summerbird · 27/09/2008 15:37

Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

Hi Ladies,
After getting faint line from my ebay tests on Saturday i decided to use my clearblue freebee test and it turns out that im pregnat. I got a BFP with 1-2 weeks from conception, that make me about 4 weeks.
I cant believe it as i had a MC in July, im hoping this one will be here to stay!
According to my dates i will be due on 27th July.

spook · 20/10/2008 09:33

Hello everyone. Can I join the June gang??
Had 2 really strong BFP's on Friday but has taken till today to sink in really. We were due to start IVF this week so I've moved across from that thread. We've been TTC for 2 years after a ruptured ectopic and had really given up on the idea of conceiving naturally. Its funny though-I sort of knew IYKWIM. I have been consuming the calorific equivalent of a small African nation for the last week or so which really isn't me (DS1 was really shocked the other morning because I was eating breakfast with them...I hadn't even noticed!!)I just looked at the test and calmly thought "Oh. Good" Weirdo
Anyway- reckon I'm around the 27th. Just about to phone the clinic and cancel the IVF. Omigod!!!

VickyJane-so so sorry sweetheart. Please take care of yourself.

Diege · 20/10/2008 09:52

Morning . Congrats SPOOK that's great news, and just before IVF - wow you must be over the moon .
Congrats too LULLY! I also had mc in July, so know how nervewracking these early weeks can be. I'm sure things will be fine this time
JOOLS Madrid sounds great - very . WE'll try and fit in a weekend in our favourite UK place Whitby. Planes and toddlers aren't a great combination in my experience! Enjoy whole you can .
Morning to everyone else

bigcar · 20/10/2008 10:07

Vickyjane, I'm so sorry to hear your news, take care of yourself x

MrsMcJnr, your so right about the migraines, it usually takes me about 3 days to fully recover! Thankfully I don't get them any where near as much as I used to.

I've still got the permanently sick feeling, but thankfully not too much actual throwing up! I'm quite addicted to toast at the moment, it seems to help a little.

chocciedooby · 20/10/2008 10:44

So sorry Vicky. Take care xx

Nemoandthefishes · 20/10/2008 10:48

VJ sorry to hear your news

feeling sorry for myself today as all last night was awake with cramps and D+V Honestly kept expecting to see blood but so far nothing so am hoping it is either a bug or very bad stretching and MS,,also look like I am about 5mths pregnant as my stomach has swelled right out but I think I am only about 7wks

chocciedooby · 20/10/2008 10:50

Hello to all the new BFP's.

I've been out for my morning walk but didn't do the usual power walking this time, decided to slow the pace down a little as tummy still upset. The gale force winds helped to push me along . I really don't want to pile on the pounds as much as I did the last 2 times.

Hi MrsMcJnr, I am finding that I am much more anxious on this pg than I ever was before. The other 2dc were not planned and as this one kind of was I feel that I can't relax as much.

Every morning that I wake up I am expecting the nausea to kick in but it's really not here yet so thats good.I'm also managing to stay awake at night until gone 11pm which is not the norm for me when pg. I have a feeling that next week will be different and I will be crawling into my bed at 8pm Is anyone else feeling the overwelming tiredness yet?

chocciedooby · 20/10/2008 10:54

I had some cramps last night too Nemo. I was fine until DS2 woke up around 3am and I had to get up and go to him. When I was back in bed the cramps started and it took me about 30 mins to get back to sleep. My tummy has been upset on and off for about a week now and I've never experienced this in pgcy before. it does sometimes seem to improve once I have taken a trip to the bathroom (sorry if tmi).
My stomach has also swelled up loads and I'm only 5weeks + 4. I keep telling myself it has to be the build up of acid.

ChloeAnderson · 20/10/2008 11:36

Yup... overwhelming tiredness, nauseous and cramps....and copious amounts of toast and crackers. I put on four stone last time, and I'm DETERMINED not to become that much of a bloater this time. The SPD didn't help much, but the weight probably made that worse as well....

7 weeks + 3 days.... roll on 12 weeks.....

Jools1 · 20/10/2008 11:46

Welcome and congratulations Spook and Lully

I am having a HUNGRY day today - have eaten virtually all the healthy snacks I brought to work with me and am eyeing up my sandwiches already

Stretching cramps - I had some particularly noticeable / uncomfortable ones on Thurs morning - it all seems to have eased off since then though and I find myself wishing for a twinge or two I do find now that I can't eat dinner leaning over the coffee table - have to sit up as my tum objects to being squashed.

LullyMummaOfOne · 20/10/2008 12:24

Thanks for the lovely welcome ladies, i have a good feeling im here to stay on this june thread (i did join the Feb one but that ended in july). I want to keep positive and will ask the GP for an early scan at 8 weeks just to stop me from going out of my mind with worry.
I dont really have many symptoms at the mo, although i do feel rather sick if i havent eaten that much or if i drink alot of water it makes me feel as if im going to puke!!
My boobies feel heavy but not painful, just a little tender at times.

With my DS i didnt suffer with sickness just really bad tiredness and very painful boobies.

daisy5 · 20/10/2008 16:41

Hi MrsMcJnr - I'm not able to CAT but please give him my best - Kristen. Hope all well with you - Spain seems very appealing at this moment in time aka cold and wet and grey with summertime ending next weekend

TheLittleMermaid · 20/10/2008 18:59

Hello all and big welcome to new BFPs. I'm due on 26th June so only 4 weeks and feeling really nervous. Thought I'd be calmer this time (have DS 12m) but no such luck. I range from quiet panic to mild hysteria. Soooo long to wait. No symptoms yet except massive tummy already - boo - and feeling of overwhelmingness (surely that's not a word!) Off out for some (pretend) drinks with girlfriends tonight, have to try and keep it secret. x

MrsMcJnr · 20/10/2008 22:01

Jools1 ? how about a trip to Scotland? There are some gorgeous little places to go in and around Edinburgh

Congrats Lully and Spook (amazing story! I?m so pleased for you! )

Nemo ? hope you feel much better soon

Choccie ? I am tired but not overwhelmingly so, I remember clearly the heaviness around my eyes when I was pg with DS but I was working full time and commuting an hour each way then so maybe my pace is a bit slower now (albeit with a permanent mini companion!) hope your tum settles down soon.

Daisy ? will do

Thelittlemermaid ? hope you manage to keep your secret tonight!

really stupid question but can someone tell me, if I am due on 6/6 how many weeks am I? I haven?t had a period since I had DS in January but I know roughly when I ovulated and my fertility software gave me the due date. I got my BFP on 26/9 and had a scan the following week but the Dr only talked in terms of how old the embryo was and I think that meant from conception

Marsh08 · 20/10/2008 22:28

Hello, can I join you guys too? I've just found out I'm pegnant with no.2, about 3 weeks, so due the end of June. My DS is 11 months so I'm excited, but also slightly shocked, and a bit nervous, about talking about it, it being so early, and about the smallish gap!

MrsMcJnr · 20/10/2008 22:34

Welcome and congrats Marsh you are in good company here, quite a few of us have young DCs too, my DS is 9 months

Marsh08 · 20/10/2008 22:43

Hi, thanks - I feel better already!

TheLittleMermaid · 21/10/2008 06:56

Don't think I managed to keep my secret very well. Oh dear. And then DS decided to keep me up all night. Literally. He had slight temperature and wailed everytime I tried to put him down to sleep in his cot. As if I wasn't tired enough already!

Congrats Marsh - I was in total shock too. DS 12m and was just thinking about starting to try when found was already pregnant.

MrsMcJnr - I'm not sure how to work out the weeks either. I looked on BBC pregnancy calendar which is quite good. Not sure if there is anything similar on MN 'cos I'm new to it.

x

funkybumps · 21/10/2008 08:30

hi, do you girls mind if I join ? Have already spotted some familiar names from the ttc thread xx

Well, got a BFP yesterday on a clearblue digital which estimates I am 1-2 weeks so in very early stages at this point.

I know I'm kind of a fraud for posting in the June thread as officially my due date will be 3rd July 2009 but as I have to have an elective c-section this time I will be taken in at 38 weeks which brings the due date into June instead.

Really hope this is a sticky bean x Even though I've only known for less than 24 hours I am already in pregnancy mode !

Also, tested early as AF is not due until Saturday ( seemed a good idea at the time but now I wish I'd waited !! ) so am slightly panicky that it won't implant properly or something ! Help, I'm driving myself mad already

Jools1 · 21/10/2008 09:14

Welcome Funkybumps - sending lots of sticky vibes

Welcome Marsh08 too

MrsMcJnr - re dates - I think I'm due on 29/05/09 (although GP standard calculation says 28/05/09) and consider myself 8 weeks and 4 days today, so I guess you would be 7 days behind that ?

3 weeks today till my first scan

LittleSarah · 21/10/2008 10:01

lullymummaofone - hey, I was on Feb thread too only to have it over by July. Better luck for us both this time I hope.

Hello to all newbies!

Very sorry to hear your news Vickyjane.

Well I have my scan this afternoon at 8 weeks, 2 days. Very nervous. I'm blinking glad I have an early scan though as just got through my booking scan and by then I'll be over 15 weeks! 4th Dec!

Another horrible smelling taxi this morning, honestly, it was like urine. Ugh.

Symptoms okay, nauseous here and there and pretty damn tired still.

I'd better go, at work, but internet is down at home and wanted to check in with you all.

LittleSarah · 21/10/2008 10:02

MrsMcJnr - are you in Edinburgh?? I am.

omeNofthefleshes · 21/10/2008 10:24

hi all
Marsh small gaps rule I had 2.2yrs between ds and dd1 then 12mths betweendd1 and dd2.This will be my biggest gap yet at 2.5yrs!!

mrsmc when they were talking about embryo it will have been how pg you were as they dont actually go from conception iykwim they automatically add on 2wks.

I am dying here have been up all night with pregnancy insomnia..all symptoms so far have been sooo similair to what I had with ds its unbelievable. DH is convinced its another boy but think he just likes the idea of balance and not being completely outnumbered by women
Anyone else still testing every couple of days or is that just me

omeNofthefleshes · 21/10/2008 10:26

oops sorry tis nemo..lol

summerbird · 21/10/2008 12:47

I just got back from Barcelona and didnt have Morning Sickness until today - hoorah! I am just jumping on to say hi and i will do a full read up on your progress later on.

I have just got my scan date through - 11 November - three weeks today! At which point i will be 10 weeks, which i am thrilled about.
