Cricri - have you done yours ?
Misdee - have you done yours ?
Yorky - have you done yours ?
Toolly - have you done yours ?
Hanaflower - have you done yours ?

Anyone else not done theirs ?

I think the date was to post by Oct 11th. We may need to bring that forward, seeing as people are starting to get dates for CS's already.

For the secret stork. DH says he has 22 emails, including mine, but I counted the names on the stork thread and there are 23, so at least one person is missing.

If anyone else wants to join in.....Secret Stork Thread here

I'll get DH to give me a list of names so I can check them off against the stork thread......I'd tell him to look, but don't want him totally encroaching on my territory.

Thanks Hana. It was an idea to be able to carry ds2, but at 4, he walks a little more, but we also still use his buggy, so the idea was to sling baby as he will be smaller/lighter and push ds2. I had a tomy safari carrier bought for me when pregnant with ds1 and now he has issues with his spine and his gait is pretty weird. It may not have been the carrier, but I doubt it helped. DS2 was carried all the time, but in arms rather than a carrier or sling. He would not stop crying unless carried (not trying to scare people, he was very ill!) As ds2 got bigger, I have slinged him in an ellaroo wrap, actually was still using it in backpack carry last summer when he was 3, I strapped him to my back so I could ride my bike to the shops, LOL! Obviously breastfeeding will play an important part in our lives, so I am guessing a ring sling may be the way forward and I will just have to make the extra effort learning how to wear it comfortably

sparkletoes · 19/08/2008 16:46

I'm now really hungry after reading the recipe thread!!

LackaDAISYcal · 19/08/2008 16:48

monketmargot, am very of your lovely little bump.

I have had several comments since the weekend about how huge I look and it's starting to piss me off. Two people have said since yesterday "nearly three months to go; really; I would've said more like three weeks". Arses the lot of 'em ......and one of the comments was from a woman who had a five week old baby. I think people forget just how big you are at the end. I didn't think I was that big and certainly feel smaller than I did with DD. Problem is it's all out the front. You wouldn't even think I was pregnant from behind. I am stopping with the three months and giving it in weeks now; sounds better.

Autumnlady, I was on that thread as well, and it wasn't the elCS that people were objecting to it was her whole "i pay my taxes, I'm entitled" attitide and the fact that she only acknowledged posts from posters who were saying what she wanted to hear. She also said "I didn't ask for this advice", but erm, if you open something like that to discussion on an internet forum, you're going to get comments whether you want them or not. And as I had an elCS myself with DD, mostly for the convenience factor of DH being able to plan it into his schedule (he works away), I'm hardly in a position to judge .
Saying that, one of the women on my June thread was feeling very nervous about her birth after she had had her pelvis crushed a few years ago in a riding accident (the horse rolled over on top of her) and was being pressured into a CS managed to have a very successful vaginal birth against the judgement of her OB.

LackaDAISYcal · 19/08/2008 16:52

don't even talk about Christmas coolkat . It's cancelled in the daisy household this year. We are holding out for an invite from the PILs but they either go out or to someone elses' house.....for all MILs domestic goddess and obsessive cleaning; she doesn't ever feed people - inless it's salad and cooked chicken and salmon from M&S.

sparkletoes · 19/08/2008 17:03

That is so true Lacks, I do think people forget how big pregnant women get!

This time around I am getting mixed messages as some say I am 'neat' and others say 'god is it twins'??!!

Think it depends on the top I wear!

ChocOrange05 · 19/08/2008 17:10

Daisy and Sparkle I also thing it depends if people actually know anything - some people just like to make a comment. I find people say different things to me, the ones who have no idea about pregnancy say I am big and the ones who have kids say I am not too big - like anything with our bodies, everyone is different so don't let them get you don!

Have to share story...

As u may remember there are builders next door to us. One of them was out with a long measuring stick and DS was watching him from window and said to me 'what's he doing man?'

I told he him he was using a measuring stick... We then went outside where DS took it upon himself to shout at topof his voice (what sounded more like) "Man with big dick!!!' I just wanted to go back in and close door... forever!

ChocOrange05 · 19/08/2008 17:24

Sparkle LOVE the story - kids are great!
