Thanks to whoever mentioned Crave. Just had a look and found some 34inch jeans. 2 inches too short but beggars can't be choosers. Anyway these discount codes are valid until Thursday.

CRAVECRUNCH10 ? in order to get 10% off whatever you purchase
CRAVECRUNCH20 ? if you want to get 20% off (note this only applies to orders over £125)
CRAVECRUNCH30? if you want to get 30% off (note this only applies to orders over £250)

hello everyone...tomorrow is my visit to mw so a bit nervous. Dh will have to come home early as I can't take ds with me as my mw is based at the maternity hospital and ds has come down with hand foot and mouth. Must ask mw if that is dangerous for bump or not. Poor ds is miserable am very worried he will get dehydrated as I have managed to get very little into him even though he really wants to eat and drink, his mouth is too sore.

Have dull ache on one side pretty consistently, is this any thing others have experienced, not intense or even particularly uncomfortable but noticable and there

CoteDAzur · 27/10/2008 07:56

This is probably TMI and a bit , but does anyone else have too much CM?

I've been wearing thin panty liners, so as not to permanently stick to my underwear. I don't remember it being this bad in earlier pregnancy.

Is this normal?

llareggub · 27/10/2008 08:00

CoedAzur very normal! Don't worry.

frazzledoldbag34 · 27/10/2008 09:19

Morning all. Had a busy weekend - took DD1 to Mary Poppins in Edinburgh with some friends on Sat - was fantastic then had family and friends over for late lunch yesterday. Was so exhausted that I was in bed by 9.30pm both nights!
I'm now 11wks +3 and seriously look about 5 months gone. I just have this enormous bump - my stomach just seems to have 'popped' out - I can still get my normal jeans on but they are quite low cut but I really need some longer tops as the big boobs and bump pull everything up. Can't believe I'm so big already (and tbh am a bit disappointed not to be able to wear 'normal' clothes a bit longer). Shouldn't moan, but just feel fat. My 38 wks pg friend still has my maternity clothes and so won't get them back for a while, and tbh not sure if I want them back! Might just splurge on a few more new bits. Bought some black skinny jeans last week in Dorothy Perkins - nice and only £20 - elastic waist extenders at the back so just look like normal jeans when on. Really want a couple of IO tops - may just splurge today - should really wait and save my money but am so fed up just now.
Am going to put a load of stuff on ebay this week so that should off-set the expense!
Anyone started thinking about Christmas yet? DD1 keeps making lists of things she wants...............

CoteDAzur · 27/10/2008 10:25

frazzle - My DB and SIL were in Edinburgh over the weekend. They live in London but thought it would be a romantic break. They said it was rainy and cold and miserable. I could hear the wind howling in the background when we spoke on the phone.

I told them to come down here next time they want to do a weekend break away. We were on the beach in t-shirts, there wasn't a cloud in the sky and it was very warm

Gateau · 27/10/2008 11:19

Please remove my name from the list. I am currently miscarrying.

FiKelly · 27/10/2008 11:44

gateau so sorry to hear your news... sending big squeezy hugs to you and your dearest.

thats so sad...

is everyone else alright? been so tired all weekedn been sleeping.. and the sickness is worse because of tight clothes i've found, and Ic ant seem to fit into my old clothes. Constantly tired. I just hope everythings ok!

Febes · 27/10/2008 12:20

Ohhhhh scan today, nervous, excited!
I got a load of baby stuff down from the loft as my friend is due in december and is borrowing my moses basket, baby bath, baby gym and bouncer chair thingy. She will be finished with the stuff about the same time as my baby needs it so it works out perfectly.
I also went through all Anabels baby stuff and sorted itinto 'only girls' and 'could be both' and there is so much in the could be both bag so won't have to buy much if its a boy and won't have to buy anything if its a girl.
I also got my maternity stuff out so I hope I'm not tempting fate.
We rang our builder who was going to start the loft after christmas but he says he can start in 3 weeks so I can't wait as we have Anabel in our room until the new room is done and everytime I go to the loo in the night I wake her up and its not cool!!! On sat night she slept 12 hours and then had anther snooze in our bed for about an hour but last night she was awake from 3.30am when I went to the loo until about 5.30 and then went to sleep for an hour so I'm wreaked today.

Febes · 27/10/2008 12:21

So sorry Gateau

SweetBROODY · 27/10/2008 12:28

Did everyone have Nuchal Scans? I think I'm calssed as a high risk pregnancy so will prob have to have one.. but someone told me theres a higher risk of miscarriage with it so I really want to avoid it if I can... :S theres just so much to learn with this whole thing and its all new.. I'm so scared to buy anything as well ioncase I miscarry again ahh its all sadness and gloom today!

Febes I need to get my house done as well.. but Hubby is being difficult at the moment!

Jools1 · 27/10/2008 12:34

Hope the scan goes well Febes Sweetbroody AFAIK, there is NO risk associated with the nuchal scan - it is just another ultrasound. The risk comes if you go for more invasive tests based on the Nuchal result - Amnio or CVS both have miscarriage risks associated with them.

OP posts:
SesHasapinkline · 27/10/2008 12:37

Hi everyone!

I have this week off work so more time for MNing!!

Gateau - so sorry to hear your news. Take care, time and allow yourself to deal with this in whatever is the right way for you.

Febes - hope all goes well for you today. I've got my 12 week scan tomorrow!!

SweetBroody - don't think there's any risk of mv with a scan.

Hi to everyone else!

SesHasapinkline · 27/10/2008 12:38

Hi Jools!
Sorry x-posted. I think you're exactly right about the nuchal scan.

FiKelly · 27/10/2008 12:56

sweetbroody I had a nuchal last time and booked for one this time also. I agree with everyone there's no risk from the nuchal scan it's the tests CSV or amnio that you can choose to have afterwards depending on your scan results that have the MC risks.

frazzledoldbag34 · 27/10/2008 13:37

Cote - yes, you're right, the weather in Edinburgh on Saturday was truly appalling - raining sideways and high winds. I have to say we didn't care though as had such a fab day out with the kids, lunch then wonderful Mary Poppins show at the Playhouse. Feel sorry for your DB and SIL - not great weather for wandering around looking at the sights or shopping! Your beach sounds much more appealing!
My DH has just suggested taking me out for lunch at Gleneagles (quite near us) after my CVS on Thurs but I doubt I'll be feeling like that! Suspect a cup of tea and the afternoon on the sofa with my fingers crossed might be more like it. Am getting quite nervous now - I'll just be glad when it's done and the first 48 hours are over with.
Any tips from those who've had one before? It's 8 yrs since my amnio so can't really remember that much except feeling faint, exhausted and emotional. I think I might take some paracetamol before I go - not that it'll help much but it might take the edge off it. Apparently I get a local anasthetic into the skin (which I didn't with the amnio) but it doesn't numb all the way through. Yuck.

frazzledoldbag34 · 27/10/2008 13:39

Terribly sorry to hear your news Gateau. Best of luck in the future and take care of yourself. x

Jonesy68 · 27/10/2008 13:45

Hello All. Just read down to catch up...

So sorry Gateau - been there myself just a few months ago and know how awful it is so really feeling for you.

On the circumcision question - my DP isn't nor was my ex-DH and it was never a question with my DS. I wouldn't consider it for my DS or a future one as I think it's OK as it is although should he want to get it done when he's old enuff to make the decision as an informed adult, that's fine. Just my personal opinion. I realise it's tradition in some cultures. As far as I know it's not been done anywhere in my family.

I spent all day at a spa yesterday with DP (was a birthday present) and it was bliss! Unfortunately couldn't use sauna, steam room or hydra pools though which was a shame but lovely all the same. DP said my belly was really noticable in a swimming costume.

Sick feelings have all but subsided - always worrying.... Am nearly 11 weeks so perhaps that's OK. Energy levels a bit better too.... Can't wait for scan - hopefully nxt week...

Jonesy68 · 27/10/2008 13:52

Also...sweetbroody there's no risk with nuchal scan as it's the same as other scan but they just do analysis of the back of the neck and give you more data to calculate your risk of downs. Where I live it is now routine to have the nuchal scan on your 12 week one. When I had my DS 6 yrs ago it wasn't and I had to go private and pay for it separately.

Good luck today febes..!

SweetBROODY · 27/10/2008 14:31

Thanks guys.. I was just worried I guess.. not sure whast to expect as this is my first.. I'd quite like to get a boy Circumsized but then Hubby is and think its prob more hygienic. Again hadnt given it much thought will have to ask hubby about that one!

Momino · 27/10/2008 14:41

all best wishes gto gateau. I'm very sorry to hear your news and send big hugs.

Momino · 27/10/2008 14:48

hi all.
off the pregnancy subject for once...

reading a few posts back about ebay. have been doing abit of children's clothes shopping on it and ok so far. HOwever, i won a pair of Clark's boots for dd1 8 days ago and my paypal payment went through straight away. i've not seen the boots nor heard a word from the seller although I've emailed twice to ask for confirmation.

you experienced ebayers - how long should i wait before i report item not received? two weeks?

just annoyed as i was excited for dd1 to receive them as she needs a pair of boots and i can't buy another pair until I see what happens to these. ebay is really a risky way to buy sometimes.
