sweetbroody- Oh yeah, nearly forgot about the full bladder thing (although also have to take an early morning sample with me- not sure what I'll put it in- don't have a proper sample pot).

Jonesy68 · 03/11/2008 16:07

Thnx pulapula - the spotting is still ongoing but is light brown, not red so I am hoping is nothing. When I had MC it became heavy and red pretty quick. I am hoping cramps are just the constipation (partly due to my underactive thyroid apparently). This PG lark's not all a bed o'roses is it?!

Congrats fikelly hope I will be as elated as you tomorrow....

SweetBROODY · 03/11/2008 16:11

Jonesy good luck sweetheart.. I feel for you... I didnt even know i'd misccaried last time. They had to do a procedure!

It defo not easy...

I just hope it is all ok.. I just want a healthy little baby!

Jools1 · 03/11/2008 16:13

Fingers and toes crossed for you Jonesy Pulapula - I went into Boots and asked for a sample bottle - they gave me one free

Hey is it normal to not be hungry all the time? I mean a lot of the ladies have said they are hungry all the time.. I havent really had that.. I have been watching what I eat and trying to be healthy with the foods... :S I hope everythings ok and I'm not just being paranoid!

Moonlit · 03/11/2008 17:12

FiKelly - I am so pleased all is well with your little bean.

pulapula - From what I have seen little boys are always getting into mischief, falling over, touching things they shouldn't etc. It doesn't mean you are a bad mother. Your DS is just a typical little boy! He won't remember these things and nor should you! As mothers we can only do our best and you ARE!

Jonesy68 - Keeping everything crossed for you for tomorrow. I am sure everything is ok, just your little bean reminding you he/she is in there.

MrsEvs - Your lard comment made me giggle. I am the same too

agooboo · 03/11/2008 17:17

Well, I have just been really disappointed with Sainsbury's Bread and Butter Pudding. I really fancied it since yesterday and got home tonight and it did NOT live up to my pregnancy craving expectations! I remember my dad used to make the nicest one ever and for some reason assumed it would taste like that. I think I will call him for the recipe. Should have done that in the first place! The ambrosia custard was yummy though!

Sweetbroody - we are 'doing it' my hubby couldn't go longer than a couple of days tbh! I'm making the most of certain positions whilst we still can! LOL!

runningmonkey · 03/11/2008 17:41

hi All,
Just been prepping some lessons for my sixth form and found this website that I used with them last year... www.visembryo.com/baby/pregnancytimeline.html forgotten all about it, there are some pretty detailed images and info on there in case anyone is interested - or maybe its just me being a science geek

jonesy fingers and toes crossed for you. I hope everything is ok.

fi good to hear all ok with your scan.

runningmonkey · 03/11/2008 17:43

ps. not done it yet as been feeling too rough. Had a couple of saucy dreams recently tho so hopefully the right mood is coming back DH is feeling neglected I think.

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 03/11/2008 18:54

Hi!

We are not "doing it". After my mmc problems this year, GP actually advised not to for first 12 week. I'm sure it doesn't cause any problems but have really not felt like it at all. DH does keep dropping hints about it but he doesn't seem too fed up yet...

FiKelly - congratulations!!

jonesy - hope all goes well for you too. I have an underactive thyroid and have been sufferring with the constipation. This wkend though I suddenly started eating satsumas - I ate about 10 and that seemed to help things along nicely!!

Today I had to eat cheese and yoghurt! Do you think that means I need the calcium as the bones are forming??!

divedaisy · 03/11/2008 19:06

Oh Jonsey - everything crossed for you. Hope scan tomorrow goes well. Some GPs jsut aren't that skilled at using the ultra scanner.

FiKelly - fab news! I go tomorrow for mine and am getting really nervous. I don't know what to expect really... what are 'good' results??

Dh taking DS to juJitsu (and he's going to pop into Tescos to grab a few things we need - WOW!!) Well, I don't get a night off, instead I have to go to the PTA meeting!!! So best go and brush my teeth.

As for 'doing it' - I too don't really like the way DH smells at times - weird! But not interested! DH keeps complaining that I was horny as hell until I got pregnant - I've used him! Poor babe!!

Febes · 03/11/2008 19:18

Cool web site! I think by looking at that and realising that most of us are nearly in the 2nd trimester means we have to stop called our LOs beans now!! There definately more to them than beaness now.

I have sad news a friend had her baby 2 months early on the weekend by emergency CS after not feeling the baby move for a while and the heart beat was fast. The baby is not moving now and docotrs have said it will be a miracle if she gets better as she has damage to her brain. I feel desparately sad for her them and just can't begin to understand what they must be going through.

agooboo · 03/11/2008 19:31

Febes, I'm really sorry and so sad for your friend. Big hugs. x

FiKelly · 03/11/2008 19:59

febes so sorry about your friends.. they must be devastated

divedaisy apparently the threshold for them to recommend further testing is 1 in 150. so the further you are from that the better the result.

sweetbroody i'm not hungry all the time either. in fact i can't seem to finish my normal portion size. not really snacking either. but i am drinking lots of milk!

whoever mentioned hot milk lingerie i've just had a look.. totally gorgeous!

hey i've a double! not sure how that happened..

runningmonkey · 03/11/2008 20:06

febes so sad for your friends. Not a nice thing to go through at all.

Off to look at hotmilk now. Is it just me or does the name seem a bit wrong?!

FiKelly · 03/11/2008 20:22

runningmonkey i know what you mean.. although my first thought was hot chocolate.. milky drinks on the brain! when i realised it was all maternity lingerie definitely puts a twist on that lol

Lottie kept her Bean name - we still call her bean now and its also one of her middle names

Poor mite is not well, I had alittle panic this morning as there is a batch of measles in the local area and she woke up covered in a red rash, aaghhh! Anyway its been diagnosed as a viral rash which is signifying the end of a bad cold/cough. Not had experiece of one of those before. She's been rough today tho and has just wanted cuddles which is most unlike her as she is usually more interested in jumping on you and pulling your hair! The only time she was noisy coincided directly with a conference call I had with German colleagues - don't think they were too impressed with the additional uninvited participant...

Can't believe how many of you are "at it" god I have neither the energy nor the inclination - my DP also thinks he has been used and abused. Still things may look up now we're in 2nd trimester - more energy and blooming,

detsy · 03/11/2008 22:18

Who mentioned a special bag for pee pots and tena lady - now i def need one of those!! Gap in the market there for a maternity bag - we could design one - a handbag but with special pregnancy compartments for samples, notes, tena and panty liners, wet wipes, forehead. special places for keys and all the other things pgnt ladies are prone to misplace...fabulous idea. ANd a notebook for all the things we need to ask at appts and forget as brains are mushed by hormones.

MrsEvs · 03/11/2008 22:21

Oh febes that is so heartbreaking for your friend, I'm so sorry

Great news fikelly and best of luck jonesy! runningmonkey the Hot Milk name made me feel slightly nauseous actually (but then everything does!) . Lovely stuff though

I'm definately not eating all the time - too nauseous still, but hopefully the end is nigh!

We're going to Disney/Seaworld for 5 days on the 13th and I'm desperately hoping I'll be feeling a bit better!

detsy · 03/11/2008 22:31

bedlinensetc.com/page/BLE/CTGY/Sofa-Bed-Sheets

Who was asking about a sofa bed with integral bedding? This isn't one but may do the trick more readily than making up from scratch??

FiKelly · 03/11/2008 22:37

detsy our ds had a viral rash some time ago. looked alarming but didn't last long.. gone in a week if i remember right. he was just v grisly and grumpy!

detsy · 03/11/2008 22:59

Fi Thanks for that - yes it looks alarming and she is also very grumpy and clingy and unsettled. So looks like I'm working from home this week - still at least I'll get lots of snuggles
