Thought I'd better start the thread since a) I've never done it before b) I'm not actually in labour right now c) it'll take all the 9 remaining posts on the previous thread to get the link to this one done correctly!

Not much again going on here today a few ouchy BH but thats all. We are celebrating DD 3rd birthday tomorrow (a day early) finally DH managed to find the Thomas the Tank Engine cake that she has been asking for for 6 months. I can't wait till she sees her cake and opens her presents - i'm all excited

cant wait to hear more. the list is getting very short now isnt it?! Am feeling a bit better today, was really quite down end of last week, and quite cross with myself for feeling that way too if that makes sense. I told myself i would enjoy every last scrap of being pg this time (i only got fed up when overdue last time) especially as we dont plan on having any more, but i just cant help feeling grumpy and completely lkacking in motivation. i guess i just thought baby would be here by now... Anyway, good thing is i'm really quite comfortable except for horrid heartburn so i should just 'make the most of it' as everyone keeps telling me! just soooooooo excited to meet my baby

in NO rush for baby to arrive. but goodness! as each day passes and i go further overdue,
i must admit that i'm getting more moody, more depressed over little things, and just over all fussy.
i know this will pass! and i will feel loads better (regardless of sleepless nights) once the wee one arrives!
not much longer, plus! sage have a wonderful time with that party!!!

well happy due date to me!! sod all happening, still restless and achey and yesterday's "period pains" were obviously loo related not baby related!!

still, I only have to wait until weds for my induction... I am feeling fairly positive about that now even though it is not what I wanted. To be honest I just want the spd to go away!!

going out for lunch with sil and family today, when i had ds we also went out for lunch the day labour started so maybe history will repeat!

hi everyone, big congratulations to everyone who's had their babes, haven't posted sincetold you all about ds birth, just started trying to catch up (was doing this since 5 cos ds awake screaming)

have we started a postnatal thread yet, or is this the one we're all using.
totally loving this time with ds, so different from first few weeks with dd, really chilled out this time and from the word go have had amazing bond with ds. bf going great, was only 5lb 1oz at birth and last week had put on 10oz's in 6 days. getting weighed again by midwife tomorrow so fingers crossed good weight gain continues
dd been brilliant (most of time)-just heard her waking up so must go, will try and read through old post so can heard everyone's birth stories x

MissusH happy due date!

today, DH is heading out to finish a side project for a client and its conveniently in the centre of a shopping outlet...the heavily pregnant side of me wants to stay home cos i know its gonna knacker me out. BUT the other side of me is really bored and wants to SHOP! i'll have ds in tow as well so thats almost doubling the exhaustion..

at the same time, perhaps the waddling around the shops will aid in starting things off.

righty, i'm off to sort out my roots. ((can't have them being the focal point of the photos of me and baby in the post-delivery photos, now can i?)) i'm joking of course. but yes, im off to sort them.

i hope to check back in a bit with words of something going on here! lets get this in motion, gals!! come on, all of us on the same day, eh??

foxytocin - brilliant, brilliant news. Many congratulations - and what absolutely beautiful names. Can't wait to hear the full report.

plusonemore - I'm determined to make the most of my pre-baby time too. If it comes to it, I'm very happy to wait till next weekend, much longer than that and I'll start getting twitchy. But another 7-10 days would give us time to (possibly) finish the kitchen, plus there would be 3 days at home for me during the week with no kids when I can go swimming, do some knitting, bake some more chocolate biscuits and generally potter. Sounds good doesn't it!

Anyway, I've done this twice and had to wait till 41 weeks for the baby, and I remember both times how physically shot to pieces I was after the birth and how nostalgically I looked back on the pre-birth phase. So here's to enjoying it (I'm lucky though, and physically not really suffering, just heartburn and a stiff right hip to complain about!!)

Morning everyone else. NO signs of baby making a move today, just loads of BH and babs kicking in some awkward places! We are just enjoying the sun and some relaxation. Off to the park soon for a long walk and maybe some lunch but just stuffed my face with eggy bread and bacon and feel quite full now!

Foxy at last! Ellideb - we knew you must have graduated, it's good to have news. Leonie it sounds like it went well, and to all the others as well.

I'll add the name for my new DD Maebh (Maeve) Dana. We were so surprised to see a girl it took a cople of days to choose!

DH now out with DD1 so I've had an hours nap and time to catch up with this thread - bliss!

Maebh feeding well - especially at night. Last night was better as she managed 1.5 hours between feeds (the first 2 nights she had 3 hour feeding clusters).

I'mm well but DH seems to be suffering from the birth - sore back from me pushing on it, tired (from my disturbed sleep before I gave birth - now he's on sofa or spare bed), I've had to let him have lie-ins, naps in the day and bring him lunch. Anone else's DH suffering??

I'm here bouncing on my ball telling the baby its okay to come out now.

I so want to avoid a sweep but as each day passes its becoming a tempting option.

In bed last night I had 2 proper contractions but slept as they were very mild.

Woke up feeling very peculiar and weepy and just had 'the feeling' today would be the day.

I've had several proper contractions all day, 2 even in Sainsburys, but there is no regulatory or consistancy in their level of pain.

DH and I have been very busy today clearing stuff out, cleaning, bleaching etc.

The boys are now fast asleep in bed and I've told her its safe to come out now and she responded with the biggest contraction of the day...cross your fingers please that I'll give birth tonight, I'm so ready.

we checked out the birth pool tonight - very exciting, it looks great ... so we are all set if necessary.
