with a temp of just below the avg of 36.4C (weird and impossible sounding, yes, but true whenever I take my temp!). So now I feel v feverish and chilly all the time, & go to sleep in loads of layers with a fleece on and big blanket on top of the duvet. Keep waking up at 6 am drowned in sweat as a result, and only this morning remembered the bit of pregnancy advice about not getting your core temp up too high. Mine must be sky high all night until I wake up at 6 and take off some layers. Much worse than taking a hot bath or sauna. I really hope I haven't done any damage to the little'un.
Any views anyone?

Mij · 14/11/2008 15:33

eeuughhkkk! Feel as sick as a poorly dog on an off-day. And it feels like elves are sticking tiny acupuncture needles in my boobs.

Hope that's a good sign. Have been on the phone to NHS direct (only cos my bloody GPs surgery haven't been answering the phone all sodding day) and they seemed to think that with such minor symptoms they wouldn't even bother with an early scan. So will be keeping my legs crossed all weekend and hoping for the best.

Belgrano - I've been feeling a bit shaky and waking up hot in the night (when the heating's definately off - got up two nights ago to check cos couldn't understand why I was sweating!) but not as bad as you by the sound of it. As you're waking up to throw off the covers, maybe you needn't worry too much about your core temp? Staying past the point of acceptably sweaty in a bath or sauna would be worse, wouldn't it? No medical backup there, just gut instinct!!

christiana, how's things?

I am having a very very bad day on the sicky side and keep reminding myself that symptons are a good sign. I truly feel as if I have a dirty hangover which of course I don't.

Just feel bad as today is a bad mommy day because of this - DC's are just about being fed and dressed with lots of Peppa Pig on telly.

Mrsmope welcome.

Welcome doublehelp

I'm still about christianas potatoes! Poor ladies - I'm enjoying every nausea-free day at the moment. The only thing that worked for me last time was satsumas during the day and rice pudding before bedtime.

I've updated the list - sorry if there are any inaccuracies/omissions.

I've been trying on my old selection of evening dresses for a do tomorrow. This blubbery bloating business is very depressing

DD had a temperature all night but seems a bit better today and the hot cheek has disappeared, so I'm not pursuing the slapped cheek thing.

Forever · 14/11/2008 17:31

hi everyone, congratulations. I am 6 or 7 weeks just now - was taking mini-pill so confused about my dates. Just want to know if anyone else feels like they have period pains - I have very sore crampy lower belly and am constantly checking to see if I'm bleeding, it's very scary. I have two lovely boys already, but also had MC couple of years ago so feeling worried. Anyone else experiencing pain like this?

im suffering from a crmpy belly too forever . im still paranoid about having a mc. starting to feel a bit nauseas (sp)(taking this as a good sign?!) through the day so not eating anything, had massive plate of lasagne for tea and now trying to think what else i can eat as im sooooo hungry! is this normal?

woollyjo · 14/11/2008 20:45

Hi All just checking in

Belgrano I go to bed freezing and wake up roasting too - have turned the heating off in our bedroom, hoping DH won't notice. No idea what my temp is mind.

Forever I'm crampy too, keep doing pants checks due to previous mcs, but I didn't get cramps with them until they were well underway. I'm hoping it is just stretchy pains.

7 weeks today, early scan in 10 days - can someone please knock me out and wake me up at xmas, 12 weeks in with a healthy scan pic in my hand please.

Acceber · 14/11/2008 21:40

Hi everyone I would like to join in too. I think I am due 10th July so I am six weeks today. This is my first pregancy so a bit nervous.

Been to visit the doctor and she was really nice but didn't do much except take my blood pressure. She said that the midwife will contact me - I'm a bit unsure about this process.

Best wishes to you all

Gillyan · 15/11/2008 00:26

Hi ladies - My due date is 7th June not 7th July so should I not be on here really? I am 6 n half weeks but midwives have told me different dates?? Shame I like the sound of you guy's, I've put a few innoncent comments on other threads and have had people ranting at me and all sorts - I'm scared to go n the June one in case any of these lovely ladies are on there

Forever · 15/11/2008 08:06

Sadly I think I am having a MC. Got some bleeding now and still bad cramps. Feeling pretty sad but trying to be philosophical (must have been something wrong, huh? And better now than later). Did a preg test this morning though and it still says I'm pregnant. Have read stuff about this happening if you're carrying twins and lose one - anyone know anything about that? Good luck to all the rest of you.
