Not that it'll even BE November by the time we run out of space on this thread...

have u got a cat number for it?

LackaDAISYcal · 15/10/2008 21:27

cross posts with you vbab...wow what a bargain, the pram looks fantastic!

I had forgotten about pressies for the DCs from the baby.....no doubt DS will remind me in due course

sleep is a real issue here as well; I've had a couple of morning or afternoon naps this week and they have been bliss.

so much poorliness going around; but I've noticed us mummies don't get to take to our beds

ceebee74 · 15/10/2008 21:31

Lol at Misdee - the pram junkie

Vbab - I think having both middle names sounds absolutely fine and it flows really well - it is not like he is ever going to use his full name on a regular basis is it?

sparkletoes · 15/10/2008 21:31

My MIL brought a present for DS when she came last week and it was the exact same as the one I got him from the baby!!! GRRR! Had to wrap and send it up as as Xmas present for my nephew!

Vbab I could also swap you another M&P car seat & base if you wanted??!

LackaDAISYcal · 15/10/2008 21:32

My DS has two middle names vbab...I think it makes him sound distinguished. DD only has one though, and so probably will virgil. If both of yours are family names then go for it

misdee · 15/10/2008 21:33

lol ceebee. i need a changing bag, footmuff and raincover for my pramette. some of those look neutral colours and may work out cheaoper than buying it from m+p lol.

ceebee74 · 15/10/2008 21:38

Right am off to bed.

For those I am playing Scrabble with, I can't access it from work (perhaps a good job I feel) so won't be back on now until tomorrow night.

vbab78 · 15/10/2008 21:39

misdee - Not only one cat no I'm afraid and the lady at Argos had to discount items to make it all £99.99 because it did not go through the till.

You would need the Argos sale brochure headed "INFLATION BEATING CHRISTMAS PRICES" MUST END 4TH NOVEMBER. Page 10. When they see it in black and white they cant really refuse even if it is maybe a printing mistake.

I have added a pic of the sale advert on my profile if that helps at all.

sparkletoes · 15/10/2008 21:40

Night night Ceebs!

misdee · 15/10/2008 21:40

fab thanks. will try my luck tomorrow at harlow store. they can only say no, right!

is it really an isofix base? or just an easy base?

MonkeyMargot · 15/10/2008 21:41

Night Ceebs! Have a good day at work

sparkletoes · 15/10/2008 21:44

Didn't realise you got all that M&P stuff brand new for that price!!!! WOW!!! Bargain city!

What about the cabriofix then?

vbab78 · 15/10/2008 21:54

misdee - sorry just looked at box. The base is SureFix not Isofix. COULD NOT TELL YOU THE DIFFERENCE.

misdee · 15/10/2008 21:55

surefix is fine for my mums car. i have isofix maxicosi in mine for baby. but surefix is seatbelt fixing.

sparkletoes · 15/10/2008 21:57

Surefix uses seatbelt, Isofix needs isofix compatible car and attaches to a metal bit on the back of the seat.

sparkletoes · 15/10/2008 21:57

x post

vbab78 · 15/10/2008 22:06

sparkletoes - WOW! You have really put me on the spot. Not thought about the price yet. Probably I guess £40+Delivery, not sure what delivery to Scotland (on your profile)would be.

The maxi-cosi cabriofix infant carrier - black reflection is currently £97.97 on kiddicare (£110 on mothercare). www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplay0_10751_-1_15045_10001#description_tab

The seat is in excellent condition, not been involved in any car accidents (should you are glad to know) and is from smoke and pet free home. Sorry ebay hat fell on.

Probably putting it on ebay at the weekend (unless baby appears) so if interested could you let me know before then.

Oblomov · 15/10/2008 22:23

Ladies, I have a request.
I need books. For when I am in hospital for cs.
Have posted on Nov Book club ladies.
If anyone else has anything decent they wouldn't mind posting to me, I would VERY VERY much appreciate it.
I normally read a book in a day. War and Peace in 2 sittings. So need something decent and substantial.

misdee · 15/10/2008 22:26

what sort of stuff do you like?

i can send you all my picoults if you are into that? and spot the formula she uses for each book lol.

LackaDAISYcal · 15/10/2008 22:30

I'll see what I can do obs...we need to clear out stuff for the charity shop anyway.

What sort of stuff do you like or are you not fussed? We do have some heavy duty stuff if you're interested?

Oblomov · 15/10/2008 22:44

Thanks guys. Not really bothered. Nothing too heavy. Just normal, middle of the road. Something with a twist at the end. Something that you get to the end and think, god that was really clever, or really well written, or ....

LackaDAISYcal · 15/10/2008 22:45

have you read The Magus, by John Fowles? very twisty turny and clever.

sparkletoes · 15/10/2008 22:49

Sorry Vbab, didn't mean to put u on spot but am getting a surefix base for maxi cosi from friend so need cabriofix seat as mine is just a cabrio so not compatible. LOL at your ebay hat! Just what a prospective buyer wants to hear tho!

I can get the seat in pink from kiddicare for £59.99 (free deliv) which is great as brand new & I am advised I can swap covers over.

So I would really need to know total (includ delivery) cost before I could confirm acceptance. Is there anyway you could find that out?

sparkletoes · 15/10/2008 22:53

Are Picoults good then Misdee, would you recommend? I have a few friends who love her but I wasn't quite sure when I read back of some of them...

I am not like Obs at all, I take ages to read books as only get chance at bedtime!!

Oblomov · 15/10/2008 22:53

No Daisy. Sounds perfect. Could you send me that. Happy to paypal any postage costs.
