I've done my back in all i did was bend to take the luxury fish pie i'd made for lunch out of the oven and suddenly twang i've been hobling around since. luckily i had some heat pads so i've stuck one on. might have to have a soak myself.. hope it eases off tomorrow.

dandy i have same bra prob.. j cup. maybe someday they'll invent technology advanced enough to make strapless bras that can defy gravity!

MsG · 01/11/2008 19:00

Hi ladies. Haven't had chance to read all the posts but I trust everyone is ok. I'm a wee bit anxious at the moment - I was 10 weeks on Thursday and last year we started to realise we were losing the baby at 10 and a bit weeks. I get a bit worried whenever I have a twinge or something. Scan's next Friday though, so not long to wait really.

I keep getting really moody with my DH though. I don't even realise I'm doing it though so it's hard not to!

x

MsG · 01/11/2008 19:01

Ooh, FiKelly, sorry to hear about your back - hope the heat pads help. xx

Wow, I'm not the only one with a cup size bordering on the middle of the alphabet! Bravissimo is truly my friend.

Had a mild stab at potty training DS today. We went to John Lewis and he chose some pants with planes on and he was so excited! Not a very successful experiment but he really loves his pants!

alapala · 01/11/2008 20:07

hello all
Well my mum has left these shores so we are back to fending for ourselves, and DS is a sad little boy. But I finally went to the doctor yesterday (he was armed with his Spanish-english gynae dictionnary - who knew there was such a thing!) and have my scan is week on Monday. Not too long now. Nipped to ikea today and seem to have ended up with a bag of Dime bars...oops.

Febes · 01/11/2008 20:08

G Cup here (waves at big boobie buddies)

Jennster · 01/11/2008 20:15

I went to Manchester yesterday to do some maternity clothes shopping and ended up in tears.

We had a delicious lunch in Wagammama's, and then off for some serious shopping. I've been on Gap website and in the States they do long and tall trousers in maternity so I was VERY excited, having been in the massive one in Liverpool to be told the nearest place that had maternity was Manchester. Any way Gap in the UK don't do mail order, so I thought brilliant. Some jeans that won't make me look like a mutant. Can you picture my face when I go from one stand, to the next to the next rifling through all the piles to find standard length the ONLY EFFING length they do. I burst in to tears and was inconsolable. By the time the assistant came over I was hopping mad. All the tops I liked didn't have my size. So I went from Next (only do long in branches and like somebody mentioned the extra long are 2 inches shorter than their non maternity extra long) to the shop that packed up and wasn't there any more in Police Street to Blooming effing short arse marvelous to Long Tall Sally that only do mail order Maternity. I'm only bloody 5'10''. What do really bloody tall people do?

Rant over.

I only want to try stuff on and not have to bundle loads of stuff to and from the post office because I've ordered loads of sizes.

FiKelly · 01/11/2008 20:19

I'm a bravissimo girl too i don't even bother looking in the shops anymore. talking about middle of alphabet i went through my nursing bras the other day and they were k's and l's

Jennster · 01/11/2008 20:20

Just been on Long Tall Sally website and what do you know? They don't bloody do jeans.

Jennster · 01/11/2008 20:21

Sorry for swearing.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 01/11/2008 20:24

Hi guys, had my scan yesterday all was well but very emotional couldn't really look at the screen as just want to get cvs over with ....

Frazzled glad all went well for you even though no cvs, although now I'm even more worried can that be possible!?!

As it was a dating scan I got my dates my edd is 2nd June so I'm no longer one of you anymore I'll pop in from time to time but I think I'm going to move over to the june thread otherwise I'll constantly be behind the curve iyswim.

speak to you all soon

Doris

Febes · 01/11/2008 20:25

I'm also 5'10" Jennster Try Funmum.com I think I got some from there last time. Its such a pain isn't it.

DorisIsAPinkDragon · 01/11/2008 20:26

Oh and another midle alphabet bravissimo girl !

MsG · 01/11/2008 20:29

Doris, sorry to see you moving to June! Glad the scan was OK though!

Bravissimo is my friend, too. After years of being told I was a C or D cup by a certain high street store who you assume know what they're doing, Bravissimo finally sorted me out with an E or F... Am currently wearing G though!

Jennster, I'm 5.10 too. Haven't bought any maternity clothes yet; just bought a few things in a bigger size. After my scan I want to get some though so do let me know if you find anywhere!! I often wonder what really tall women do.

llareggub · 01/11/2008 20:33

Weirdly my size didn't change at all last pregnancy. As I'm a G already I hope it'll be the same this time. I'm back in soft cups though, the underwires are too uncomfortable sadly.

FiKelly · 01/11/2008 20:43

jennster sorry you had a rotten day.. sucks big time. i know you want to try things on but I found some 96cm long isabella oliver trousers on ebay. not jeans i'm afraid but looked nice. messaged seller as length wasn't mentioned in description & alas to long for me.

surfing on phone at mo so can't do a link. they are a io size 4 and brown.. 6 days to go.. seller hotdevonbabe! quite a few other long maternity trousers on ebay at mo. not same as trying them on though..

Momino · 01/11/2008 20:52

hi all. haven't been on in couple of days, hope all are well.

Loubylou, glad for the good results.
alapala - i loved dime bars and vanilla ice cream early in pregnancy but can't face them now for some reason (overdid it?).
as for cup size, i think i'll graduate to a b cup soon! funny, after last pregnancies and b/feeding i didn't keep any of the cupsize.

am 14 weeks now and wearing my topshop mat jeans. they fit/feel great but waist is still huge and i have to wear a belt so they don't fall down. i just can't manage to find maternity jeans that don't show a builder's crack .

am watching bad telly now, x factor, and dh just brought in some lovely supper so off to fill my big tummy.

FiKelly · 01/11/2008 20:56

DH finished with laptop so nabbed it

jennsterio brown trousers on ebay

Just out of interest what leg length and hip size do you need. I'm trawling through maternity on the net as my choice of local shops is extremely limited. Can keep an eye out for you

I didn't know about Bravissimo for years, and as I didn't even realise I was wearing the wrong size it didn't occur to me to look for anywhere else! Daft really!

Jennster · 01/11/2008 22:20

96cm is 37inches!

Thank you so much for linking those for me. I have some OK jeans which will do, and my work trousers will be OK because I wear absolute flat shoes so won't look too odd. It's the jeans though I really want. I'd settle for 34inch (all sold out in Topshop) but usualy go for 35-36inch. Can't find a tape measure right now so not sure what my hips are but TS 14 and Gap UK 12/US8 are the size I'm wearing right now.

Dandylioness, I have a little bit of size 12/14 summer stuff if you are interested. I can post them to you if you like. Cropped linen pants and a couple of vests. If you are interested I will take a proper look and list it for you. I wouldn't mind it back as [hopeful] May will be warm and we will need it????? You are welcome to it for your holiday though.

Jools1 · 01/11/2008 22:25

hmmm - a little jealous of all you busty ladies

I was struggling to fill a C cup, but am now just about popping out of it, so am thrilled with the prospect of having a "D" and a cleavage !!

Doris - I spend far too much time online and, having and estimated edd of May 29th, have been chatting on the June thread aswell, so will see you there

Jennster - sorry you had a horrid shopping day I have the opposite problem - even the "short" trousers in M&S are often too long for me unless I am in heels !!

Just got in from a fairly awkward party where I only knew one other person- a birthday "do" for someone I haven't seen in over a year. It is so difficult to know what to say when you need a big catchup session but there is too much going on. I had a glass of half champagne, half orange juice - sooooooooo nice I've also realised that I've become a hermit since my BFP - have been in our local pub, but that is the only real socialising I've done, and it felt really uncomfortable.

OP posts:
Jennster · 01/11/2008 22:33

Jools before dc1 I was barely a B. I've been pregnant and breastfeeding permanently since April 2005 and I'm currently a D, although have been DD and nearly an E. It's really weird though, because I don't feel much different. I longed for something more than pancakes all my school life, and now they're not I don't feel that they are much bigger.

detsy · 01/11/2008 23:08

shattered after dd party and off to bed! Had fun tho but croed a bit as can't nelievr she's nearly1! Does anyone want a brown medium Jo Jo wrap top, worn once and hate it, it's stupid!! Foc so let me know. Night
