i was wondering if there was a little typo in your previous post!

oh, i thought it was the web bit between the thumb and forefinger - will try pressing both and see.

LoW - I am impressed that you are even thinking of star jumps.

Yes thumb point is the mound, press and hold for 3 minutes then switch to other thumb, rotate back and forth for a little bit. For me by the second thumb I was starting to feel contractions coming on. Today my contractions started without doing that but having started pressing again the contractions have gotten stronger. Nothing to jump for joy over yet but very hopefully as they've been going on for a few hours....stronger and stronger each hour.

oooh, foot squeezing sounds abit easier - is this to get labour going or have I misread?

ooh TS - fingers crossed for you, you have been so incredibly stoic through this, I would have been climbing the walls by now.

LoW, yes - def easier than starjumps at this point.

Evening ladies. It's 8:45pm and I'm still having mild contractions. That's even after eating dinner and taking a really wonderful shower. Maybe they'll keep going through the night and I'll get lucky and give birth. Don't worry though as I promise not to be off line for too long no matter what the reason. Good night!!

Morning all. Have just got back from seeing doctor - LWFH I also have weekly visits from 36 weeks with CTG monitoring.

Worryingly the babies heartbeat dipped quite dramatically just after I had a contraction. Doctor did a scan but everything else was ok but I have to go back in tomorrow morning. If the same thing happens she will induce me as I am 2cm dilated apparently. I am terrified now as I had fully expected to go to at least due date if not past it (a first timer after all). It will also be my DH's worst nightmare as we know it will be really busy tomorrow as the chinese are so superstitious about dates and numbers (a sweeping generalisation I'm sure).

Sorry about the me me me post - fortunately I don't suppose too many of you are up (at least I hope not).

Really don't have anything to report here. Don't know if I woke up because I'm uncomfortable (which I am) or because MIL television was blaring to loudly. Contractions are still only mild and without rhythm but cervix area feels funny (sorry don't even begin to know how to describe it). I'm taking some Tylenol and heading back to bed (aka the SOFA).

Good morning all, anyone for tea - normal or RLT available. I am going to have a biscuit as well seeing as for me it's not really first thing in the morning as (once again) I have not slept! (no surprises there)

Thanks all. Not feeling much else unusual so maybe she'll just let me wait until things happen naturally. She said it may even have been because I was lying on my back when they took the trace. So tomorrow may be a false alarm! Anyway Ann will take you up on the tea offer.

Ah Lcy welcome to the insomniacs corner. I too am drinking RL tea, and eating chocolate biscuits. I'm still hungry though. I've been in and out of bed like a jack in the box all night. Don't know why I bother really.

Me too AnnVan - i seem to wake up on the hour, every hour. I am starving at the moment - after dinner yesterday i had a bowl of cereal and two rounds of toast. Hoping it is a sign that i am building up energy for labour
