I know MrsEvs its hard to know how much wee constitutes 'partially'. At my CVS (that they couldn't do in the end) last wk they asked me to partially empty my bladder, so I wee'd for what I thought was the right amount of time (?) and went back and they said it was still very full! No wonder I was in so much pain with it. Yow.
Then they made me empty it totally (blissful) then re-fill it to bursting point. Yow again. Then the consultant buggered off somewhere and I was left lying in the scan room with a bladder the size of a small country groaning in agony. DH also needed a pee, and I (evil wife that I am) refused to let him go either! Hee hee.

Jools1 · 04/11/2008 13:47

My scan appt letter had some guidelines on it I think - will check tonight but it was something like "drink 6 glasses of water 1.5 hours before the appt.

My hospital is only ten mins walk away (not the one with the maternity unit unfortunately, just ultrasound) - how can I cross my legs and walk !!!

i actually asked the sonographer after my scan if any women he'd scanned ever had an 'accident' as I felt bursting. He said the worst was just that they had to run out to the loo as quickly as poss.

I'd only had some of a litre bottle of water on my way to the scan and was still bursting. but it was enough for us to see baby quite well.

SweetBROODY · 04/11/2008 14:30

I wonder if any of us are having more then one baby! There are twins in both my mum and dads families...

i'd quite like twins...

Jools1 · 04/11/2008 14:39

hehe - no twins in my family afaik, but I have heard that older mums have more chance of having twins

In a way, I'd kind of like to have two at once, just in case I don't get time to try for a second. Then, I think about being a clueless first time mum who has never even changed a nappy before and go weak at the knees with fear at that thought !!!

I also know that my ovulation on the BFP cycle was very strange - I usually get ov pains for 3 or 4 hours - this time, I got that on the Thurs evening, BD'd that night and have more OV pains the next morning - 2 eggs perhaps

LOL that would be wicked! I'm a first timer but i've practically bought up all my siblings so not tooo nervous.. maybe a little worried about the birth and just fingers crossed that its a healthy baby - it would be great to do both at one time!

Jonesy68 · 04/11/2008 14:59

Hey Girlies, I have stumbled across this website

baby website

It has 3D pics of baby week by week and also a 'problems' section that talks about loads of common complaints, etc, reasons behind cravings etc. It's quite informative.

runningmonkey · 04/11/2008 17:42

Jonesy So sorry that you didn't have better news. I hope you are getting some tlc and support at home. xx

SweetBROODY · 04/11/2008 18:09

Reggiee · 04/11/2008 18:24

Jonesy really sorry to hear your news . Please take care of yourself ((hugs)).

runningmonkey · 04/11/2008 18:56

Hi all,
Been off searching through MN as I have a weird problem that I don't know is a pg symptom or not. I have one really painful boob (left), not just tender, an actual ache like a pulled muscle but behind nipple. Can't find anything about it doing a search. Any ideas?

detsy · 04/11/2008 19:09

JOnesy really sorry, got everything crossed for you next time. Take care of yourself and take all the time you need xx

detsy · 04/11/2008 19:13

Runningmonkey - i get this pain too in one side behind nipple. I had it last time, its normal but quite sore!

I also got some strange mole things - like crusty little itchy brown moles - most attractive. Got them on boobs, tummy, back and legs. Also quite common but more hereditary type of wart virus which is irritated by pgncy. Oh and verrucas too, nice!! Currently using the gaffer tape remedy on the verrucas as no one can vouch for bazuka

Now I need a dominos pizza - veggie supreme but no deliveries here as in sticks. Is it worth me going to next town to get one? The need is considerable but I'm in chavvy stained trackie and smell of pee....

No not really that bad but not feeling "blooming" today...

Febes · 04/11/2008 19:14

The scan results weren't good and they have made the horrid decision to turn off the machines probably tomorrow. All kiss and cuddle and thank god for your babies tonight.
