A vintage japanese print minky blanket in kingsize, for MM it is then! Gee that would be pricey!

I'm sorry so many people are having problems with their hips etc. it all sounds very painful.
The thing I don't know is wether my breast wil actually go back to being the same size.. DD only really liked my right and you can still tell..at least I can

PInkyminkyohnooo · 01/09/2008 17:25

Sorry to hear that Obs.I had prjectile vomming with my last two in the third trimester it's no fun. hope it passes soon.

Oblomov · 01/09/2008 17:27

Thanks Hana. I fel nauseous all day long. But the violentness of the being sick is also awful.
I never had this at all with ds. 29 weeks , I tell yuo. God please don't let me have this allthe way till the end. I have heard some women do......

MerryMarigold · 01/09/2008 17:29

oh no obs. so sorry to hear that. for a minute I thought you had multiple sclerosis on top of the diabetes .

definitely send ds away for a bit, he will have a ball. can always say that if he is not happy then bring him back, but i have left ds that long with my parents and he has forgotten all about me!

obs, can you eat loads of mars bars and then be sick before the sugar is absorbed !

seriously though, must be very rubbish to feel sick all the time...i wonder why it is so different this pregnancy. really hope it clears up for you.

pinky, maybe I will just have a single size japanese minky to snuggle with babies on sofa.

Oblomov · 01/09/2008 17:36

Thank you Pinky and MM.
I do feel a bit off a wuss complaining about it, espec with say SPD coolkat and others, and how bad she is.
But I have had this from the beginning. But it seems to be getting more and more debilitating.
I am shocked as to how rotten it is making me feel.

Dozymare · 01/09/2008 17:37

Pinkyminky that would be FAB with Pink Pinky - what a great permanant reminder of your name as well!!!

Obs sorry to hear you are under the weather......you didn't suffer form MS in your 1st trimester did you? Is it a bug or something pregnancy related do you think??

MerryMarigold · 01/09/2008 17:45

Only 6 weeks to go obs, if you are heading for mid october. I am not surprised it is debilitating as baby must be taking any supplies you have leaving you with nothing at all. is there anything which is better at staying down?

PInkyminkyohnooo · 01/09/2008 17:54

Obs it is really horrid. If it's getting worse try to get something from the hospital to stop you vomittimg as it will wear you out, speaking from bitter experience.

Hana that mantra is very good- having had very bad HG twice and suffering bad vomitty migraines in the past, not panicking can be easier than it sounds and you do have to alk yoursefl down sometimes.

DM I have emailed you

mum2becks · 01/09/2008 18:00

ruthosaurus ceebee and vbab definately up for a south yorks meet up! Didnt realise there were a few of us

oblomov and choc sorry to hear you are both feeling unwell

As for nursery theme, i'm using the same things I had for dd which is the mothercare 'fun at the zoo' range, which is brightly coloured so think I will be just painting the walls white or a pale lemon!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 01/09/2008 18:46

m2becks that sounds like my DS's- he had the baby jungle theme, it was very cute.

I didn't so much do a nursery for DD as just a child's bedroom.

We are replacing our sofas soon and will have to get one as a sofa bed as we have no spare bedroom anyore, and the windows in my studiio mean that whoever sleeps up there has to either wake up with the dawn or wear eye pads like you get on long haul flights!

MonkeyMargot · 01/09/2008 18:54

obs and choc poor you . Hope you both feel better soon.
Hanaflower wow - chichester is lovely - I was at a wedding at Goodwood House on Saturday. It's such a gorgeous area. Lucky you!
PinkyMinky - do you have a website for your gorgeous stuff? Please could you post the link to me? Ta.very muchly.
SEX aint happening. Still. But did enjoy dancing with DH at the weekend.
Dozy Our nursery is currently our guest room - which has a red, white and blue theme. So the walls will remain off-white, the curtains are red, white and blue stripey and we have painted/bashed up white furniture etc. We don't know sex of baby, but think we can't really go wrong either way.
Hello to everyone else - can't keep up!

Dozymare · 01/09/2008 19:07

OH Monkey - red white and blue sounds lovely! I have gone for a grown up feel nusrsery (as that is what we started off) but you can get some GREAT wall stick arounds sticker thingy's to really bring the room to life....with our "other" nursery (now DS2 bedroom) we went for the jungle theme (with lilac walls!) and DS1 now has a space room......they are really long lasting as well.....

obs what is your midwife saying? Surely this is bad for your blood sugar levels as well....

merrymary I LOVE your comment to Obs about eating loads of mars bars - made me chuckle!

Wr are having warm camabert (sp and really can't be arsed to go and look at how you spell it, sorry) with celery, breaksticks and asparagus to dip in - YUM..now just waiting for DH to hurry home...

PInkyminkyohnooo · 01/09/2008 19:08

HI MOnkey well the website is still under construction really, and I've not posted half the stuff up yet, or sorted the shop out, but people keep buying things which is WONDERFUL but I'm not geting time to get the site finished!!

I have booked a very good friend for an evening next week and he's going to help me get the shop done. But there's a kind of blog thing with some of the blankets on it here.

I make little animal dolls with outfits and I'm currently fiinding a pattern I like for changing bags (for meself as much as anything) and I've ordered some terry cloth to make bibs and burp cloths backed with the fabrics too.

I'll get there eventually!

tegan · 01/09/2008 19:10

Hello ladies i need some advice.
i am now 28+1 wks and i think i have a prolapse. Sorry if tmi but when i have a no 2 ( which is a mission in itself) i feel like my under carriage is poking out and swollen. Should i mention this to mw tomorrow.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 01/09/2008 19:14

oh Tegan that doesn't sound nice, you poor love.
I think there was a lady who posted a thread with something similar a while ago, I think maybe it was some kind of infection, I would definitely get that looked at ASAP.

Oblomov · 01/09/2008 19:15

Thanks guys. I have had MS from the very beginnning, but it has got significantly worse in the last few weeks.
I am due to go to Kings tomorrow. With ds in tow, again. Oh the joys. I will talk Prof Amiel about this.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 01/09/2008 19:20

actually, looking at your post again, it's not you lady bits, is it your bum that is sore? SOunds like a nasty caes of haemarroids, they don't always bleed. Have you been a bit bunged up recently?

I would certainly go to the docs tomorrow and get it checked.

Avoid having hot baths as it can make the capillaries in your bum swell up and you'll get constpated which can cause this kind of thing when PG because of all the extra pressure.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 01/09/2008 19:25

Oblomov with any luck (thinking PMA here ) It may well be an infection- even something simpple like a bit of cystitis can make you violently sick when PG. My firend did this- she thought she was going into labour but it was a urinary infection and the docs got it all cleared up v.quick.

MerryMarigold · 01/09/2008 19:48

PMA reminded me of ChocO. Sorry forgot to wish you well with the infection, guess that is why the glands were up. Advantage is that when you are on the mend, you have a lovely, deep, husky voice...oooh, I love throat infections for that reason! (There is NOTHING to be PMA about when it comes to colds, sinus stuff or Morning Sickness).

ceebee74 · 01/09/2008 19:51

Tegan - no advice but it definitely sounds like something you should mention to your MW or GP (whichever you can talk to quicker I guess) - better to be safe than sorry.

Obs - so sorry you are feeling like sh*t - it must be so awful for you - the only thing that gets you through MS is the thought that it is going to end so I can't imagine how bad it must be for it to continue Don't feel bad about moaning on here - that is what we are here for!

All this talk about Pinkys blankets - I can't wait for mine!!

Nursery - I have toyed with the idea of redecorating the nursery but it does seem like an extravagance tbh. In the new year, DS will move into the spare room (thinking of decorating that in a jungle theme - it currently has magnolia walls and green furniture so probably would only need some stickers on so if anyone knows where to get some cool jungle stickers, let me know!). The main problem is that the spare room is our junk room (i.e. all our clothes, ironing board and just general other crap) and I have no idea where to move all that too - particularly the ironing board! The nursery is old-style Winnie the Pooh - it is painted lemon with stickers on the walls with matching curtains/lightshade and cot bumper etc - as I said, there is nothing wrong with it at all so it does seem silly to redecorate it.

I hate the thought of not having a spare room though - not that we ever have people stopping but it is just a comfort having it there iyswim.

Mum2becks - I am a honorary South Yorks person as it is my parents that live in Doncaster (I live the other side of the Pennines ). We will definitely organise something - either with or without children/babies

DH is away in Europe for a few days and I am shattered - not sure if I am coming down with the cold he had but definitely more tired than normal tonight. Treated myself to a meal for one from M&S - cottage pie with cheesy mash - yum - and then an early night for me I think. DS is also not very well - his eyes have been oozing greent gunk and are a bit puffy and red - have Mediseded him and have my fingers crossed that he is ok to go to nursery tomorrow.

Wow, that was a mammoth post wasn't it?

MerryMarigold · 01/09/2008 19:51

Hope goes well tomorrow, Obs. NOT of dragging ds along as well - hope he likes trains though. My ds has started sobbing whenever he sees my doctor and shouting "I don't want the doctor" which is a bit !

LolaBella · 01/09/2008 19:53

Hi Guys

Got back from Tenerife on Sat with a very brown bump who seemed to have a growth spurt in the sunny weather. Will have to upload a new pic of bump on hols soon. Was lovely to have a last hol with just me and dp but back to reality now with only 8 weeks (ish) to go which seems scarily near.

Quick question - my bump seems to get hiccupps at least four times a day, is this normal and is anyone else experiencing this? At least i can tell which way bub is laying when he gets them

Hi to everyone else

ceebee74 · 01/09/2008 19:55

lolabella - glad you had a good holiday . Tis perfectly normal for bumps to get hiccups - DS must have got them at least 4 times a day aswell. This bump on the other hand has not had them at all as far as I can tell.
