poppy she is a wee cracker (had a nosey at the link your dh sent ) and I think will suit either Alice or Emily beautifully - both lovely classic timeless names
glad you're doing ok, you only have to shout if I can help you with anything

petitfilou am pleased to report the old man has made an appt to see Dr tomorrow and as far as I'm aware he doesn't have angina - probably has everything else but not that my brother is in on it now and will be raiding the cupboard to see what it is he's taking - brother lives in next village as opposed to 2hrs away like me

I think ladies THINK that we have turned a bf corner - am saying no more incase I jinx it

sazzles when dd2 was born my aunt brought dd1 in later on that day to visit but needless to say after a hellish long labour and emcs, I was still off my face on morphine and kept falling asleep - not the best of visits this time it was the day after so I'd had my shower etc

so, today I've made it out of the house having been holed up in my bedroom since I came home dh, Dylan and I went to Tesco lol

big step for me considering my pathetic anxiety issues but managed it no problem - chocolate cake all round

AnnVan · 11/08/2008 15:05

I just fancied one pf made me feel better though!

PetitFilou1 · 11/08/2008 15:16

dizzy you sound cheerier today which is good. I'll keep an eye out for a post on your dad's meds. dh has already asked if I want the laptop set up in the bedroom after I've given birth so that I can carry on MNing

SKYTVADDICT · 11/08/2008 16:30

Have added some piccies of new arrival to my profile

FoghornLeghorn · 11/08/2008 16:45

Poppy lovely to hear everything went so well
Dizzy Glad you're coming out the other side of the bf dilema and you made it to Tesco

Been out all afternoon trying to keep occupied but still zilcho

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 11/08/2008 16:46

Good for you getting out Dizzydixies
Hope your brother manages to find something.
Chocolate cake sounds good
I have been for my first reflexology session today was wonderful. Was a bit sore when she touched on the back spine neck areas (as have bad back)
Also on the old bowel area too.
My sister has taken dd for the night so I can rest.
However I have just been baking dusted, hoovered, mopped floors and am itching to inflate this pool to see what its like.
But dh is painting the conservatory and wants me to wait.

Do we think this could be the nesting kicking in???

Quite shocking for me as I am not domesticated
Sat here having quite a few Braxton H.

Missing dd already feeling guilty

FoghornLeghorn · 11/08/2008 17:13

Strong BH sound good No1 I have been tempted to try reflexology but I don't think anything is going to budge this baby !

Please someone tell me what these stabbing fanjo pains are ?????? ARRRGGGG they are horrendous, the whole time we were out this afternoon I felt like the baby was clawing it's way out, I bent over a couple of times to pick DD2 etc and could barely move. DH thought I had gone into labour in toys r us

ChaCha · 11/08/2008 17:17

typing with left hand - sorry for typos

massive congratulations to you all who@ve had babies and fingers x'd for everyone else.

sazzles - all the best for tomorrow. i had a 2 day stay in hospital and had DH bring the kids a couple of hours after - i really wanted to see them and 15 mins was just enough. didnt see tem till i went home then.

TS - can u start a pn thread for us with list of those whove had babies? wd lv 2 post somewhere about b/f etc..

hv been sat here for ages so will go but congrat once again ladies xx

PetitFilou1 · 11/08/2008 17:55

fhlh I think the pains are just the baby's head putting pressure on your cervix - ds2 is doing the same. It makes me stop and draw breath at times!

hi chacha

Oops fell asleep on the sofa. Woken up by DP's sister asking me what to get him for his birthday. I haven't bought anything yet. will have to brave a trip to bluewater methinks I hate shopping centres normally, but they're a hundred times worse when pg.

Gah I'm obviously still stuck in misery mode.

Good luck for tomorow SazzlesA what happens then. what time do you go in?

oopsacoconut · 11/08/2008 18:10

AAAHHHH Annvan I am with you on the misery mode.

Absolutely no particular reason why, I sick of being at home want to go back to work, DH went to the gym this evening instead of going to Costa for coffee with me as I was bored! (cue tears) I want to go to the gym too and for a run. Swimming has become boring, Everyone else is at work so can't come out and play. I and bored and lonely, if ONE more person tells me to enjoy being at home and take it easy - I WILL EXPLODE AND VAPOURISE THEM!

Hi Chacha SAZZLES Good Luck for tomorrow hope it all goes well and your little one arrives safe and sound tomorrow. (sends ward clearing vibes)

DIzzy pleased you managed an outing and it went well.

FHLF sending

Sending {{{{{sleepy vibes}}}}} to all nocturnal babies and > to everyone needing them.

oopsacoconut · 11/08/2008 18:11

NNNNOOOO didn't kip on Annvan's sofa - it's too smart and new for that - I might have dribbled on it!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 11/08/2008 18:15

Braxton hicks still going on, think will move to all fours position, seem to remember it helping last time.
God forgot how bloody uncomfortable they are

Annvan Don't fret, I'm still in misery mode too !

I have had so many phone calls today, my mum has called twice, my brother once, DH's SIL once, DH's brother once, DH's other brother once, plus 2 text messages and countless messages on facebook AARRRGGGGGGGGGGGGG

FoghornLeghorn · 11/08/2008 18:30

HELLO!

Just returned from an outing (basically alone) to the doctor and Target and my FAVORITE restuarant.

DH attended my appointment with me this morning. Doctor was [shocked] by my Sunday maternity trip tale. After I explained everything in great detail, he said THAT NURSE GAVE YOU A SWEEP! He was a little miffed firstly because she didn't tell me that's what she was doing and secondly she's not qualified to make those kind of decisions. He had plans to offer it to me today but seeing how I reacted to it (I'm still in lots of pain without much progression) he said we'd skip it....AND I AGREED!!! I think there's a nurse who might be in trouble now. Anyway, we discussed induction. Seems anyone can request an induction BUT for the outcome to be vaginal delivery some key criteria should be met first....as of 10am I don't meet all the criteria and since I WANT a VB we opted to postpone that idea for now. I am officially 39+2. The baby is positioned well and probably weighs about 7.5lbs. My numbers (which i know mean squat to ya'll) are 2cm dialated, 50% effaced and -1 station. My effacement has increased but my station has moved backwards but only slightly (nothing to be alarmed by). My waters broke naturally with DD1 at 2cm/80%/-2 so things could still go naturally for me any moment now. Fingers crossed. All in all I am very happy about the visit and feel silly for sitting with DH in the parking lot crying before we went in.

Comment on the water break time line: The doctor told me today, he would only allow me 18 hours from water break to delivery otherwise it would be a CS.

Comment on the cervix pains: I HAVE THEM TOO!!! Very uncomfortable. Stabbing and Scratching sensations.

Hi everyone,

Not been on the thread for ages but just had a lovely time catching up.
Can't believe so many babies are here already, congratulations to everyone.

No baby for me just yet, tonnes of braxton hicks and period pain, stabbing pains and pressure but nothing to write home about.

Will check in lots more now i'm on maternity leave and see how you're all getting on.

Stickybean

TwilightSurfer · 11/08/2008 18:56

ChaCha I don't want to be rude but I don't want to take on another thread at the moment. Discussions took place about a post natal thread but to keep things simple a combo thread was created, thus the ante-natal/post-natal title. Those of us who haven't had babies yet totally enjoy (and need) the info/news/problems the popped ladies have and the popped ladies like that we're keeping our friendships alive with encouragement in these final days.

That said, I will not be offended one bit if you begin a August 2008 post natal thread. You can copy and past the deliveres section from the stats list or make your own. I really hadn't thought about keeping up the secretarial end of things once all the babies were delivered anyway. Right now it's just a wonderful pasttime while in LIMBO.

If you do move on to a postnatal thread, please don't forget about us and visit often.

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 11/08/2008 18:58

Sazzles, I think all will go perfectly for you tomorrow. There will be no delays and the delivery will be quick and painless. {{{{HUGS}}}} Now no worries!! Enjoy your last meal.
