Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

Tee2072 · 22/10/2008 10:41

Morning all!

Saw the GP today and she sent the referral letter to the High Risk Pregnancy clinic for me. Should have my booking in date around the middle of November.

I was very impressed with my GP when I told her the date of my last period and she said, 'so 26th June then' without even looking at a calendar or counting or anything!

My OH, who I adore, said to me last night, as I complained about the sore boobs and sore back 'its like your mutating!' And then he sang the Transformers song to me.

Milkmade grrr, I'd be so annoyed! And I'd leave early!

funkybumps I have had both that feeling and what feels like menstrual cramps. I mentioned to my GP today and she said that was perfectly normal as the baby settles in there!

bigcar · 22/10/2008 11:02

Morning all!

I can't believe there is already a july thread, funkybumps, you are so much more on the ball than me I didn't test until I was about 6 weeks!

Dd3 has a rotten cold and cough and has had us up all night, every time she fell asleep I needed to get up for a wee, just my luck!

flynn1984 · 22/10/2008 11:09

Hiya

Well scan went well, sac is bigger and the yolk sac can now be seen, to go back in 2 weeks time for another scan They say sac measured at around 6 weeks (I thought I would have seen fetal pole tho).

I feel really ill this morning, got a throbing headache and sickness feeling again. But hey I'm happy they saw something in the sac this time!

I hope everyone is keeping well.

flynn198 YAYAYAYA Great news!

funkybumps · 22/10/2008 12:03

congrats flynn..xx

bigcar - My DD is suffering aswell at the mo and also had me up all night with a terrible cough and sore throat. I'm a bit anxious at starting a July thread as I know it's incredibly early. TBH, I wish I had waited until AF now to find out but honestly didn't exect to see a positive..it was just a habit I'd got into with testing each month from around 9dpo with ebay cheapies, I hasten to add.

Went to see doc yesterday who was a complete waste of time as it's all done through midwives now in our area and she wasn;t willing to discuss anything. I wanted to know if I should be taking some supplements like folic acid etc.. at this stage. Are you all taking anything ?

Jools1 · 22/10/2008 12:07

Folic acid - definitely - it is really important to start taking it ASAP - I've been buying pregnacare ones from Boots - contain all the right vitamins for preggie and TTC women

Tee2072 · 22/10/2008 12:30

funkybumps this morning my GP suggested pregnacare, which you can get at Boots. It has folic acid and all the other stuff you need for a healthy baby!

summerbird · 22/10/2008 12:32

Afternoon all, i am feeling nauseous today so am nibbling on ginger biscuits - mmm

funky i would either take folic acid or pregnacare - as Jools said they have all the essential vitamins.

fantastic about your scan flynn woo hoo!

ChloeandAlfie · 22/10/2008 13:12

Oh my God, I'm sorry if this is way too much info... but I'd completely forgotten about the DISCHARGE. Sorry, sorry, sorry if you are eating your lunch.

I have to change pantyliners all the time or I feel like I'm wetting myself!!

AAAGH!

Diege · 22/10/2008 13:12

Hi HEEBS and other newbies!
To pass on a sickness tip, I bought some organic oat and ginger biscuits from Morrisons yesterday and they are really helping. Could be because they have 'real' ginger as ipposed to ginger nut variety. Thought I'd pass on anyway!

Diege · 22/10/2008 13:12

LOL CHLOE, me too

ChloeandAlfie · 22/10/2008 13:16

Isn't it gross Diege? Jeez. I know I had it last time, but I think I'd repressed the trauma of it all!!

leaky · 22/10/2008 13:23

Hi mica23.Wecome & congratulations

Does anyone have days when you really feel very little in the way of symptoms after already having them for over a week or so?
It's so worrying but I am trying to keep positive.Still have sore boobs but haven't woken around 5am for a biscuit for the past 3 days & don't think I feel so knackered either.

Why do they make us wait so long for scans,it's a hard time!I know I'm probably just being stupid & should enjoy the fact that I'm feeling well

Jools1 · 22/10/2008 13:36

Leaky - I have absolutely minimal symptoms anyway, but even the ones I DO have go away from time to time. They usually come back just after I've started to obsess about lack of symptoms !!

I'm nearly 9 weeks and haven't even thrown up yet - no nausea since Monday either and I stayed up till 12.30 last night !

mica23 · 22/10/2008 13:47

i was just trying to read throu old posts.I had to give up as its just too many of them but have to defend Boots tests. They worked for me.3 days before my period was due .Just waned to prove myself that I was imagining things and got grat big clear cross..Maybe I was just lucky.Where do ypu get free Clear Blueas anyway?

mica23 · 22/10/2008 13:52

Hi Leaky, I had nausea at firs but now feel completely without simptoms (except hunger ).I keep my positive pregnancy test in the bathroom and go and look at it from time to time just to prove myself that its real!!

Jools1 · 22/10/2008 13:56

Mica - when I tested, the Boots test was just terrible I had so many symptoms, I was 99% certain I was PG, but just couldn't work out if there was a very faint cross in the box or just a control line - it was absolutely maddening !! I even took the test apart - held the strip up to the light - just couldn't decide if the line had colour or not and was getting quite worked up about it

I'd signed up for a trial of the new ClearBlue digital pg test with conception indicator, so had that sitting in a drawer - dug that out and it told me what I wanted I think the trial ends next week, so I would guess you can't apply any more. It was a lucky test for loads and loads of people

Maybe the Boots ones are only any good later on, ie too early at 13DPO when testing in the afternoon.

leaky · 22/10/2008 14:04

Thanx Jools1 that's made me feel lots better

Tee2072 · 22/10/2008 14:48

leaky my symptoms seem to come and go, except for a wicked backache and boobs that are killing me!

Oh, and I am hungry all the time!!

LittleSarah · 22/10/2008 15:23

So scan measured me at 7 weeks 3 days, not 8 weeks 2 days as I thought. Which means I'm now due 6th/7th of June. Not worried about that as I didn't get a positive until a week after my period was due so thought I may be less far along!

I saw little heartbeat and the yolk sac. Very pleased. Also, they are giving me another scan in two weeks because I was less far along than expected and because they want to check out everything is alright past 9 wks, which is when things went wrong last time. So, still worried but hopeful.

MrsMcJnr - Spain, lucky you! I bet you had a great summer. I love Autumn here though, getting lots of nice crisp clear days so I guess it's not all bad!

I don't have THE HUNGER like some of you. Too nauseous. Eating half what I usually eat as I get full quickly. Actually ate a decent lunch today felt really sick after.

Flynn - that's great news! So reassuring to be told everything is okay by professionals!

Tee2072 · 22/10/2008 15:29

LittleSarah yeah for sacs and heartbeats! Eh, so you get an extra week! Kinda like when the clocks change, suddenly you have an extra hour!

chocciedooby · 22/10/2008 15:35

Great news Flynn.
