Brand new BFP's - anyone due a June 2009 baby?

summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

Hi everyone. The metallic taste has arrived. My mouth has been so dry today.
Just wanted to let you know that I am 37 and I have DS who is 4.11 and DS 3.7.

helpivegottogivebirth · 09/10/2008 17:23

I have to 'fess up as i feel a bit of a fraud - not actually definitely sure I'm June (could realistically be May) and seriously can't remember when my last period was. it comes and goes and sometimes has about 6 weeks inbetween. I definitely know it was pre September 4th as we had a conference and i remember thinking 'phew - at least i won't get me period whilst i'm here'. But I'd prefer to stay in June if possible, I like it here! (Plus May sounds scarily closer)

Hiya, I am also thinking,. I wonder if i am really pregnant at all as no symptoms really!
This is my 3rd, with my first I had no symptoms at all apart from heartburn!
With my second I had constant nausea, but that didn;t start till about 9 weeks, so there is time yet!
My first one was born with a Telapes (club) foot, didnt know anything about it till he was born, all is fine now but he had to have 3 operations and it has left him with odd sized feet.
So because of this I worried alot about the second one but all was fine and now worrying about the 3rd( and last)one, especially after having the x-ray, although people are telling me that it is nothing to worry about, but being 35 aswell .....I worry too much, sorry to ramble, i'm always like that...!
Hate to sound thick but as i'm new here will someone Pleeeease explain all these abreviations that you are using?!!LOL!

summerbird · 09/10/2008 21:14

Hi Sparkle and welcome! If you go to the top of the page there is an acronym list, i refer to it regularly as there are some bizarre ones!!

well done on the list vickyjane! we are getting quite a crowd together, i thought i was being a bit early when i set up the thread but am thrilled i did it now, i am getting lots of useful tips from the expert mums!!

regarding symptoms, my mum told me tonight that i shouldnt be wishing bad symptoms on myself as i will be cursing if they do come, she said I might be lucky and not have any at all.

Thanks for letting me know! As usual i didnt read everything properly! Thats a relief, i was beginning to think there was a whole new language going on that I knew nothing about,

Thanks summerbird!

MrsMcJnr · 09/10/2008 23:09

Hey ladies I am quite alarmed how much my tummy sticks out at night I don?t remember that happening until I was about 16 weeks last time, maybe I should go a little easier on the cheese

Congrats Sparkle73 sorry to hear you are worried about the xray but your drs explanation for why it is ok sounded positive so try not to worry, easier said than done I know.

Congrats Mel so glad that you have some happiness after all your pain I?m so sorry for your losses. We lost our first to a MC at 13 weeks and it still hurts x

Poor you onehitwonder I?ve had the sinuses thing going on too.

Notsorampant ? I started worrying tonight about being separated from DS at the birth of baby 2, how sad am I

Well done Flynn ? congrats!

Leaky ? lol I looked back at pg diary too and I felt pretty much the same as this at this stage last time too another boy??

Hey Summerbird littlesarah and Vickyjane

Myneaux ? I find I only feel nauseous at night when I?m tired.

Daisy5 ? naughty! Naughty!

Neenztwinz ? wow! that?s fab! Congrats! I take my hat off to you, I only had one baby and he was 6 months old before I got back onto MN

LOL Help half of us will end up having our babies in either May or July anyway so stay with us!

onehitwonder · 10/10/2008 07:47

Summerbird your mother is right - there was me worrying about lack of symptoms and just spent all afternoon and evening throwing up, with an evil headache. I was determined not to be a wuss this time round and struggle into work no matter what - hah - so much for that. Came home yesterday lunchtime and I am staying home today. I am really hoping it is an initial surge of bad morning sickness due to the hormones etc kicking in and that it will calm down once my body gets used to it .

Back to bed now

bigcar · 10/10/2008 08:25

Morning all!

Aha, onehitwonder, at least I don't feel on my own now I haven't been sick yet, but have been feeling really sick this week and it's lasting all day at the moment. Hope today is a bit better for you.

My waist line is definitely expanding, I think this being dc5 means my stomach muscles have long since emigrated somewhere they feel valued! When I had dd1 I didn't really show until about 5/6 months, don't think that's going to happen this time.

As for weight, when I went to the docs the other day she weighed me, all I could think to say was, blimey, I've put on 3 stone already Thankfully she has a sense of humour!

Dd3 is still up regularly in the night, hoping that changes before this lo arrives.

summerbird · 10/10/2008 09:05

poor you onehitwonder hope you feel better soon!

Jools1 · 10/10/2008 09:18

Morning all

Had a busy day in Birmingham yesterday, so wasn't online much - client presentation went well and the nausea packed up and left yesterday, so I wasn't worried about throwing up on anyone's shoes ! (of course I am now worrying about lack of nausea instead ! I even had the energy to join DP and his mate as they went out for a civilised early evening curry - was desperate to go home to bed by 9.30 though !

Welcome to all our new BFP's

MrsMcJnr - my belly is expanding at a rate of knots but this is my first !! Re the commuting - I've done 2 days in my local office this week (20 mins walk), 1 day in Birmingham (but left early) and 2 in London, so not a bad mix. I think I'll be doing more and more in my local office before long - only 20 mins walk - bliss

Thankyou to whoever kindly took 7 years off my age ! Have updated the list so I can enjoy being 38 for another 5 weeks !

Sorry Jools1 that was me, I've also changed my due date by mistake, but I'll update it when I've had my 12 weeks scan...see the positive thinking there, I will get there.

Bumpsadaisie · 10/10/2008 12:01

Hello everyone

Is anyone else feeling absolutely dreadful?! I'm 7+3 now and have been off work all this week with terrible MS. I just can't keep anything down and am throwing up a lot (sorry!)

I know I've got to keep trying to eat something but have no appetite and can't work up the energy to do much more than move from sofa to bathroom and back.

Does anyone have similar experiences they could share? Do you think it'll get less bad next week? God, I hope so.

Thanks for listening to my moans.

Bumps x

llynnnn · 10/10/2008 12:18

hi all

bumps - really sorry to hear you are feeling sooooo terrible. i dont have any tips etc just sending good wishes that it will pass REALLY soon.
I have been feeling sick on and off all day for the last few days! not actually been sick though so have to be grateful for that!

my stomach also seems to be massive this time round. when i had dd i didnt start showing until about 16weeks i think, i think by 12 weeks i'm going to be huge this time!!

thanks for the list, its nice to see us all together! []

hope everyone else is well today, i am going to get a baked potato with cheese and beans!! really fancied it ALL morning!!!

flynn1984 · 10/10/2008 12:32

Hiya All!

Got my first meeting with my Midwife at 1pm today so excited about it!
I think I'm around 5 - 6 week although my gran saw a 'medium' who said I'm 7 weeks pg.

Symptoms have started, slight twinges in stomach, feeling sick (not been sick yet), sore boobs and extreme tiredness which I have been told are all normal!

Hoping everyone is well, and those suffering bad symptoms hope they ease off soon!

Laura x

LittleSarah · 10/10/2008 12:40

At work, on lunch break though, am I not good?

Very tired, think with uni, work, dd, moving house and pregnancy that'll be my 'buzz word' for the next couple of months.

Symptoms still the same, going to measure my tummy tonight and in the next few weeks (even if it is depressing) to see if I am getting bigger or if I'm imagining it!

Poor you Bumpsadaisie, that sounds dreadful. Fingers crossed it'll settle down soon.

daisy5 · 10/10/2008 13:04

Yeh bumpsadaisie that sounds really rough.

Yesterday my hormones jumped into action and now I am exhausted, on verge of tears and have a headache. Ah, the joy of pregnancy.

For me food seems to taste much better at the moment. It's like my taste buds are sharper - everything tastes so delicious.

I like the idea of measuring my tummy littlsarah. Mine is scary. I think I will measure it weekly and see how fast it grows.

choccie your first two children and just six months apart aren't they? You must have had a really busy year!!!

leaky · 10/10/2008 13:39

Oh it's so nice to read everyone's updates

I'm feeling really yuck today which could be the pregnancy or the fact that I got a text from a friend this morning saying her DH has brain cancer. They have a 2yr old child & he has been given about 12mths

On a more positive note, I haven't noticed my tummy growing & probably won't for ages.Although I lost some weight earlier this year I feel like I've put it all back on again & to me if I breathe out I look 5 mths pregnant anyway

Sorry to be miserable, just feeling down today.Happy pregnancy to everyone else thou.

leaky · 10/10/2008 13:45

Oh by the way, the doctor rang with results of my urine sample 20 mins ago & I am pregnant for sure!!!

summerbird · 10/10/2008 14:09

leaky i am so sorry to hear your news, you must be devastated.

bumps sorry to hear you are feeling rough, hopefully it wont last much longer.

i am tired today and have sore boobs but the nausea isnt here, it seems to go one day on and one day off, which i can cope with, for now!

i am exactly 6 weeks pg today! woo hoo!!

OP posts:
Jools1 · 10/10/2008 14:33

I am exactly a week in front of you Summerbird - 7 weeks today !!

I was just thinking last night that three weeks ago, I'd only just got my BFP !!!! These three weeks seem to have gone on forever - and there is another 5 till my first scan - feels years and years away !

LittleSarah · 10/10/2008 15:46

Lol Jools1. My first scan is in a week and a half and it feels like an age! This is what paranoia does to you.

MrsMcJnr · 10/10/2008 16:07

Ughh a sicky day here too ? feel car sick!

Onehitwonder & Bumps ? poor you hope you both feel much better soon and that it?s just a surge of hormones

Bigcar ? that must be hard with DD3 still being up in the night

Jools1 ? glad the sickness stayed away for the presentation! I know what you mean about time, I got my BFP 2 weeks ago today and it seems like ages ago. My next scan is 2 weeks yesterday ?. I?m so hoping that it goes well especially as DH?s parents are coming over from Scotland for DS?s Christening and we?d love to tell them news of another grandchild face to face even if it is early

Hello lyynnn (always forget how many y?s and n?s [blush}

Flynn ? hope the MW appointment went well

Littlesarah ? sounds life you have a tiring enough life at the mo without being pg too!

Leaky ? so sorry to hear your bad news do you feel properly pg now the Dr has confirmed it??

Anyone heard anything about not having soya protein when pregnant??
