summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

Hi to all - sorry, been away from this thread a while. Dd poorly, then dp, now me. Only colds/stomach bugs but on top of pregnancy tiredness, work and looking after 17 month old dd, it's all been a bit much.

Apart from tiredness I don't seem to have many symptoms - so, of course now worrying what that might mean. I had sip of red wine last week and it tasted horrid which was my first symptom so I am holding on to that as symptom.

I had nuchal and blood tests last time - I was 38 then and 40 now so a bigger risk. Don't know what I'd have done if there had been a problem. Also, they don't tell you anything definite - just, 1 in xx chance so you still have to make decisions about more invasive tests. A difficult one.

joyfuleyes · 01/11/2008 14:52

snowwombat, congratulations! I'm sorry you lost your son we also lost a baby in the summer (at 18 weeks). I'm on clexane too (and progesterone, aspirin & steroids) I don't have a clotting problem they can diagnose but it was my second 2nd trimester loss so they are keen to try everything.

wilsonmummy · 01/11/2008 15:09

Hey all!!

Welcome snowwombat... sorry for your loss, but will keeps fingers and toes crossed for little bean! My friend has just emigrated to austrilia (perth) hes a joiner and his partner will be joining him as soon as they've sold their house!! i don't want them to go, its soo far away!!

Still no major symptoms, just the eating everything in sight one!!

Hope everyone has a lovely weekend! x

llynnnn · 01/11/2008 19:26

hi

snowwombat - congratulations, heres to a healthy 9 months for you and your little bump. so soory to hear about your loss

well, ive had NO spotting at all today and have felt really sick and tired all day instead! so i feel much more positive. so sorry to you all for being such an old worry wart these last few days but thank you all for listening and your support, it means a lot!

we wont be having the downs tests, both me and dh are only 27 with no history in either family and i also could never see myself going through with the amnio or termination, it is a very tough decision tho and i feel for you all who are in more riskier positions. its the first in a whole lifetime of parenting decisions we have to make lol!!

well, i've got my pj's on and a cup of hot chocolate and am going to slob in front of xfactor for the evening!
hope everyone else is well

wilsonmummy · 01/11/2008 20:11

Hey!

Llynnnn, glad your feeling better today, i think your entitled to worry whilst pregnant, i think most women worry the majority of the time, wondering if everythink ok, or why hasn't baby moved yet, etc... i know i did, i used to delibretly poke my tummy to get baby moving!!

Don't think we'll be having downs test either, if i remember right, last blood test i had with dd2 i had a 1;92000 chance so hopefully will be quite a high figure again! But having said that i still worried that the figure was wrong as was told it was one of the highest figures m/w had seen!

summerbird · 01/11/2008 20:33

HI there

I have thought about the Downs test and i dont think i want it, even though i am 35 and the risk is higher. I dont know, i may discus with the midwife but i know for sure i couldnt terminate a pregnancy because of the risk. But it is such a difficult decision for us all as i would respect anyone who did terminate. Tricky.

Anyway, i spent all day making a gorgeous beef and guinness pie and felt sick eating it! I am now shattered......zzzz

Goodnight girls!

Hi

Just like to introduce myself I'm Doris (well on here i'm doris ) I'm 32 and have 2 DD's (age 3and 1) and I'm 9+4.

I've been on the May thread but had a dating scan yesterday which put me to 2nd of June. So if it's ok I thought I'd pop over and join you june girls.

I had awful hyperemersis with the last 2 pregnancies and it's started badly with this one and I'm now on ondansetron which makes the day slightly more bearable but still rough.

Have an additional compliction of DD2 having cytic fibrosis which is gentic with a 1 in 4 risk to any pregnancy so have cvs booked for mid nov

so now you have my life story it will be really nice to meet you all over the next few months

Doris

Tee2072 · 02/11/2008 07:16

Hi Doris welcome!

Girls, I slept until 6:45 this morning! Like a normal person!

Still not very many symptoms over here. Mostly just very tired.

Have a very quiet Sunday planned of flat tidying. Have a great day everyone!

BobsWendy · 02/11/2008 07:47

welcome doris tee woulda loved to sleep till 6.45am but ds1 woke at 6.05am yelling for a wee, then got him back after said wee only for ds2 to wake straight away .

Feeling so rough last few days.

No plans for this wet Sunday.

BobsWendy · 02/11/2008 07:48

ooo forgot to say llynn that sounds like good news, yay!

Also ASOS website doing lovely maternity clothes now

ChloeandAlfie · 02/11/2008 09:00

Hello all..

Got 4 hours sleep last night... went out to a friend's to dinner, which was lovely, but they were serving mussels and clams as a starter!! I ended up having to blurt out that I was pregnant which was lovely, but now I feel I've tempted fate. AAAGH!! They were all thrilled and quickly served me up something different, but it was a bit awkward for the 10 mins while I was making frantic hand gestures to hubby about the food and he just wasn't 'getting it'!!

So we got in at 1 and then DS woke at 5, and chatted to himself in the cot for half an hour then went back to sleep til 7. I, however, did not and lay tossing and turning for 2 hours..... grr....

Anyway, happy Sunday everyone

flynn1984 · 02/11/2008 13:59

sorry you're feeling bad Flynnn - I had a bad cold very early in PG and was amazed at how much I obviously rely on lemsip and night nurse ! I used Olbas Oil, and drank a lot of warm water.

My hormones seem to have gone into overdrive - I've spent most of the last 2 days either in tears or fighting them back - when DP asks why, there is no reason - I just can't stop Anyone else get this ?

Tee2072 · 02/11/2008 19:14

I had that problem last week at work jools. Twice I nearly burst into tears at the office for absolutely no reason. How embarrassing! Just hope it doesn't happen during our board meeting this week!

chocciedooby · 02/11/2008 21:36

Welcome snowwombat. Fingers crossed for your bean. So sorry about losing your little baby.

Flynn I had an awful cold a few weeks ago and I found hot water with a slice of lemon and dessertspoonful of honey woked wonders. I've never shifted a cold so fast before

It was DS1's Birthday party today and I am pleased to say that it went well and I survived It actually took my mind off of how sick I feel. It is still lasting all day long

Tee2072 · 03/11/2008 07:44

Morning all.

What a horrible night I had. Awake between 2:30 and 3:30. Back awake at 5:30. Dozed for an hour. Got up at 6:30. Why do I sleep the worst when I have to be at work in the morning!?!?

Welcome Mamaolivia!! We've all be adding ourselves to the list, so you can do the same!

Hope everyone has a lovely Monday! [sarcasm]

Jools1 · 03/11/2008 08:46

Good Morning - I am wide awake now, but then I have been for most of the night so will be catatonic by this afternoon. I seem to have a couple of sleepless nights, then one really good night as I'm just so incredibly tired, and the cycle goes on and on and on ....

SnowWombat - I forgot to say hello and welcome yesterday - and I am so very sorry to hear about your earlier loss. I can't even begin to imagine how that must have felt

flynn1984 · 03/11/2008 09:15
