Off to do some cleaning....bleurgh...

MrsHappy · 01/09/2008 12:00

Just popped in to say congratulations to DG
(It's me, scary from the 2ww thread).

Hope you and Digiboy are now at home getting to know each other. Take care.

biglips · 01/09/2008 12:01

jearund - After when i had my emergency c-section i was put on morphine drip...it didnt work at the slightest and i tried to stand up with 2 midwives under my armpits to stand me up....till a BRILL doctor gave me Voltarol tabs...it was fab!!..i was ready to go home the next day and was walking around the ward..till the tabs wore off..i suddenly went "Arrgghhhhhhhhh!!!! more tabs!!" and then suddenly i was fine again

milkbeard · 01/09/2008 12:02

girls its midday and i'm still in pj's, can't remember last time did this-oh yes when dd was newborn and didn't seem to have time to get dressed! also watching this morning which never happens

meglet · 01/09/2008 12:18

congratulations digital and deb. I hope you and the babies are well this morning .

My heartburn has come back again . You'd think it would have eased off by now! I have the rest of the day to myself as step-mum has got DS for the afternoon and they are running errands. I am going to make sure I have a nap but will do some tidying too.

I found out yesterday that DP parents aren't coming up when I am in the hospital . They will be up the weekend after next, but at least we have some space to get used to the baby. And I won't have to keep my family away from the hospital now as his family won't be invading our space.

DebiTheScott Fantastic news and what a fab weight for your boy. Congratulations!!!!!!!!.
Milkbeard Thank you. She does not cry when I carry her. Lorea is sleeping happily again after feeding for a long time in the Close baby carrier. I am so glad she loves it! Still waiting for the MW

I am still taking voltarel 3 times a day. I don't want to stop jus in case. I just realised we are in September!!!!!!!!.

Come on ladies, Who is going to have the 10lb baby? I bet is you Starlight (only joking, it is going to be Eanz, Ok I shut up, it will be mamamuffin or ,.... just having fun..Sorry...)

lollipopmother · 01/09/2008 12:35

Anyone on here having a waterbirth - What are you going to wear when you're in the pool? We were thinking that I might well get a go in the pool, and I've suddenly realised I haven't packed anything and now I'm in a serious flap and it's made me feel sick with nerves for some reason, arrrgh!!

meglet · 01/09/2008 12:41

poxtola I don't mind having a 10lb baby as I'm having a cs . Felt rather weird reading your posts last week as I knew that would be me in a week. Glad you are doing ok, I'm hoping to recover faster than I did last time. I can't stand Voltarol though, make me constipated .

notsoslimnow · 01/09/2008 12:42

potxola I really think it has to be me having the 10 lb baby - otherwise how will I justify how uncomfortable this pg has been? If they tell me it is on the small side I will just think wtf - so what was all that about then?!

kel78 · 01/09/2008 13:06

Congratulations deb and digital, soo pleased for you, cant wait to see my little one.

Potoxola- so glad the peppermint water worked for you, I swear by it I have had it on both c- sections and have a bottle packed ready for this time. Tesco sells it for all of you who also want some. It really does work for the trapped wind after the operation.

ellideb · 01/09/2008 13:08

I'm having a waterbirth lollipopmum and I'm just going to wear my bikini top and possibly bikini bottoms too.

PicknMix · 01/09/2008 13:12

Just gatecrashing to say a huge congratulations to DG and welcome to the world Digiboy!!!! . When you feel up to it you'll have to pop back to the 2ww to tell us how it all went

xx

(and congrats and/or good luck to all you other lovely ladies!)

milkbeard · 01/09/2008 13:15

going to get some RLT today-do you get this from holland and barretts? do you get tea bags or tablets, x

Bucky2008 · 01/09/2008 13:18

Yay, congratulations to DG . How fantastic. As PicknMix says, pop back and tell us all about our new cybernephew .

P.S. Sorry for gatecrashing .

izzybiz · 01/09/2008 13:20

More congrats to DG and DTS More boys to add to the list!

I will be 38 weeks on Friday, had both my older 2 children at that point! Can everyone send labour vibes that this one will be the same

lollipopmother · 01/09/2008 13:21

Thanks PicknMix!

Oh God, bottoms! I didn't think I would be allowed to wear any!

I've repacked everything, and all our bags are next to the front door, it looks like we're going on holiday!

Starlight, notsoslim, ellideb - Have you been told that your DP can get in the birthing pool too? We both think that the ante-natal woman said DP can get in, but now that I've packed for him I feel like we must have misheard.... and now I'm worried he'll be really disappointed!

ARGHHH! I can feel myself losing it today! Hormonal pregnant lady + no sleep = irrational mess! Bumpzilla!

lollipopmother · 01/09/2008 13:23

Milkbeard - I got RLT tablets from H&B, 100 tabs to a pot. It says take 6, so that's what I've been doing, although I took 3 for the first couple of days in case it made me have BH, but nothing thus far.

slinkiemalinki · 01/09/2008 13:28

Congrats Debi and Digi! EandZ ring your doc or the MWs - I have a list of things when I should call my OB, pretty sure that a fever of a certain degree is on it.
Munki I always go to John Lewis for my bra fitting (or Peter Jones) which is another option to those mentioned! Really they need to fit you but I expect I shall be down a back size up a cup size again (so to 32F/G!) Yowzer.

lollipopmum DP id quite squeamish and there is no way I could get him to come into the pool with me LOL! Not when it might be resembling a scene from Jaws! Take some deep breaths, you will be fine!

Milkbeard RLT are not meant to bring on labour,(if that's why you are taking them) just to strengthen and tone your uterus. A lot of people think they are supposed to bring it on and get dissapointed when it doesn't.

lollipopmother · 01/09/2008 13:50

Ellideb - Hahaha! I don't think either of us will be in the pool when I actually give birth, we think maybe just as pain relief but we're going with the flow. DP knows there's a possibility of the odd poo, but I don't think he's thought it through! Ahaha, it's funny actually because he's been taking the p*ss for ages about how I'm going to poo myself and now he's getting in the pool with me!

Ohhh, that has just made my day! I am sooooo not going to warn him!

Milkbeard - Wooops yes, my RLT post might have been a bit misleading - I was only expecting BH because I know some people do get them as a side effect when they take RLT, I wasn't expecting the RLT to bring on labour.

MunkiMom · 01/09/2008 13:51

potxola
i'm afraid it's probably going to be me to have the 10pounder
naaa, i don't know that of course. but it's always been a fear, seeing as
I was 10.7oz / 24 inches at birth! my poor mom didn't make it to the hosp in time for pain meds, so she had me au naturale! goodness me!

lollipop
ok, i'm sooo stealing that name from ya: Bumpzilla! (rraaaaarrr!) the hubby will luv it, i suspect.

and thanks slinkie for the added bra fitting info.

i'm at 37w now and i feel sooo unprepared!!! like never before...
i feel like im underpacked but at the same time, i'm worried about
looking silly for lugging in loads of bags ((well, DH will, not me heheh))
