I don't like water or tea or coffee....

Tbh, never really drink enough and when I do it's diet coke. Trying to be a bit better recently and drinking caffeine free diet coke, sometimes ribena and sometimes fruit juice and the odd hot chocolate.

Really should make more of an effort....

frazzledoldbag34 · 29/10/2008 21:32

thanks for the good luck everyone.
much appreciated x

SesHashadafab12weekscan · 29/10/2008 21:33

Will be thinking of you frazzled

Momino · 29/10/2008 21:41

agooboo, I got bad heartburn at the end of the last two pregnancies. Haven't had it too bad yet but waiting, just waiting.

Also, about the cardigan, you were prob right to get size 8 if it's a maternity cardi. they say to buy your usual size in the maternity range.

Hello everybody, hope all is well.
I got to hear the heartbeat on Tuesday which was a huge relief. I am starting to actually believe that I might get a baby out of this after all! Heartburn here is not too bad so far but it is a little hard to tell as I am constantly feeling like throwing up still. Also having trouble with uhhum constipation...sorry too much info but I have never experienced it before and to be honest I think I prefer the throwing up well maybe not but it sure isn't pleasant. Only craving I have and only thing that doesn't automatically return to where it came from is orange juice. I was the same with ds so don't know if it might indicate another boy or not. Also is anyone else stuck with bras...my normal ones don't fit but my maternity bras from ds are still too big and I really don't want to but ones just for a couple of months....what to do, what to do.

FiKelly · 30/10/2008 08:32

frazzle all the best for today.

justgotbfp in last week I've noticed same problem with bras. i'm finding they've started to get tight around ribs and i'm already using the outer hooks. i'm filling the cups more and recon i'll bulge out in next month. i have huge boobs already and find non wired bras don't cut it at all for support. so to keep my current ones going for a short while i'm going to use an extender.. then track down new maternity bras. my cup went up after having ds so my old maternity bras are too small.

bantam73 · 30/10/2008 08:59

Morning everyone

Good luck for all you who are having scans, appointments ect today.

We had our scan on tuesday and I still keep looking at the photo to make sure it's real.

I told the lady that did the scan that I think that I have been feeling movement for 2-3 wks and asked if it is possible or is it in my mind as we are only 13+5wks. Her answer was yes it is possible because my placenta is right at the back I could easily be feeling it's movement.

It feels likes a gentle twitching.

Has anyone else felt anything? I thought I was been silly.

The thing I enjoy to drink is ice cold lemonade with at least half a glass of ice in,
Even with the cold weather, ice cold for me or nothing.

And my heartburn has started in the last couple of days aswell.

Jools1 · 30/10/2008 09:08

Thinking of you today Frazzled

Constipation - I seem to have temporarily cured mine and switching breakfast cereals from Oatibix to M&S luxury muesli. I also have a large glass of fresh fruit juice with brekki - think it helps get things moving

Got out of the shower today and spent ages hunting for work clothes, only to find that I've forgotten to put the washing on !! Have had to squeeze myself into a top that really doesn't fit my boobs any more !! By the end of the afternoon, my bras are feeling tight too, so I'm using them on the looser setting now. Trying to hold out till after my scan before buying anything - superstitious worrier that I am !!

My belly seems to be shrinking rather than expanding , so I was really quite glad to feel mildly nauseous again last night after my spinning class !!

Febes · 30/10/2008 09:08

I thought I had started to feel the baby moving (I'm 13 weeks). I too thought I was mad but maybe I have....
I had a horrible time last night I went to bed and was really unsettled and couldn't sleep then had a touch of heartburn- surely its too early for that. Then got up and throw up my dinner- horrible!!! Its been a few days since I last threw up and I was hoping things had settled down but maybe not. Last time I kept throwing up until 7 months but just on and off and normally after a meal that churned in my stomach for a few hours.
At least the hung over sickie feeling of MS is gone.

DD is in such a good mood today she's playing and laughing to herself so I'm enjoying her.

Jools1 · 30/10/2008 09:08

Bantam - lovely to hear about feeling early movements

OP posts:
llareggub · 30/10/2008 10:05

I don't think you're mad, Bantam. I'm 13 weeks and have been feeling movement for a while. At first I put it down to wind but it is a different feeling. Mine are getting stronger than a fluttering now, more like a squirming around. It's very lovely.

I remember when I was pregnant with DS, at around 30 weeks, I'm sure I felt him turn around, and it was the oddest feeling. I longed for him to do it again but he didn't.

I've craved milk and cheese the last few days, and like someone else, it has had to be the strongest mature cheddar. Milk has to be ice cold, too. I've gone off sweet things, just like I did with DS. I have the strongest feeling that we are having another boy.

runningmonkey · 30/10/2008 10:07

Frazzled, will be thinking of you today. Good luck.

I've started getting heartburn as well when I lie down, woke up at 6 this morning by it. Not really found anything to cure it apart from a glass of water.

re bras. I'm having the same problem - I found a few nice-ish ones on the figleaves clearance site - even some with matching pants!! I also got a two pack for £16 from M&S but they're not v supportive for my mahoosive bazookas. The figleaves ones should arrive today - I'll let you know what they're like.

www.figleavesclearance.co.uk/

FiKelly · 30/10/2008 10:54

runningmonkey just had a look at their clearance... nothing left in the size i'm going to need oh well

www.bravissimo.com/products/lingerie have been great for my size and I know they've a few options for me. It's not so much my large cup that limits me it's my small rib cage it's always been hard to find my normal 28J/30HH bras if i can eek out till i expand to a 32 it may be easier to get the bigger cup sizes... as long as I don't expand off the scale with my cup size too!

FiKelly · 30/10/2008 11:08

OMG i've just tried on the drop cup nursing bras from having DS and on the tightest hooks the cups and ribs fit now! This doesn't bode well for getting nursing bras with next LO... do they make nursing bras bigger than 34K ARRRGH?!?!

daizydoo · 30/10/2008 11:10

Frazzled hope all goes well today.

We had our 1st scan yesterday which was good. They've moved my due date to the 13th May, but I'm still sticking to mine as it means my husband wasn't around for the conception!! I changed my facebook status yesterday to say that I'm pregnant now I'm so popular everyone is emailing me!

I have to say that I'm drinking loads of water, anything else has to be in moderation as too much makes me feel ill!! I've also gone off rice and pasta so that means poor DH is living on chips and potatoes!!!

I had a couple of hours to kill in town yesterday and do you think I could find any maternity clothes - nothing nada!

Jools1 · 30/10/2008 11:24

Well I've merely moved up from being too big for a B cup but not really filling a C cup, to filling the C

Quite happy with that at the moment - wondering how much bigger my meagre assets will get !

OP posts:
FiKelly · 30/10/2008 11:34

Jools1 generally you go up at least 2 cup sizes by the time the milk comes in I really wish I was just a tad smaller it would be so much easier to get bras ;)

Febes · 30/10/2008 11:54

I went up from FF to a G cup when I had DD and am still in those bras now as am still breastfeeding. I did go up a bit when I fel PG again but not enough to worry about a new bra thank goodness.
I found that for the first few days after birth my boobs got bigger but then settled down again so I got the same size but softer bra especially for wearing at night which I had to do for 6 months. I'm hoping for less leckage this time if I can manage to keep feeding DD throughout.

zuka · 30/10/2008 12:04

the scan was lovely!! all is ok, we had a good look at the little baby waving its arms around i'm very relieved and i think it's making things a bit more real for my hubby too
think will spend the rest of the day staring at the pics!

ps: the horrid headache just went away - like that. can't say i miss it and thanks for all the tips - will keep for the next time (of course secretly hoping won't ever need them)

febes i'm praying i'm like you and don't increase in cup size again. I know royce do an 'L' cup but it fits me like my NCT 'K' so it will be no good if I increase when BF. If the worst comes to the worst i'll have to buy a rib size up to get the larger cup and then take it in round the middle. Good job I can sew but it's a job i'd rather avoid

Febes · 30/10/2008 12:37

Zuka- Congrats its lovely seeing them for the first time isn't it. Did they tell you it was a girl??? Can they tell yet or are you just guessing/hoping?

SweetBROODY · 30/10/2008 12:48

bantam73 I'm so glad you said that about your scan.. i've been feeling movement and thought I was just going mad! Its so exciting ladies...

LOL you guys have seriously made me crave for cheesy toasties and being at work I cant even get them And tomatoe soup Its so bad.. if I hear people talk about food I really want it!

I had a terrible nightmare yesterday.. that I wasnt around for the baby and I was in hospital with cncser :S it was really odd and felt so real.. But then all my dreams feel real. I am so so tired at the moment and my MIL dropped a bombshell a few weeks ago thats seriosuly making me feel sickyier then I would normally I am sure! She said I cant wash my hair til the baby arrives! I am still quite scared and at 12 weeks seems so close but so far. Its luike I was saying to DH that this time - last time I'd lost the baby so I guess I am more anxious this time around!

Febes · 30/10/2008 12:52

Why can't you wash your hair? I've heard of not colouring your hair but I couldn't go with out washing it.
