VG Btw yes to cocktail sausages - containing plenty of iron, carbs, protein and salt (which is obviously much needed today to stave off salt loss due to dehydration) - are you persuaded?

have clearly selected the perfect meal for a growing woman! Well done, me.

Hi TS how are your BHs today?

VintageGardenia · 28/07/2008 18:37

Good sazzles and good you got your electrickery back too!

pf thanks for the jolt of realism, am so glad about the doves and harps. Some people can be such scaremongerers.

TwilightSurfer · 28/07/2008 18:46

OMG how on earth am I to comment today....

Dizzy you are in my thoughts today.

Hi to all those returning.

Captain glad you're getting to escape.

Jenny !!

Geez.....I know there was more I wanted to say.

As for me, doc said I'm still contracting DUH!! The baby is lower. BUT I'M NOT DIALATING (i know i spelled that wrong). However the cervix check has left me cramping and spotting so MAYBE it will get the ball rolling. I left the office in tears just because I wanted to be farther along. The lady that checked out before me will be induced at 5AM tomorrow morning. She was all smiles. I wanted to punch her!!!

That's about it other than I too had a HORRIBLE NIGHT with little sleep and much discomfort.

Someone please remind me this is for a good cause.

TwilightSurfer · 28/07/2008 18:47

I'm going to try and nap now. I promise to be back before everyone goes to bed this evening.

dancerandprancer · 28/07/2008 18:52

Good luck lucy. Babies coming thick and fast now!!

Just starting to think about hospital bag. What ie everyone else doing, one bag or two. Last time I just packed one bag with everything in it for me and bubs. Is it easier to have a seperate bag for baby or not. Any thoughts??

dancerandprancer · 28/07/2008 18:54

I mean Jenny. Was just talking to friend on the phone called Lucy! Scatty pregnancy hormones is my excuse.

BabiesEverywhere · 28/07/2008 19:03

Just wanted to share my good news, I have tested negative for Group B Strep !!!

This is great news as I was told I was positive last pregnancy and I was worried about the effect on this pregnancy.

Yippee

Sibh · 28/07/2008 19:05

Albs --it's lovely to hear from you. I find the first few nights difficult for sleeping too, and the cluster feeding is very draining.

Glad things are working out better for you CC. And thinking of Dizzy today too.

Jenny that's very exciting! I'm with FL on the waters breaking thing -- it's happened twice, and not sure how I'd get my act together without the shot across the bows.

And a bag of fortitude for gigglegirl too. The TV ban is a bit of a double-edged sword isn't it, but DS got a ban for today and has been much better for it. Can you use an audiobook to buy yourself 20 minutes peace at some stage? We seem to have got about a million free ones via newspaper offers lately. DS had earned it by 2pm and I couldn't keep standing up any longer.

My DC have been lovely to each other today -I'd started to forget that was possible after a really dodgy few weeks and for the last few days every bit of conflict has set of BHs so it made life much nicer ... Oddly enough, a bout of rain and some bog-standard pottering around the house made them really happy. I'll pin up the posters from our 'pants designing competition' in whichever of our multiple corners would be most appropriate).

Can I have the birth VG and PF are having by the way?

oopsacoconut · 28/07/2008 19:29

Hi All

Had a fantastic day until 30 mins agowhen dh became an arse. We had an amazing lunch out - although some things were just too strange for even my pregnant tastes. Tapioca with frogs legs mage me wretch (and that was only reading the menu). Then went into town and bought breastpump - Boots have 20% off the avent ones - just got a hand pump as my friend recommended it for bits and pieces expressing rather than expressing for storage if going to work. Also got some cute baby clothes in larger sizes in M&S final reduction sale all only £3 each.

Is labour not like PF described? If not I want out.

TS are you having fun teasing us all then not turning up with a baby???

Was going to make DH carbonara for dinner but now he can get stuffed!! Just had some digestives with lovely Ikea pickles on mmmmm.

oopsacoconut · 28/07/2008 19:30

Forgot to say Hi ALBS and Henry

CaptainCaveman · 28/07/2008 19:45

Home safe and sound - and what a bonus...whilst waiting for my mum to come and pick me up, a research mw asked if she could do something to me which involved sticking electrodes on me for an hour to monitor mine and babies heartbeat. Totally non-invasive and non-harmful. For the privledge of lying on the bed for an hour (and napping I must admit) I got a £20 Boots voucher. How cool is that?!

Feeling HUGE today. Jerry feels like he is busy doing star jumps in there so I have asked him to try and break his bag of waters whilst he's at it

How exciting for those of you in labour. HOw unexciting for those of us who aren't . Still, not long now eh> **

MrsMagooo · 28/07/2008 20:01

Evening all - another scorcher today eh?!

Anyone else melting beyond recognition??

Sazzles Didn't end up asleep in the garden last night although it was very tempting lol Have you got your sat back?? Bless your DD being so brave re the thunder/lightening

Dizzy Sending you lots of {{{{hugs}}}} & prayers.

Oops Did you have a nice swim?? Bet it's gorgeous to just float about in the water!!

ChaCha How did your pre-section assesment go??

CC Soooo pleased to hear consultant said you could go home PMSL @ your PJs exposing your breasts

Cyteen Hope you get your HB ounds like you've had a full day!!

AnnVan sorry you had a popp nights kip! Probably teaching you to suck eggs but plain natural yogurt is fab for haertburn!

Miamla Fabo on doing some more nursery painting, lol & DH re shirts

Giggle I would be rocking in a dark corner by now so I take my hat off to you!!

Jenny How are you going - getting any strong contractions? Good luck

VG How are your feet now??

Albs Lovely to read your update

TS sending dilation vibes your way!!

I have decided to will E out with positive thinking - getting some very strong BHs & back ache so fingers crossed he's listening to me & getting ready to pop out (oh how I wish he would just pop as opposed to having to be pushed

Keep eyeing up the cold frosty beers in the fridge.......

MrsMagooo · 28/07/2008 20:03

Sorry - hello to anyone I've missed!!

PetitFilou1 · 28/07/2008 20:25

PF gets the broom out and starts to sweep up (in TS's absence)

OP posts:
AnnVan · 28/07/2008 20:48

Ooh Mrs >
Also thanks for the tip about natural yoghurt, I will have to get some.

CaptainCaveman · 28/07/2008 20:51

guaranteed way to send you into labour - get pissed. You are bound to go into labour if you drink a skinfull, then you would have to rock up to maternity pissed as a newt. Of course, your child may also get taken into care but worth a shot . Desperate times call for desperate (double) measures

CaptainCaveman · 28/07/2008 20:52

And my ankles seem to have stayed behind in hospital . Jolly fat effing feet have returned...

CaptainCaveman · 28/07/2008 20:53

And I seem to have picked up a cold....

CaptainCaveman · 28/07/2008 20:53

Atishooooo.
did anyone ever break their waters by sneezing?

PetitFilou1 · 28/07/2008 20:56

Pf puts broom away temporarily....

CC Maybe just try speaking to lo severely in best nurse in charge voice

OP posts:
CaptainCaveman · 28/07/2008 20:59

I've had words, prayed, more words, more prayers... I do think he will come out with a hand print on his head where I keep shoving his head out of my ribs

CaptainCaveman · 28/07/2008 21:06

Got to go and rest with feet up before they turn into balloons and I float away
