Not that it'll even BE November by the time we run out of space on this thread...

misdee, you have saved me an email ...but just outed yourself to your stork

I need big pants as well as I'm another shorts wearer. Although last weekend when I hadn't done enough washing and had run out of pants, I borrowed a pair of DHs brief types that he wears...sooooooo comfy and oodles of crotch space for maternity pads. Might buy some of those instead and then he can have them when I'm done instead of throwing aforementioned big pants away!

or I will pilfer any sad specimens that are a bit past it from his underwear drawer!!

misdee · 17/10/2008 19:24

i'm sure my stork will understand lol. its been manic here as have been unpacking and trying to get organised. i hope she will like it, i spent a while choosing it, as didnt really know what to get. it wil lbe sent over the weekend if possible, but again loads to do and a birthday oparty to take dd2 to in the next town as well. so sorry secret stork!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 19:31

coolkat, sounds like the bug that DS has
He has had temp/headache/fever as well.

I have been a bit loose as well, which I'm putting down to this bug.

DH is out on his nightly maltesers run

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 19:34

are you all settled in now misdee?

misdee · 17/10/2008 19:38

not really, loads still left to do. my parents are now back from their hols so should get more done next week.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 19:41

We moved in here at the beginning of December three years ago and still have unpacked boxes in the loft and lots of decorating to do

DH says he's going to get on with it when he is off work when the baby is born. We may have the sitting room done before Christmas and will no longer be living in an old folks' home . although I'll miss my lovely Rococo patterned carpet

misdee · 17/10/2008 19:44

i think we will as well. i havent checked out the new loft yet, so nothing is up there atm, but gtet a feeling it will be.

at least peter removed the hideous black wall paper from the living room. its a lot lighter in here now.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 19:49

black wallpaper

our loft was full of crap from the previous owners . we still haven't cleared it all out, and have yet to find that £25K antique that they accidentally left behind!

vbab78 · 17/10/2008 20:30

obs - hope you and baby are ok. HUGS.

ruth - glad things are ok with you and baby and that you can have your "normal" birth.

Dozymare · 17/10/2008 20:32

OMG - Haven't read the thread since 0500 this morning, but just have to say, before I catch up, have any of you tried the new revived WISPA bar???????????? Oh my.......woweeeeeeeeee

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 20:34

my nipples are horribly sore and tingly; like hot needles in them. anyone else getting this or am I just some kind of fraek?

Can't get comfy at all this evening either and feeling decidedly fed up

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 20:34

they're nice aren't they dozy? Not a patch on maltesers though

ceebee74 · 17/10/2008 20:35

Obs glad you are feeling more reassured and that the baby is moving

ladybuzz wow a great auntie - it will be so cool for your niece to have you to talk to about baby things and that your babies can grow up together (does anyone know what relation the babies will be btw??)

misdee good news that you are settling in ok - I admire you so much having the energy to do move house!!

Just sat here watching Market Kitchen on UKTV food - they just showed a bread and butter pudding made with fruit loaf - it looked totally yummy! (Am to say that the only reason DH is watching it is because he has a thing for Amanda Lamb anyway and is positively drooling over the telly now that she is pg - he has a 'thing' for pg women )

MonkeyMargot · 17/10/2008 20:36

My nips feel pretty normal. I've even tried squeezing em to see if I get any "leakage", but nowt came out.

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 20:41

obs.....how did i miss your post earlier

I hope you're feeling a bit more reassured about things and that you are filling up your bit of paper with lots of kicks. Does the fact that you have lots of amniotic fluid mean that movements are more cushioned? Virgil's movements are more wriggles and squirms now, and I can usually get him moving by poking him in the bum! No doubt rewenge will be his!!

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 20:42

and lots of leakage here, but I think that having done this baby thing before makes a difference. Didn't have any of that when pregnant with DS.

Dozymare · 17/10/2008 20:45

caught up now - obs Hope you are ok...are you a worrier? If it was me, I would be up that hospital as I am a huge worrier (as I am sure you have all gathered!) Huge hugs to you and bump..................

Rutho how DO you manage to keep up and reply to everyone, I am absolutely brain frazzled and quite simply cannot retain anyhting without having to scroll and re-read........AAARGGGHHHHH!!!!

I have just finished my Wispa and now want another one!!

vbab78 · 17/10/2008 20:45

Well I managed to get my hospital bag finally packed last night .

But at bedtime I started to have a very bad stomach and slight pains and I felt so ill. So I thought as you do I will go to the loo and see if that sorts things out . Nothing happened but I wasn't sure if there was a little bit of blood in the loo, sorry if TMI, and I thought is it my "show" so labour? But part of me thought don't be silly and just try to sleep. I did eventually sleep and well with the occasional visit in the night to try and move things along to no avail. Felt just as bad this morning.

I did eventually "visit" and have felt better since. I think I must have caught DS stomach and diarrhoea bug. I have just had a nice soak in the bath, as DS went to bed just after 7pm, and now feel revitalized. DH is now fetching me a chinese which I will finish in record timing .

living room - moving along nicely as the fire has now been delivered and me and DH between us have painted our new skirting which will all be put on tomorrow. Got carpet coming Monday AM so hopefully by end of Tuesday I will have been able to sort out the house and we may be nearly back to normal. Good job as I will be 38wks.

todays drama - DH has felt a little better so he has cleaned the inside of our car which was in desperate need. Unfortunately it took ages with all the doors of the car open because of DS getting in the way and playing with the inside of the car. Well I went to drive the car away to see my mum and IT WOULDNT START. Turned out we had a flat battery thanks to DS leaving the lights on and DH not turning them off. Really didnt need the stress. But at least sorted now because I have home start rescue.

Dozymare · 17/10/2008 20:46

BTW - I have NO leakage whatsoever.....was quite literally daisy the cow with both DC's so not worried........hopefully will be same with this LO!

vbab78 · 17/10/2008 20:52

forgot to say with my car dilemma was a good job I wasn't in labour!

Also my "bits" are really hurting so I wonder if baby is now more than 3/5 engaged?

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 20:54

vbab. it could well have been a bit of a show and the cramping things starting to loosen up.

or it might be the tummy bug

or piles?

pregnacy is so fucking glamourous isn't it?

Dozymare · 17/10/2008 20:56

yes my nonnie is aching as well!!!!! Not sure what is going on, but do feel rather peculiar and don't remember feeling this way with either DC's....cripes, hope I am not going to go into labour spontaneously.....

misdee · 17/10/2008 21:04

my nipples dont ache. but they are huge and dark! dh ommented on them the other night, as never happened with previous pregnancies. he says i have a lovely bump this time and actually look pregnant.

phraedd · 17/10/2008 21:04

misdee ..... could you email me please regarding being your birth doula?

[email protected]

Thank you very much

LackaDAISYcal · 17/10/2008 21:09

gosh Dozy......everyone keeps bleating at me about "tricksy third labours" so I suppose anything is possible. How many weeks are you now? 36?
