summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

hi all
back from our weekend away in a freezing caravan
Been to see gp tonight who has changed my due date to the 7th june despite me telling her I have a longet cycle anyways have also been booked in for my scan on tuesday 25th nov..yikes...seems quite real now that I will be having DC4

joyfuleyes · 27/10/2008 20:12

summerbird at 9 weeks it looks like a gummy bear a little blob but you can see arm & leg buds & make out the head - at 10 weeks it looks like a mini baby you'll probably see it moving around too.

BobsWendy · 27/10/2008 20:34

hi everyone, how are things? Back from a weekend on the home turf, it was lovely.

Am currently starving, exhausted and feeling chubby. It doesn't get much better

onehitwonder · 27/10/2008 20:48

Hello everyone and welcome to the new posters. Sympathies to all with morning sickness. I am guzzling Bottle Green Ginger and Lemongrass cordial with fizzy water, which seems to take the edge off. Also loving the rich tea biscuits (now christened 'mummies peckish biscuits' by DD, as I told her I was eating them as I was peckish).
Giant boobs ahoy here too. I really thought I would get away with it as I was still lactating a bit - but no. Went and bought a sloggies sleep bra yesterday, which keeps me more comfortable at night and keeps the norks under control.
I have my booking in appointment early, next monday as the mw is away the next week and I am away the following week. I guess my scan will be early december as I will be 12 weeks then.

Morning all!!

Boobs are starting to hurt ouch!!

Cotes... opps should have realised you were in france with name!!! Hope you had a nice lunch anyway!!

DD1 Been ill this weekend, woke up to her gagging in her bed followed by projectile vomitting in the bathroom, missing the toilet completely!!!

Chloe.. i have the same problems with cravings during pregnancy, pate is a favourite of mine, but you are in luck, you can buy pasturised pate in a tin that you can have, tastes not as good, but does the trick!!

Hope everyone has a good day!

BobsWendy · 28/10/2008 07:54

hows everyone this morning?

My .).) are starting to hurt too wilsonmummy... the joys!

Ds's were awake at 6.30am..... we're supposed to be on a week off nursery school run... arrrgghh!!!

chocciedooby · 28/10/2008 08:47

Hi everyone. Haven't been on for a while so trying to catch up.
Nausea kicked in big time last Thursday and has been on and off since. It pretty much lasts all day with small breaks. I am very hungry but every time I eat I feel sick afterwards The best thing I have found to help are the M & S stem ginger biscuits.
My boobs have gone to another level of soreness now. Sore when I took bra off last night.
Had some water in a restaurant on Saturday that had a slice of lime in it.When I got to the bottom of the glass I heaved at the smell and taste of the lime.Horrid.I normally love it.
Finding it hard to entertain DS's and they are off school this week which makes it more difficult.
bobswendy I have 2 DS's as well and I had them both in Holles street .
Didn't like the place at all tbh but I've decided to stick with it as my obstretitian was very good. Not looking forward to seeing Room 3 again (is that what its called where you go before you are in established labour?).

Tee2072 · 28/10/2008 09:59

Hi all. No ms but I tried to put on my new skirt today and it wouldn't fit!! It fit fine last week! I'm only 6 weeks!

Jools1 · 28/10/2008 10:10

Morning everyone I've been to see the physio this morning and can now move my neck again !! I had to have pillows under my chest during the treatment - it hurt too much otherwise to lie on my front !!

Tee - I bloated up really badly during weeks 6 - 8 and put on around half a stone - it seems to have eased off since and I actually lost 4 pounds, and I've recently heard people say it is quite normal to bloat up early on.

I'm having a paranoid day again - 2 weeks and just under 5 hours to my scan and I keep worrying there will be nothing there - no nausea, tiredness is barely noticeable, no real cravings - I keep holding on to the fact that I do feel the need to pee more often and it flows differently - tends to trickle ifswim and sometimes I have to rock forward to try and completely empty my bladder. I am hoping that means something is growing in there because I'm beginning to wonder and will be a nervous wreck in another fortnight.

flynn1984 · 28/10/2008 10:53

Morning all!

Hope everyone is well!
MS isn't here this morning...well feel sick but much MUCH better than what I have been over the past week, just feel tired and achey today.
Got another early scan next wed morning to make sure everything is ok looking forward to it as I'll be 8 weeks and been told I might hear the heartbeat here's hoping I do, just to give me reassurance...roll on 12 week scan too still waiting on my date for scan

llynnnn · 28/10/2008 12:14

i'm sooooo tired this week!! was fast asleep on the sofa at 8.45 last night, dh had to practically drag me up to bed then i slept like a log all night!! still didnt want to get up this morning tho

i've got my booking in app tomorrow morning, which i'm quite looking forward to, will hopefully get my scan date and hoping it will all feel more real. not looking forward to blood tests tho, hate needles!!

jools - how far on are you now? iirc a lot of the horrid symptoms (tiredness/sickness) do fade once you get to the 2nd trimester and some of us are getting close to that now, try not to worry

flynn - yay for no morning sickness!! hope its past you by completely now!

tee - i've just had over a week off work and my trousers to feel very snug today!!

wilson - hope your dd is feeling better now, i dont think i could cope with cleaning it all up at the mo!! hope u r ok!

Jools1 · 28/10/2008 12:22

Lynnnn - I'm 9+4 today

summerbird · 28/10/2008 12:23

jools i am feeling the same, even though i am having nausea and tiredness (and no AF!!) i still need constant reassurance that i am PG. My scan is one week, 6 days and 21 hours and i cant wait to get to it!!

Here's to our little wrigglers! llynn i cant believe we are almost heading for the second trimester! it is going to go so fast. I have my HR appointment this afternoon to discuss mat leave etc, exciting stuff!

Summerbird - we must have scans the same day ?? Mine is Nov 11th, 15:50 - bummer them making me wait around all day, when I could potentially go shopping if I get good news !

BobsWendy · 28/10/2008 12:40

LittleSarah · 28/10/2008 12:52

Urgh, had a bit of a irritable email exchange with a tutor today - him being an arse - and felt really overly upset. Shed some tears in the toilet (am at work). God, way too emotional! Think it was also because I haven't felt that sick today so I'm paranoid again... it's exhausting.

onehitwonder - mmmmmm, rich teas.

Waiting for scans is awful isn't it? And this from someone who has had one! But as it all went wrong wk 9 last time and I am 8+3 I am no longer feeling reassured.

Oh well. Here's to more heartbeats!

Tee2072 · 28/10/2008 13:11

Yeah, other than the apparent sudden weight gain and the fact that AF hasn't visited in awhile (and the two BFPs!!) I would never know I am PG! No nausea or cravings or anything.

I am a bit tired, but that could be my lousy sleep patterns!

Can't wait for my first antenatal next week! Maybe then it will feel a bit more real!

Jools1 · 28/10/2008 13:14

Tee - only two BFP's !!

How very restrained I did two on the day I found out - as the first Boots one was too inconclusive for me to feel comfortable, another a few days later before my GP appt, a 4th the day I was going down to tell my parents and a 5th on the morning of my first MW appt - you get the picture - I had to keep checking it was real before I told anyone and got laughed out of the surgery !!

ChloeandAlfie · 28/10/2008 13:58

Thanks for the pate tip llynnn I'm going ot Tesco later, I'll have to pick some up.

Had physio today (for a car accident I was in last month) and she was sooooo crap. I was talking to her about the SPD I had last pregnancy and SHE DIDN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT IT WAS!! I couldn't believe it. I had to check she was a real physio by looking up the letters after her name. Jeez! I hope I don't get referred to her this time when I see the midwife in a fortnight. Doesn't fill me with confidence!!

ChloeandAlfie · 28/10/2008 13:59

Sorry wilsonmummy it was you with the pate tip, thanks for that xx

LittleSarah · 28/10/2008 13:59

Have had some period style pain today, not cramps so much, just tight. Probably nothing but is not improving my mood...

Tee2072 · 28/10/2008 14:06

LittleSarah I have had those almost every day since I got my BFP. I have read everything I can find on cramps during early PG and so long as there is no bleeding, its not a problem!

jools I actually still have one stick left!

I was going to only test once, but as soon as I told my OH he was all 'test again test again!!' And I got an official yes from my doc's office also!

I may go pee on the last stick this weekend, just because I adored staring at those sticks saying 'pregnant', especially after 16 months of the opposite!! I used digital ones both times!

wilsonmummy · 28/10/2008 14:10

hey all!!

Llynnnn... Dd1 ok now thanks just glad it was a one day bug!! couldn't have coped with much more sick mopping!!

Welcome sweetie i had a short pregnany with dd1 to although not as short as yours i was 12 weeks before i found out!!!

Sat at work here feeling like i could crawl under my desk and fall asleep can't stop yawning!!

Tee & Choccie.. waistband feeling abit larger to, i have a spill of flesh over the top of my trousers, not a good thing

flynn1984 · 28/10/2008 16:11

Hiya all!

quick question...has anyone suffered 'weird' dreams?? The past week i've had a few weird dreams...one where a wild bore was chasing me and trying to eat me as I shouted for Bradley from Eastenders to help me (i dont even like eastenders!) Another dream I had was that there were trees growing out from my house and last nights dream I was being gunned down by 2 snipers...anyone else having weird and not wonderful dreams???
