Brand new BFP's - anyone due a June 2009 baby?

summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

SB x

Hi Everyone, Sorry to tell all you PG women this, but I have ahd an early miscarriage so wont be on mumsnet.
Maybe it was the X-ray i had? I'll never know really, trying to think that something obviously wasnt right so must be for the best but its hard.
No one really seems intersted when you miscarry at 4 and half weeks so kinda been left to it.
Anyway wont go into too many details as its the last thing that you ladies want to hear about.
Good luck to you all and hopefully i'll be back in a few months.
love from Sparkle73 xx

VickyJane77 · 11/10/2008 10:14

Oh sparkle I am so sorry.

I rang the doctors yesterday becuse I've been having some light brown discharge the last couple of days, and because of my mc in June I am very anxious. He told me it's a 'warning' and to take it easy over the next couple of days. I'm just praying this little bean sticks.

helpivegottogivebirth · 11/10/2008 10:27

sorry to hear your bad news sparkle. And VickyJane - i'm with you on that one. Fingers crossed it sticks, but I too started seeing beige/tea colour discharge (god a horrible word!) yesterday.

VickyJane77 · 11/10/2008 10:32

How many weeks are you helpivegottogivebirth, i'm about 6 weeks.x

helpivegottogivebirth · 11/10/2008 10:38

about 5-6 wks.
had the beige streaks yesterday during the day. but nothing today so far.
I know this sounds naive, but if you have an MC do the pregnancy symptoms like sore boobs and morning sickness carry on for a few days afterwards.... when do the symptoms stop?

VickyJane77 · 11/10/2008 10:58

The sickness and tenderness stopped straight away but the my boobs took a little while to return to their normal size last time.

Jools1 · 11/10/2008 11:35

Really sorry to hear that Sparkle Hope to see you back very soon

VickyJane - I don't really have the experience to comment much, but my GP basically told me that if I were to miscarry, there would be nothing at all that I could do about it and it was just one of those things that would happen whether I rested or exercised / did long days at work. I think brown blood is good blood - could be old, from the implantation or from egg burrowing deeper hopefully ...

I'm sharing the worries though - I had very very slight brown discharge on Wed with a bad nausea and tiredness day. On thurs morning, I had what I thought were stretching cramps, but they were verging on uncomfortable. My nausea has gone completely and I've lasted till after 11pm for the past two nights

LittleSarah · 11/10/2008 11:43

Very sorry for you sparkle. Hopefully things will work out next time!

bigcar · 11/10/2008 11:46

Oh sparkle, I'm so sorry to hear your news, hugs.

vickyjane, hope you're having a better day today, have everything crossed for you.

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend and managing to relax a little!

summerbird · 11/10/2008 13:06

sparkle i am so sorry to hear that, i am sending you big summerbird virtual hugs......

vickyjane and helpivegottogivebirth take care of yourselves and rest lots, i am praying your beans stick

lots of love x

Pregnancy brain has just got the better of me big time

I need a new zip in my Winter coat, so drove down to the local shops with said coat, only to realise in the dry cleaners that my handbag felt lighter than normal - took a quick peek - no purse. Rooted around, confirmed it wasn't there, so cursed, cried, got back in car and drove home. Nearly had three accidents in that 5 minute journey Got home, expecting purse to be on table - nothing there.

Cue tears, phone call to DP and much searching, then I find the blardy thing IN a pocket of my very small handbag .

I've now decided that I can't possibly drive back there - preg brain + driving is a dangerous mix ! - so am going to have to ask MIL to drop coat in during the week, or cope with a coat that doesn't do up. So, its on with the rucksack and a walk up the hill to Tescos to find something for dinner ...

chocciedooby · 11/10/2008 16:01

So sorry to hear your bad news Sparkle
Big ((((((( Hugs )))))))
Hope everyone else is taking it easy this weekend.
I am more anxious this time around (3rd) than the other 2. I think its because of my age and because I just simply know too much iykwim.

chocciedooby · 11/10/2008 16:02

Daisy 5 my 2 dcs are 16 months apart but yes it was hard work, especially the first 2 years.
It will be interesting learning how to juggle all 3

leaky · 12/10/2008 08:37

Thinking of you sparkle & wishing you the best for the nxt few mths.

helpivegottogivebirth, vickyjane & Jools1 hoping all's still ok with you all.Try to take it as easy as is possible.Hopefully it is just implantation bleeding.Better that it's not bright red blood so try to keep positive.

lilacpink · 12/10/2008 13:02

Hiya, thanks VickyJane77 for adding me to list. I won't see midwife until 29th, and even then, given no periods since May, will need a scan to confirm re. dates. I've still had odd bleeds, tiny and usually first thing in morning, but also no pains and symptoms getting worse by the day (or should I say better as it is reassuring me given the bleeds!). Feel like I felt at around 5-6 weeks with DD. Almost threw up this morning after coughing, have waves of feeling dizzy/sick/heartburn, boobs hurt 80% of time, and taste metal. With DD I went on antisickness at 8 weeks to 30 weeks, and that helped control it. My Mum, Aunt, cousins etc. have all had bad symptoms throughout pregnancy, so I think maybe symptoms or lack of them isn't necessarily good or bad, maybe genetic! (I can't take pill as contantly sick and migraine so sensitive to homone fluctuations). I know lots of Mums who had no symptoms through pregnancy, and at end of first pregnancy I wished I had been same (but is giving me hope all will be well this time).

Nemoandthefishes · 12/10/2008 13:59

I have rested quite well this weekend and the discharge has stopped , so am feeling a lot more positive again.
Hope you're OK helpivegottogivebirth x.
DH bought home a lovely bottle of wine today, so I'll have the pleasure of watching him drink it, well he has been busy, bless him, his parents are up for a visit next week, so he's been cleaning while I've been resting....don't know how to hide the pg from them though.
