Emma - please don't worry about stress and your baby. I have a lovely dd who arrived safe and sound after I had gone through a lot of stress. Mostly work stuff (working late and having to pretend that I felt fine just to "show face"), working until 2 weeks before she was born and moving house at the same time - ugh!
hedgewitch please don't feel horrible. When I was pregnant with dd ALL of my close friends had lost a baby or something bad had happened. I thought there was no way I could be one of the lucky ones, but I was.
it is so natural to worry about your scan. I am worried, but I have decided that what will be will be. I think I am more worried about going through what sunnydale is going through. That must be so tough. I know she will do what is right for her and her family and I hope she comes back here for support whatever she decides to do.
hedgewitch, don't feel you have to post at the moment - come back in a few weeks once everyone has had their scans and we're all hitting the 2nd trimester. Hopefully we'll all be giddy from the happy hormones by then. No-one will mind if you sneak away for a bit - the most important thing is to look after yourself.
Glad you got a good result fififlores. I know what you mean about men. But I have to say that my dh was under a huge amount of stress at dd's birth. So much so that I am taking his feelings into account in considering an elective section this time.
He still gets very worried about dd and I catch him sneaking into her room in the middle of the night to check she is still breathing. He's even had to wake her up just to make sure.
