Morning!

Ray, good luck with your scan.

Elkie, thinking of you, such a difficult thing to get through. Have you got any affirmation cds to help with positive thoughts?

Chef, I think those 3D things look amazing (but a bit freaky too).

rrrayray · 23/07/2008 09:30

Thanks for all the luck, i am VERY Excited, had trouble getting to sleep last night i was so excited (which is uheard of at the moment- So tired!)

But also sort of had one eye open as one of my best friends was induced with her bubba on monday evening, but STILL no baby. She is pulling her hair out

Will let you know how scan goes & hopefully put piccies on later!!

MsSparkle · 23/07/2008 09:31

Wow Mel, those pictures are great! I have never seen scan pictures of twins before! How amazing

I'm glad to hear everyone is starting to feel movements, it's so exciting isn't it. It feels like everything is starting to happen now. In the last couple of weeks i have gone from not looking pregnant to have a growing bump!

I'm taking dd to the beach today, i'm very lucky because it's withing walking distance! So dd is running around the house at the moment excited and stark naked so the sun block absorbs in

LenniEd · 23/07/2008 11:13

Mel - the scan pictures are amazing! I like the way they are all tucked up on the first one like they are riding in a Phil and Teds!

Elkiedee - am thinking of you.

We are hosting playgroup tomorrow - it moves round peoples houses during school holidays since we can't bear to go without it for 6 weeks. Need to do some serious cleaning and go and buy some biscuits - but what am I doing - catching up on MN! Aaaarrrggghh!

Hi

Mel, fantastic scan pictures!

Am feeling a bit low today after being awake nearly all night with hip and symphysis pubis pain. Had spd from 16 weeks both times before, but was insanely hoping not to get it again.

Actually I think I may have set it off myself with all the manic cleaning and reorganising I've been doing. In particular I have discovered the layout of the laundry is forcing me to twist and side step a bit to get the washing out and that's when I first noticed it hurting, DH says we will reorganise it to get round the problem so hopefully that will help.

Have had a fair bit of movement now, this baby certainly knows which positions it does/n't like me to sit or lie in . Feels like swishing movements with the odd little thump thrown in for good measure, nothing major but feels very different to wind etc. (Has anyone else looked at the youtube videos of baby bumps moving about - I remember that feeling from last time, weird to think that'll be us in a few weeks time!)

We are off on a camping holiday on Monday (I must be mad). Its not as bad as it sounds though as we have a vw camper with a full size, really comfy double bed in the back and have also invested in a super-duper inflatable sofa bed so I can escape into the awning if I need to.

Good luck for your scan rray.

Elki, will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Chocsolot · 23/07/2008 12:33

Good luck today rray

Well done on getting your tube seat FLF, i have got huge since telling people at work two weeks ago (its as if it knows its Ok to grow out now!) but at lest that means i have managed tube seats for every day but one for he last two weeks.... i have that pained pregnant look down to perfection now and i find it helps if you rub your bump..... good luck commuting!

buckles · 23/07/2008 14:08

May I have a moan?
My DH has gone away today for 12 weeks and I feel fed up.
Moan over- thanks.

tinkisagracefulshamu · 23/07/2008 15:20

wow buckles that is a long time is anyone going to stay with you for any of it

buckles · 23/07/2008 15:31

I have my mum coming for a long weekend and then her and my dad for a few days. can't really moan as I have really good friends who will all look after me and about a million hen do's and weddings to go to to keep me out of trouble!

I think DH os more upset than me as he will miss the second scan and first movements etc. On the other hand he will come back to a pregnant looking wife rather than just a slightly pudgy one.

tinkisagracefulshamu · 23/07/2008 15:35

thats not to bad then glad that you are going to be kept busy and looked after

buckles · 23/07/2008 15:38

thank you, that is very kind.

rrrayray · 23/07/2008 15:47

Buckles- Poor You having no DH for so long. I hope you manage to fill it with lots of YOU time, and time with girlfriends etc.

I am possibly in the Smuggest mood my scan went Soooo well, i am totally besotted with Bean.I think we either woke bean up, or she/he hiccupped as suddenly it jumped on the screen, and then proceeded to Suck its thumb! Too cute to see.

Feeling a bit drained after having had half my blood stolen, but will try and put the picture on. Slightly disapointed with the picture, given that the scan was so clear. nevermind.

tinkisagracefulshamu · 23/07/2008 15:55

scan is gorgeous

Periwink · 23/07/2008 16:02

Buckles - 12 weeks ..... glug! it sounds like you will be keeping busy.

rrrayray - the scan is fantastic and I thought the pic was quite clear.

moosemama · 23/07/2008 16:04

rrrayray glad you enjoyed the scan. Picture is lovely.

Buckles, what a long time to have to be apart, especially when you are pregnant. You can come and moan any time you feel the need.

buckles · 23/07/2008 16:47

Thanks ladies- trust me I will moan! I am such a grumpy old trout when he goes away, honestly you would think that I had never lived on my own. Must give self a hood talking to.

Lovely to see your scan Ray- something to make me smile!

Chocsolot · 23/07/2008 17:28

Buckles that is horrendous.... my DH did that last year, he went to india for 3 months with work and it was bad enough to cope with it without being pregnant, let alone what you must be going through now, my heart goes out to you.

Its good your mum is comign up. Have lots of girlfriends to stay at weekends to look after you and good luck

tinkisagracefulshamu · 23/07/2008 17:32

i hate it when dh goes away for one night or a few days let alone that long. dont like being alone especially @ night in bed

rrrayray · 23/07/2008 17:48

i hate Oh being away too, although with the restless nights sleeps i have been having recently, the bed to myself sounds rather appealing.

Next Scan Scheduled for Sep 18th.... Time is going to fly between now & then for sure!!

Be Thinking of you Buckles, makesure you fill your time with friends, and family, and also, do all the things Dh hates. Mine wont Eat Mac Cheese, despite me loving it, Hates marmite, wont come near me if i've been near it, The list goes on! Makesure to max out on doing things he doesnt like!!! Especially in the food department!

xx

buckles · 23/07/2008 18:26

the glutton eats everything except anchovies(!) so that is out, however the thought of starting at the beginning of the box set of Sex and the City for the 10th time and not being moaned at does sound appealing.... suddenly it does not seem so bad!

Chocsolot · 23/07/2008 19:12

I do see your point.... DH went from being away a couple of nights a week and the odd long stint to working back in london 5 days a week to just doing india trips for the odd week a couple of times a year and i must say I love him being around but i do love my odd weeks of really tacky TV, eating what i want when i want to and having the bed to myself and to be honest the house is always so much tidier.... how do they make so much mess when they work such long hours so are hardly here..... they are funny beings [grins]. We miss them so much but i guess every cloud has a silver lining if you look hard enough.

Keep your chin up buckles and enjoy snuggling up with the whole duvet to yourself

EachPeachPearMum · 23/07/2008 19:57

mel- scan is lovely- I love that they're both facing the same way!

Buckles- thats really tough- at least you can rest loads without any moaning to be more energetic!

chefswife · 23/07/2008 20:00

argh!!! so much for sleepy suburbia. blasting is going to start across the road this week for two new lots with where boringly outrages wasted space type houses are to be built. not looking forward to it. i want to move soon but it's cheap living at my uncles... even though he is irritatingly peculiar and lazy.

chefswife · 23/07/2008 20:01

outrageous i mean

fourlittlefeet · 23/07/2008 20:38

box set of sex and the city sounds like a plan!

ray I love your scan pic, I think its great! Is that us all scanned now, or are there more to come?

chef, you'll have to buys ome ear plugs!
