Really chuffed... I've won the red Isabella Oliver wrap over dress I was bidding on something nice to wear at christmas... or anytime I feel like it maybe before then!

Managed without the sickness bands all day... only just had to put them on now so MS def improving.

OOOOH FiKelly - wish you hadn't mentioned Wispa's - I really, really fancy one now to go with my cup of tea!
Am such a lardy bum today - DH brought home cream cakes at 3pm then we went out for dinner with the kids and I had the most fabulous pizza with artichokes, parma ham, salami, olives and loads of other deliciousness on it. (Don't usually like pizza much - weird!) YUMMY.
Feel a bit sick now tho.

Am wearing maternity jeans today - so nice not to feel constricted. Don't know about you ladies, but if something is even remotely tight on my tummy it makes me feel sick. They make me look fatter though, not good. Guess I'd better get used to it.

Am liking Annabel by the way if this baby is a girl. What do you think? Anyone else have any baby name thoughts? Am a bit stuck for a boy name tho.

My 11 month old is called Anabel. Grea name and everyone has told me thet love it (I guess they have to).
DH and I were talking names today he likes really old fashioned afrikans names which scares me but I like for a girl Eliouse or Tessa at the moment. For a boy not sure...

I'm the same frazzle with anything tight around the belly... makes me really queasy.

Started wearing the maternity trousers on Wednesday and so much more comfortable now... have to stop and haul them back up every time I bend down though lol. They do make me look more like i'm in my second trimester instead of only 10wks

Annabel is a lovely name frazzled.

Current favourites are Penelope for a girl and Edward for a boy - both DH's choices (the most interest he has shown!). What do you think? We are keeping our choices quiet in RL but I guess I can tell you lot, if you promise to keep it secret

I have been very lardy today too. Went out for a Thai lunch with work, then got a "craving" for fish and chips for tea (think I was craving the salt and its the only thing I have salt on)

As for names, we're thinking maybe Megan, Milly or Molly for a girl, and Sam or Joshua for a boy. Ben was our only boys name during both pg so tricky to think of another one. Our DD is Katie.

spangle - I can keep a secret and I love talking baby names. There is a thread at the moment about Penelope by the way - love it and love the shortening to Pen as well. Lovely. Edward nice too (but my DH wouldn't go for it - he likes Edwin which I think sounds wimpy for some reason).

Glad you like Annabel, I love Anna as a name but one of my best friends has an Anna so couldn't use it and Annabel is similar and pretty I think. Think it goes with my other 2 DD names - not sure if I should reveal them on here tho in case anyone in RL is lurking and susses me out (not particularly common names).

Febes - is your DH South African? Mine is and was threatening that any other children we had (b4 I got pregnant) had to be called by one of his Afrikaans family names. None of which I liked, or I couldn't pronounce properly!! I do like some Afrikaans names, but there isn't one that we've agreed on yet!!

Yes he's from SA. He has 3 first names which are so long. If we have a boy the middle name will be Cornilieus after him, his dad, his granddad etc etc but I need more normal first name otherwise my family won't be able to pronounce it right. We have to find a common ground. We chose Rueben for a boy last time so may use that if boy this time.

I've been craving a lot of carbs so lets hope beanie is growing well. I crave them but really struggle to eat them.

Most of our family is Scottish... so DH & I want to go for a celtic name again.

I'm a Fiona, we picked Finn last time as it was the male version of my name & it couldn't be shortened to anything weird! Thinking maybe Fearghas (gaelic spelling of fergus) for a boy... means supreme choice! but not sure about the shortened versions... eg gus.

My fav girls names are Grace & Rose but not celtic based at all ... quite fancy a Grace Kelly LOL

DS has a middle name Johannes, which I can pronounce, but my family struggle with it!! We haven't discussed a boys name this time, but if its a girl the middle name will Cornelia!! Its also difficult to find names that DH's family can pronounce, but heyho thats life!!

Choosing names is so hard! Right up till the birth of DS I was undecided... he was nameless for at least 48hrs while i figured out if he looked like a finn

FiKelly - what about Fergal (or the gaelic spelling which is Fearghal or something like that?). I'm in Scotland too and used to know a really lovely little boy called Fergal - it's lovely I think [adds to own (very short) list of boys names!) By the way, my DH wants Fiona for one of our girls names (middle name possibly).

Am craving breakfast cereal. Bought six boxes of different kinds yesterday. Haven't had cereal since I was pg with DD2, (2 years ago!) And before that I ate Rice Crispies constantly when pg with DD1. Does this mean it's another girl? Or will I be giving birth to a huge Weetabix this time?

frazzle Fearghal is a good one too... I also like Ruairidh but I think everyone locally (not living in Scotland anymore) will have a time & a half spelling it not that it would deter me!

Hi Frazzled just a bit of info re nuchal scans. I think that in most of GB you have to pay for these - anything from £150 - £200 depending on the area. The date you can have them is quite narrow - you'll need to check but think it is from 11 - 13+6 weeks. They do bloods at same time, consider your age, look for a nasal bone on bean and measure thickness of fluid at back of baby's neck. Then they add all this up and come up with a rating of 1 in X amount. When you have your rating you can then decide if you want to get a definitiv answer with an invasive test - be that CVS or amnio. If you will only ever be happy with definitive then it prob isn't worth the cost. I was something like 1 in 4000 last time and was happy with that risk so didn't have anything invasive.
