Brand new BFP's - anyone due a June 2009 baby?

summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

Good luck Tee

Does everyone get an early scan? I don't get a scan until 12 weeks, and don't see the midwife for ages, it would be really nice to have some reassurance a bit earlier on. I've got lots of symptoms (sore boobs, exhausted, constantly nauseous) but it would be nice to know that everything's ok.

Tee2072 · 06/11/2008 19:16

teenytinytorya I had an early scan and early antenatal appointment because I have diabetes. I would actually have rather waited, since they aren't certain they saw a heartbeat and now I have to wait and worry for a week!

TeenyTinyTorya · 06/11/2008 23:26

I suppose so tee, when it's so early on it's hard to tell. I hope it all goes well for you.

Tee2072 · 07/11/2008 07:22

Morning all.

Well, my results weren't in last night when I called, so I'll call at 8 when they open this morning.

I'm actually getting pretty worried as my breasts don't hurt nearly as bad as they did, and that was my big PG symptom. Then again, no cramping and no spotting so I just don't know!

Hope everyone has a lovely day! I have the day off work so I am going shopping and then packing for a weekend at the in-laws!

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 07/11/2008 07:41

Hope all goes well Tee. It's quite normal for your symptoms to come and go, so I wouldn't be overly concerned in that respect.

Hope everyone else is well and happy. I'm still not sleeping and have a cracking headache, sore boobs and lots of nasty cramps. Bloody hell, I'll be so glad when I get my scan date. 10 weeks pregnant today, so at least I'm in double figures. Wish the cramps would stop (still paranoid it's ectopic - which I know is ridiculous as at 10 weeks I'd be in agony if it was ectopic). I see the midwife on Tues, so I hope it'll make it seem a bit more real after that.

Off shopping with my mum and sister today (my mum does my head in so it'll be a bit stressful). Then off for a wine tasting evening wonder how much I'll enjoy that watching everyone quaffing wine while I'm on fruit juice........

Much love x

Nemoandthefireworks · 07/11/2008 07:51

Tee the sore boobs does wear off a bit I know mine have. AS you say no spotting or cramps is also a plus. Hope your results are ready

No early scan here despite 3 mcs as I had 2 then ds then a mmc then the dds so just have to wait and see. MMC is my biggest fears as that was horrible but my scan is in 2 and a half weeks so not long now.

Tee2072 · 07/11/2008 08:23

So got the results just a few minutes ago.

HCG went from 20something on Tuesday to 38something on Thursday, so not quite doubled. Midwife said she couldn't reassure me, but that no cramps and no bleeding were an excellent sign and to keep my scan appointment for next Tuesday.

So fingers still crossed.

Now if I could just get my endo on the phone about my BG levels (much higher than usual, also a good sign for the PG being okay, although not healthy for me or baby!) things would be better!

We're going to the In-laws for the weekend, so won't be around much. Have a good one all!

LittleSarah · 07/11/2008 09:00

Good news about the results tee, have my fingers crossed for you.

Well I'm still sick and knackered. I cannot wait for this feeling to lift (hopefully in a couple of weeks or so), I'm getting really tired of it! I just want to be well again now.

TeenyTinyTorya - It is nice to have an early scan - I got one because I had a missed miscarriage in July - but if it makes you feel any better it's only reassuring for a few days at the most! The best and most reassuring scan is the 12 week one as it's at the end of the first trimester 'danger zone' anyway. Mine is at 14 weeks which is apparently better than 12 for me as my uterus is tilting backwards at the moment. Very strange.

V glad it's nearly the weekend. Bring on 4pm and end of work!

ermintrude13 · 07/11/2008 10:04

Morning Tee, glad your results look promising and hope the weekend with in-laws isn't too stressful (I know some people love their in-laws but I don't know many!).

Ineedmorechocolatenow - if you fancy having the odd mouthful of wine tonight it won't do you any harm. When I'm not pg I love a drink but now I'm pg am really off it - but some nights I've had a couple of sips of dh's glass of red and found it quite good for the nausea - only briefly of course, but any respite is appreciated.

And it all comes up again later for me anyway - I'm still nauseous all day and this week have begun puking as well - 2 or 3 times mostly dry-heaving in the day and a full-on stomach empty every night around 9.30. sorry if tmi. I'm not counting on magically improving at 12 or 16 wks but it would be so nice to feel something other than tired, sick and a bit miserable esp cos I look a wreck and haven't told anyone why yet....

LittleSarah · 07/11/2008 15:57

I really can't take wine now either. I expect I'll be alright for the odd glass once I'm out of the first trimester but I just cannot take it now!

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 07/11/2008 16:46

I might have a few sips, but I'm also driving so double the reason for the fruit juice.

Poor old you ermintrude. I threw up all day, everyday from week 7 to week 14 during my last pregnancy. It's so miserable. I used to get so PISSED OFF with people who said 'Oh I had morning sickness.... I wasn't actually sick tho.....' AAAAGH!! However, I've only puked a couple of times this pregnancy so it's true that every pregnancy is different.

Anyway, shopping wasn't a complete disaster with my mum, she even took me into H&M and bought me some maternity wear! Hooray!!

Tee2072 · 08/11/2008 09:34

Morning all.

I'm at my in-laws, who I enjoy, so no stress over that!

Actully slept really really well last night! Got up at 3:30 to wee, but fell pretty much right back to sleep.

Finally got my endo on the phone and I'm starting on insulin on Monday. Not looking forward to that, but glad if it will make me feel better and help the baby.

Off for shopping and pub lunch in a bit, talk to you all later!

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 08/11/2008 18:01

Bonjour! What crappy weather today. DS has gone a bit stir crazy shut in doors all day and it's meant I ate all day... oops.

Anyone in maternity trousers yet? My jeans are feeling really tight and I'm at that stage where I look a bit fatter (I've put on 5 pounds!) but obviously no bump yet..... nice....

ermintrude13 · 08/11/2008 20:14

Evenin' all. ineedmorechoc, I'm feeling very bloated despite the fact I keep throwing up. Not quite sure what's going on there but it's definitely Not Fair.

Tee, it's nice you get on with your in-laws. I don't get on badly with mine but we have so little in common that it's hard sometimes. The first Boxing Day dh (then boyfriend) and I stayed with them it got to 9pm before he took notice of my I Need A Drink gestures and said - Ooh, shall I get some drinks?

  • What a good idea! said his mother, - tea or coffee?
Aaaaaaaaarrrrgh.

Hope the insulin injections do whatever they're supposed to do!

MrsMcJnr · 08/11/2008 22:05

Hey ladies tried to post this last night but it was being too slow so I am probably even more out of date now!

Nemo ? I hate the insomnia, when it happens to me (usually about 4.30am!) I try to do my hypnobirthing I learnt when pg with Ds, it often helps to clear my mind and send me back to sleep. Happy belated birthday!

Tee ? poor you, it is horrible when a scan goes that way. Twice now my first scan has been a couple of weeks too small for dates and then the bean?s caught up by the 2nd, sending hopes it?s the same with your bean.

Chloeandalfie ? what a sad story about your friends I totally agree with you on the forewarned is forearmed position but I guess the hardest think is that at the end of the day you won?t know until the baby arrives the extent of the problem so it must be incredibly hard to really be prepared. Fingers crossed none of us have to tackle that. DH and I lost our first baby 13 weeks into the pregnancy and I just know that for us we could never terminate on any grounds. Such a hard and emotive subject.

Welcome Snowwombat and congratulations! I am so sorry to hear about your son I have thrombophhilia too and am injecting clexane. My DS (9 months) was a successful clexane pregnancy and this time round I feel so much more positive than last. Happy to be your clexane buddy all the best this time round. I?m in Spain by the way.

Travellinglight ? poor you, sounds like you have a lot on your plate! I?m the same with you about the wine, can?t even sniff the stuff which is just as well!

Joyfuleyes ? I?m so sorry to hear about your losses I?m on progesterone and aspirin as well as clexane too. I think I am supposed to give up the progesterone this week actually, better check All the very best to your bean.

Llynnnn - glad to hear that the bleeding has stopped and that you are feeling more ?pregnant?!

Hello Wilsonmummy, Bobswendy and thelittlemermaid

Summerbird ? I?m off meat too!

Hello and welcome Doris and congrats of course! You are due on my wedding anniversary!

Flynn ? hope you are feeling better. Great scan hon

Mica ? that sounds scary being locked in the cemetery!

Jools1 ? tears here too!

Chocciedog ? ah glad the party for DS went well

Welcome Mamaolivia and Salet and Ermintrude and GabiS ? congrats!!

Littlesarah ? glad the move went well, and the scan!

Daisy5 ? sorry to hear about your hard week all you say about the testing is so true.

We need a new thread ladies?

chocciedooby · 09/11/2008 09:00

Hi MrsMcJnr - blimey youy are great posting to everyone.Impressive.

I had an night out last night with DH, brother and his girlfriend. Haven't been out in ages as too sicky and tired but managed to last until 11pm and really enjoyed myself Wasn't bothered one bit by drinking seven up and water all night. Can't stand the smell of alcohol at the moment. Not like me at all
Also had a really long day out walking in the mountains and lakes. It rained the whole time and I had the kids with me. We all loved it!

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 09/11/2008 10:16

Had a rather interesting dream about Matthew Cutler from Strictly last night......

Long may the psychedelic, vivid, interesting dreams continue, I say!!

Tee2072 · 09/11/2008 10:26

Morning all.

Heading home today, thank god. I do like my in-laws, but sometimes the two of them (who both, BTW, have PhDs) don't have the common sense god gave a toad.

My FIL knows I am diabetic and I'm having issues with it. So what does he do? Keeps offering me chocolate.

Then, latish last night, I've said I'm going to bed. I'm in bed. I'm asleep and my MIL comes bounding into our room to show me some shoes! I'm like GET OUT I'M SLEEPING!

Cannot wait to get back home!

Ineedmorechocolatenow · 09/11/2008 12:39

Poor old you Tee, I bet you can't wait to back in your own house....

BobsWendy · 09/11/2008 12:44

poor tee, hope you home by now.

DH gave me a lie on today, it was so badly needed. Took the two ds's swimming, then out for a panini, am wrecked now, and outta ideas to keep them amused for a wet afternoon.

Am bridesmaid for my friend at Christmas, tried dress on this morning and I look like a whale in it

Hi to everyone!

Tee2072 · 09/11/2008 15:35

I am indeed home by now, thanks Bobswendy! My in-laws are okay...in small doses.

We really do need a new thread soon...thoughts on titles?

ermintrude13 · 09/11/2008 19:04

How about Flaming June?

I've just chucked up my entire delicious Pizza Express Pollo Salad and half a Toffee Sundae. Would really be very happy to sleep out the next couple of months and wake up with a bump and no nausea. Hey, and I'd miss Christmas!

mamaolivia · 09/11/2008 21:08

hi all. hope you are all good. am going to bed now [lame emoticon].
thread title: fattening up for xmas?

Tee2072 · 10/11/2008 07:52

I kinda like that one mamaolivia!

It could be:

Fattening up for Christmas, Due June 2009!!

flynn1984 · 10/11/2008 09:11

Morning all!

Hope everyone had a great weekend (shame it's monday again!)
Tee you must be glad to be home. I get on well with my in laws but after about 1hour with them we run out of things to say

Well MS has eased over the weekend, it must be a work related thing for me as I'm fine during weekends and as soon as I get up for work it comes back ten times worse! Also still struggling to get rid of the flu...so wish I took today off to stay in bed
