Sorry not been on in a while busy getting back in the routine of kids being back at school!
According to the date i got from my gp based on lmp i am 11 weeks today but the early scan I had i would be ten today so I hace a couple of questions (ecen hough this is no 4
Firstly will they change my due date by a week based on the early scan? They did this with ds and he was a dat late but midwife said he looked almost 2 weeks late he was covered in hair had really long nails and the placenta had started to deteriorate, so I would rather keep my original date.
Also I do not have a date for my scan yet and wondering if they have forgotten me?! When did you all get your scan dates through?
Sorry if I seem stupid just can't seem to remember how these early stages work!

Lollopopz, my MW booked my scan during my booking in appointment but its different depending on your area. Perhaps its worth calling your GP practice and checking?

Also, I think normally an EDD will get adjusted if they think its a week out but won't if its just a couple of days.

My DS was adjusted back a week which I was really sceptical about 1st time around, but having spent alot of time on the ttc boards for this one and knowing my cycle much better, I think they were right as I ovulate much later than the traditional day 14!

We get our scan at our booking in appointment here its all done at the hospital at around 12 weeks. I will give them a wee phone at the end of the week if I haven't heard from them!
I just feel funny about making my edd any later because of what happened with ds! But will wait and see what happens at 12 wk scan when i eventually get it!

Hi ladies - I've got my dating scan tomorrow and am beginning to feel really nervous. I'm 13 weeks and so far have been fairly casual, what will be will be, etc, but now I'm really wishing it could just be over as I'm beginning to think about the possible outcomes just a little too much!

Hey ladies. Am having the same clothing 'situation' - today I wore my work maternity trousers from the last time, and they kept slipping down and dragging at my ankles. All my jeans are too tight for out of work and maternity stuff just still too big!!

I've noticed tho today that I'm starting to get a pain in my hip towards my groin which suggests the SPD is making a come back. I really don't know how I'm going to manage as I have to run out the door to PT work at 7.15am to get DD2 to nursery and then I have to rush for train, and then when I get into town, I have ten minutes to get to my desk and then the same all the way back again. All while sick, exhausted and increasingly sore. I don't know how I'm going to manage this as the time goes on as I will be waddling like buggery....

If I was only having to do three days or something I could cope, but it's every bloomin day. Sorry, whinge over.

How exciting, I'm kind of jealous of you all hat have had/ are having your scans his week. Mine's on the 8th Sept, when I'll be exactly 12 weeks pregnant... who would've thought time could go so slowly eh? Can't shake off the feelingthat something's going to go wrong... but we'll see.

I actually bought a doppler on ebay yesterday... so at least am hoping I'll be able to hear HB but think it may be a long shot at 10-11 wks (plus theres a fait bit of skin between me and bubba iykwim)

Hello all, I haven't been around much as I got married on Friday. Managed to get away with one glass of champagne and hopefully no one noticed - we are keeping it quiet for the time being. Good luck with everyone's scans. I do not have mine until I am 13 weeks - another 3 weeks to go... Anyone else suffering very sore and growing boobs Must sort out some new bras soon!!

Well it has been a crazy morning. I did grocery shopping, visiting with my sil and helping her pack because they are moving this month,and then off to the midwife. The ultrasound was good, she was running behind today because of an emergency earlier so it was very fast, but the bean was in good position right away so it didn't cause any problems. There is just one bean in there, it has a heartbeat of about 163 (never had that before with the other two) and nuchal measurement looked good she said.

Then off to the midwife. I didn't gain any weight yet, which makes me happy because with the other two I gained 20 pounds by this point. Urine was good, bp was good. Then off for bloodwork. If I hear nothing that means good results. Then I flew home unloaded the car, put a beef stew in the slow cooker, and after I'm done on MN I'm going to make a Strawberry-rhubarb pie.

I'm tired just thinking about today.

Oh and my new due date is March 8th.

I forgot to mention that I woke up this morning with my shirt soaked and my sheets soaked too. It's like I lactated in my sleep or something. With ds2 I started leaking at 19 weeks, but this is ridiculous.

Congratulations on getting married becko, I hope you both had a lovely day. Yes, sore boobs here too but not as bad as 4 weeks ago.

Yes to sore boobs i can't bear my clothes touching them . Unfortunley dd2 seems wants cuddles all the time as she cutting her top 2 teeth and it huts.

MKG isn't there an old wife tale about the heartbeat denoting the sex of the baby. But i can't remember which way round it is though.

Congrats Becko--I need to catch up before I post.

Lizzie-I think that if it's faster it's a girl and if it's slower it's a boy.

Mandy- I think I am. My friend started leaking at 12 weeks so I guess it is possible.

Morning All - yep to sort boobs. unfortunately they don't seem to growing a huge amount though (they are completely wrecked after bf DS1! - was hoping this pregnancy may get them back to normal proportions!!).

Becko - huge congrats. So many exciting things happening for you! What a year you are going to have! Enjoy every minute.

MKG - Glad all went well at midwife, it must be such a relief. I still have to wait another two weeks until I see anyone - I'm in Italy, I couldn't even get an appointment to see anyone in Rome until end of Sept, so am travelling for 5 hours up to the mountains (where I am resident) to have my appointments!

Like many others - I am still sure I am going to get to the scan and they won't find anything there! Although the tummy growth suggests otherwise (but I am eating ALL the time!).

Hi everyone, and congrats to becko!

I'm whinging today. I got the date for my scan through, and it's not for another month. I'll be just a couple of days short of 15 weeks. It's a long, long time to wait. Grrrr.

I think the scanning dept here must be overloaded or something.

I had my booking in appointment yesterday, and I was asking the midwife who I can contact and what happens if anything goes wrong with the pregnancy, and she told me I would have to wait up to 2 weeks for a scan if I had any bleeding. Can you imagine? Last pg I got a scan within a couple of days when I was really worried and upset. I can't believe you have to wait so long at the moment.

Not been posting much due to MS and being really busy at work.

MS def starting to ease a bit now and I am beginning to feel part of the human race again.

Becko - Congratulations on your wedding.

Glad to read about so many successful scans. Had my 12 week nuchal yesterday night. Pushed me back from 12+4 to 12+1, which tbh I expected. Everything looked good, baby was kicking away like mad and nuchal fold measurement was 1.5, which I'm told is well within normal range. Just got to wait 3 weeks for the results of the bloods now, although I'm not worried as the scan looked good and I am 26, so my odds should be pretty low, certainly too low to justify an amnio I would have thought.

Captain - can't believe you have to wait so long! Mind you I did go for my booking in apt at 6 weeks as I wanted to get the ball rolling and it took me weeks to get a definate scan date, so who knows how long the wait would have been if I hadn't booked in early.

well, I didn't think I was showing that much (am 13+1), until someone offered me their seat on the tube this morning!! Maybe it was the dress I was wearing and the way I was standing...but it was still a bit of a shock. suppose I'd better get used to it...

in response to sore boobs question - mine have only just started to ache...didn't have anything in the early weeks but they're much more tender now. And it's getting pretty close to the point where I'm going to have to upgrade. Am growing out of my 'big' bras already. But on the plus side, MS much less of a problem and even feel like I'm getting some energy back. what a relief!

Haven't posted in aaaaaaages due to being struck down with hyperemesis and feeling like death. Am v gradually feeling better, but still not able to stand for longer than about two mins as so weak, and still living on crumpets.

Is lovely to read about scans, and congrats to Becko on getting married - v exciting!

Have got our second scan on Friday (will be 12 weeks) which am quite nervous about, but hope that things will be okay. Good luck to anyone having their scan in the next few days, hope they go well!

Re clothes issue, am dreading trying on my clothes - have been living in my PJ's since I came out of hospital a few weeks ago! Am suspecting things might be a wee bit tight round the waist

Morning Ladies!

RE sore boobs, my nipples have been sore since almost day dot!! So DP has had 3 months of them being a no-go area! Also, I have my nipple pierced which I think is making it worse! I always said I would take it out when I got pregnant, but for some reason I can't bring mself to because 1: I really like it and 2: I still think something is going to go wrong and then I will be left with no piercing and no baby! I need some sense slapping into me!! I said I would take it out after firt scan if everything was okay...but because at scan I was only 10+3 in my head that means there is another week and a half for things to go wrong before the 12 week "safe" mark! I actually think I am going to drive myself insane until either 20wk scan or bump starts growing!

I've just treated myself by finishing off last night's apple crumble And I've made a resolution to really enjoy the rest of my pregnancy now my mind has been put to rest.
