Hi there

Did the test last night even though DH wanted me to wait a few days. I wanted to just do it to see if i could have a glass of wine or not and hoo-bloody-rah after 6 months of TTC number one i got a BFP on the free ClearBlue digital test!

So need to get a GP appointment but reckon i am due on 5 June 2009.

Anyone want to join me?

Due date -weeelllll - GP reckons May 28th, but I reckon at least a day later as I can feel ovulation and know it was on CD16. Technically, that makes me an interloper on this thread, but I waste spend a lot of time surfing and figured I could chat on more than one thread, with the advantage that there will still be people around to chat to when the rest of May are busy giving birth

MW and my mother both reckon I've put on weight too fast and think either my dates must be wrong or I could be having two ! Very unusually, I felt OV on the evening of CD15 and AGAIN the next morning, so maybe there were 2 eggs

Diege · 19/10/2008 15:28

LOL so could be twins then May is also a great month to be have a baby (my bd is 27th ). Who knows, you may well creep into June and outdo the rest of us!

Jools1 · 19/10/2008 15:35

As for Christmas shopping - I'm a November baby , so for me, Christmas has never started until that is over with ! I guess you have to be super-organised !

I guess that may well change once I have kids to buy for, rather than just adult family Am having to restrain myself from browsing ELC and Mothercare anyway - feels like tempting fate to do that before the scan !

Off to walk into town in the sunshine, otherwise I'll still be sat on the PC at bedtime

Diege · 19/10/2008 16:03

Sunshine What's that? . We are obviously at opposite ends of the country!
Yes, having 2 Nov birthdays is a pain if I'm honest. I can't really think about Xmas until they're over, then it seems like I've got no time left!

llynnnn · 19/10/2008 17:14

hi all
just a quicky, congrats to all the newcomers!!

i'm going on hols for a few days tomorrow so wont be about until sat, take care of yourselves and your little tiny bumps!

Tee2072 · 19/10/2008 17:33

Just got a BFP yesterday and by my calculations, I'm due 26th June!

Gonna see the doc this week (I hope!)!

We've been TTC for over a year and it was the first month that I said 'screw it' and didn't take temp or pee on ovulation stick or anything, just looked at calendar said to hubby, today would be good, and BAM! Preggers!

Good luck to all of us!

Hello ladies, I'm sorry to say, but I'm out. The light brown discharge turned into awful bleeding this morning. I went to hospital, they did a scan and saw the sac but no contents, they are going to re-scan me on Wednesday. I'm going to give myself a break now, but will hopefully be joining some threads later on in the year.
Take care and good luck with all your preganacies, and thankyou for all your wonderful support. xxx

ChloeAnderson · 19/10/2008 18:14

Diege ? hello I know what you mean about the out of it feeling, I keep catching myself fading out when people are talking to me

Ohh Jools ? wonder if it is two then?

Ah congrats Tee

Diege · 19/10/2008 21:39

Vickyjane I am so sorry to hear your news Will be thinking of you x

Hi MrsMcJnr - agree, 'fading out' is a good way to describe it! (though I can do that at the best of times anyway ).

Off for an early night I think (though want to catch the snbooker first ).

Jools1 · 19/10/2008 21:43

Have been trying to book a short break for self and DP - why are things in England so expensive [angry[ - I fancied 4 or 5 nights in St Ives and didn't want to drive - the B&B plus train fares would be £500

Got to think of somewhere we want to go that Easyjet flies to now - maybe that will be cheaper !

I'm just aware that this may be our last trip away before things get busy, so wanted to make it nice without spending a small fortune - any ideas anyone ?

onehitwonder · 20/10/2008 07:16

So sorry to hear your news VickyJane .

onehitwonder · 20/10/2008 07:22

Hi Jools1. Easyjet fly to Barcelona, and if you don't fancy staying in Barcelona itself, there are some nice seaside destinations you can reach by train from there. Sitges is nice, quite cosmopolitan, has a few musuems/art galleries and a good base to do day trips into Barcelona/Taragona. I found a very good website for booking apartments called niumba (can't remember if .com, but if you google you should find it).
Madrid is lovely too (think easyjet fly there).

Milkmade · 20/10/2008 09:07

Vicky - really sorry to hear your news, I hope your friend, familiy and hospital are looking after you well.

Milkmade · 20/10/2008 09:08

Vicky - really sorry to hear your news - I hope your familiy, friends and hospital are all looking after you well. x

ChloeAnderson · 20/10/2008 09:09

I'm sat here ramming cream crackers into my mouth, trying to feel less sick. I had it a lot worse last pregnancy, but it's still miserable....

Milkmade · 20/10/2008 09:09

Jools - you inspired me to get off my arse - I went swimming and spinning this weekend!

Jools1 · 20/10/2008 09:12

Very impressed Milkmade I hope you survived Spinning OK - I know it really chafes down below if I haven't been for a while - treated myself to a gel seat cover recently

Onehitwonder thanks for the suggestions I may look into Madrid actually, as I've never been there, and I would hope it is warmer than here
