I have wet myself several times now - coughing and yesterday I coughed myself sick and while I had my head down the toilet I wet myself - very upset

the dts have destroyed my pelvic floor - be warned this is what number 4 does to you if you have them close together

I am 16+3!

herbgarden · 18/08/2008 20:21

Hi all.....how is everyone..

I think my pelvic floor took a hike after ds and I've had a cough for the last two weeks which makes me wee involuntarily and then cough so that I feel sick just like you oooggs - although I have thought I might need to be sick have not quite got that far..it's awful.

My ds has suddenly decided he doesn't like napping in the day so there I was hoping that he'd be having a good old kip whilst I put my feet up...no such luck. I used to get so much done when he was in bed (sky+, books - no housework !!).

Must go and finish watching eastenders.

LittleMissNorty · 18/08/2008 21:00

Hello everyone

Another one here with no pelvic floor muscles either.....and when sick has weed at the same time ...no fun with MS

I'm only up once a night for a wee this time round, but have sympathies with all of you who are up and down all night as I was like that last time. I tend to wake up around 4 - 4.30 busting, and then can't get back to sleep!

Glad the scan was good Chilledmama

MarkStretch · 18/08/2008 21:12

I went to see my friend today and she gave me a tiny tiny pair of furry baby bootees. She had bought them for her dd and by the time the weather was cold enough they were too small for her.

So technically I have not been shopping yet, but I have my first baby stuff!

dinkystinky · 19/08/2008 08:53

Wish co-sleeping would have worked for us Tink - tried it with DS and he turned out to be a co-insomniac who was much happier swaddled up in his cot! Crazy as both DH and I were co-sleepers with our parents until we were 3....

Tena lady pads are a gift from god ladies with weak/non-existent pelvic floors (used to wear them after DS when did really high impact exercise just incase any accidents happened)- may be worth a little investment...

Markstretch - congrats on the little booties! Love things like those but am sitting on my hands as boy or girl, this baby is going to be wearing all of DS's old stuff which is coming out of storage...

winemakesmummyclever · 19/08/2008 08:57

Morning, another day of grey skies and pouring rain. It was so grey and cold this morning, I honestly thought it was nearly time to put the Xmas tree up. Bah - depressing weather!

Nothing new to report here - still a bit queasy now and again, but no vomiting for a while. Am 13 weeks now. Don't have a bump at all yet, but jeans are starting to get tighter. Shall have to dig out my old mat clothes soon enough.

Have still held out against buying a doppler, despite Markstretch's tempting links!

It is our wedding anniversary this Thursday - dh has arranged a band jamming sesh in our garage for that evening. Plus, he is going to the footie on Sat pm - it just happens to be my birthday. Am making him pay (quite literally) for these indulgences by taking me to Nutters nr Rochdale and stuffing myself silly on Sat night.

Hope everyone has had a good weekend.

KazzaL · 19/08/2008 13:25

Hi Everyone - back after 4 days offline & hello to our newcomers.

Wsa extremely glad to get back to work today after friday & monday off - DS has been molar teething and been horrible all weekend and he has a cough which is making him puke - running out of sheets, blankets & sleepsuits for him now - i need some sun. His nappies need washing and I haven't chnaged our sheets & towels for weeks as it's been too wet to dry them (I refuse to have a tumble drier) My mother has been staying too, like you dinkystinky, my MIL is great I can give her a list of jobs when she comes to stay, but my mum is pathetic, luckily DH was away till sunday evening, so didn't have to entertain them both whilst coping with a puking/teething DS. She's now ill and so who knows when she'll be well enough to go home

Enjoying the relative peace & quiet of work and time to MN - I can't believe that I had 4 pages to catch up on - i'm starting to get a little bump, but most of my trousers fit (which is good as my friend whose in the Nov club has all my mat clothes)but I think I just look like I've eaten too many cakes

Must go as I've already been lunching for more than an hour

dinkystinky · 19/08/2008 14:24

KazzaL - know what you mean, this week feels like a holiday compared to my "holiday" last week!

K8y and Tcs - just copy and paste the latest version of the due date list (I updated my details this morning so not too far down this thread) and insert your details.

TinkerBellesMum · 19/08/2008 14:43

Aw Dinky, that's a shame. Did he wake at night when he was on his own?

Tink's clothes are going INTO storage tomorrow! I have bags everywhere and we need to start tidying up in case we move.

Another plug for the map! If anyone wants to be added onto the map please send me an email (my id) @ymail.com and I will send you an invite.

dinkystinky · 19/08/2008 15:47

Only woke when hungry Tink - and he was a big bubba (9lber) so was hungry several times a night for first 6 weeks then fortunately managed to wind down to just once a night for the following year....

TinkerBellesMum · 19/08/2008 16:02

That's not bad. I think half the problem is people's expectations. Sleeping through is officially classed as 4 hours and I think if more parents realised that they wouldn't get so stressed about their baby's sleeping habits.

MarkStretch · 19/08/2008 17:36

I am a horrible horrible moody cow today.

oooggs · 19/08/2008 17:42

talking of sleeping through...........

someone asked me today how I could go back to broken nights?

broken bloody nights???????????? I haven't left them yet

welcome newcomers

glad I am not the only one with the cough/wee/sick/sneeze problem

spottyshoes · 19/08/2008 17:53

Please dont stone me but I had a bit of a LOL at the whole wee thing - it was the way you all told it!! Guess I wont be laughing (without weeing) next year if I get my VBAC

Tink you have made my day! In that case my DS has slept through from day 1 I always say 9 mths as that is when he slept all night. What info do you want for the map if I email you? and how do we access it?

I'm a horrible horrible moody cowm ost days MS - I prescribe you a bath, some choc and an early night. Spotty orders Hope you feel bit better soon.

america · 19/08/2008 18:12

DH and DS are visiting MIL and I'm home alome. Bliss. I've watched TV, read 2 books, went for long lunches and walks - and slept. They've only been gone for three days but I'm already running out of things to do. Weird!

BTW, has anybody done any antenatal exercise? I'd love to do some pilates or water based thing but not sure where to find local classes...

laidbackinengland · 19/08/2008 18:56

Evening all and welcome to the newcomers.

Oogs - get those pelvic floor muscle exercises done now.... we can't have you weeing yourself left right and centre !

Another vote here for co-sleeping. Have done with all of mine, at least til I've stopped BF and they have transitioned will to theirown bed without too much trouble.

I have my mum down to stay for a couple of days and she is doing lots of cooking/helping with the kids, so DH and I are off out for Thai food at 8.00. Yum...(although I was so hungry at 6.00 I finished of the kids dinner and now fel a little full ...) I'm sure I will find space.

MarkStretch, why the sad face ??

lardybump · 19/08/2008 18:59

Hello everyone. I have been so ill. DD got a stomach bug saturday and was up all night being sick. I then got it sunday and monday and was so ill..... Much better now though..

I got my results back and they are really good.

Downs = 1:5875
Edwards = 1:14200
Patrouse (sp?) = 1:74474

So it was worth the wait after all... . I hope you are all well!!
