rrayray i found that no airline staff batted an eye at my belly except when one women started to radio for a 'golf cart' (really drawing a blank as to what they are called) to take me to my next departure gate, which was quite a ways away. i declined. it was a four hour stop over so i had plenty of time to get there. did you notice if your belly swelled a bit during the flight?

I can't sleep in the early/middle of the night much, and find I'm often ready to go to sleep just as ds starts to wake up, though fortunately dp does a lot of looking after him in the morning. I struggle to get up at around 7 am. Then I can't stay awake at work.

Hello everyone,
As time is cracking on I have just ordered my buggy- eek! Very nervous that I have ordered the wrong one. Gone for the Phil and Teds Vibe (lots of friends rave about the sport but I found the break really difficult). Any experience?

givethedogabone- I have ordered it from mothercare online as I had a discount voucher. I was going to get it from a cheaper internet company but so many companies are going bust that I have been a little cautious (my nature!). Also the ease of taking it back should there be a problem etc. Will let you know as soon as it comes what I think.

It was £420 ish with the discount. in fact I have just looked at the voucher and it is still valid until midnight today- the code is FAF8 adn gives you 20% discount- so you could order it and then take it back within 28 days if you were not happy. It is a lot more expensive than the sport but I could just not get on with the break. i also like the fact that the vibe locks closed when folded as I kept hitting myself with the front wheel when trying to lift the sport.

Voucher works for all mothercare stuff until midnight tonight so happy shopping!

Hello all!

Am useless at keeping up, have not been MN much recently. Poorly baby and fed up paint littered house. DH has been decorating the front room and dinning room. Looks nice but the hassle of a toddler and open pots of paint, nooooooooooooo

Am 30+3 today. I feel fit to burst. I have had asthma return having not had it for 8 years, an odd excema type rash appear, my SPD is back with a vengence and i have terrible insomnia. Miserable moi?

I am not really that unhappy just cant believe i feel full term at 30 weeks. Those stabbing fanjo pains have started too, anyone having those yet? You know the red hot poker shoved up your fanjo feeling. Good grief it is fantastic all this pregnancy malarky.

The girl is at least head down i think. She has been footling breech sice about 26 weeks, hard head under right hand ribs and feet in pelvis. I had visions of her staying that way like the last baby did till 39 and a half weeks. Fingers crossed she behaves.

All the home birth talk is lovely to hear I will be doing it again this time if she stays head down. I have had 3 at home (dd was a transfer in at he last minute but mostly home) fabulous experince. So lovely to have your own surroundings and bed, eat when you like and watch whatever you want. DS#4 came out in 40 minutes though so was not really going to get to hospital anyway.

Welcome to the newbies More twins!!! My twins were 10 the other day

tinkisexcitedabouthavingababy · 05/11/2008 16:40

qumps i like the cars and trucks one on next website is sweet

largeginandtonic · 05/11/2008 16:43

Tink did you think of a name yet?

qumps · 05/11/2008 19:17

thanks tink i think i am going to go for those and the train.
yay to p&t. its great. had since ds newborn and love it. break is a bugger though and have nearly lost a toe doing it in flip flops. vibe looks lush. v jealous but don't think can convince dh that we need a new one after 18 months... i get very carried away with the accessories. the latte bottles are brill when out and about when older.
poorg&t. not so much fun this preggers lark especially whne not your first. newly painted rooms sound nice though. we have the builders in but they have gone awol for a week and a half and am getting twitchy as didn't want to buy anything for baby until room done but feel i should at least have some nappies just incase! talking of which have people packed thier hospital bag yet? remember putting a book, some cards, massage oil ect in last time. wishful thinking! the thing i was most glad i had was a mars bar!!!

qumps · 05/11/2008 19:18

btw buckles lol that the mothercare code is faf!

liznay · 05/11/2008 19:41

Evening all. Feeling quite dreadful tonight extremely tired and realised that I hadn't really eaten enough all day.
midwife & doctor have both found sugar in urine at last 2 appts. but i've tested myself and its never come up? Have also bought a blood sugar tester and results never get above 5.0mml which is normal. very strange.

Is anyone else doing NCT? we went to our first class last night and everyone was really nice, hoping to meet some new friends with babies near to where I live so think it will be perfect.

Evening,

So much to catch up on!

givethedogabone i have just bought the phil &teds although mine is the sport one. I looked in the yellow pages and phoned round aload of baby shops to see if they sold it and how much. In the end i got it for £399 and that included the chair, coccon thingy, doubles kit and rain cover. It might be worth you seeing if there are any shops in your area that do a bulk buy discount for it? I don't trust the internet when spending that sort of money.

Ok so my carrot cravings are here to stay for now! I normally buy my veg from my local green groucers but today i bought a load from the supermarket because i really wanted one when out and i there was such a difference in taste! They usually taste lovely and earthy and carrotty but the ones from the supermarket didn't really taste like carrots, they were bland and too washed!

qumps · 05/11/2008 21:19

mssparkle how are you feeling? any more ains?
