Also, just wondering if Ooops gets on a lot? I saw her name on the stats list but haven't seen any posts from her.....

elkiedee · 05/08/2008 20:13

Oooggs has actually joined Feb 2009 list although she's due on 30 Jan - think she posts more on April 2007 though (how I know her as that's when ds was due too).

LenniEd · 05/08/2008 20:19

Welcome lovelyveg - love the name.

Am also still tired, no idea how many weeks I am - maybe 16ish?? Need to keep better track! Am still being sick which is my main gripe, but at least not as often.

On the boobs I was a 34/36D before I got pregnant with DD and went up to an E cup and never went back down really - not very happy about that! Am in a 36E right now but am starting to feel like I'm squeezing into it a bit so looks like I'll have to go bigger soon, but just can't face DHs face, why do men go all 'carry on film' when you mention bra sizes??

Haven't seen Oops about in ages and ages - not since quite early on. I hope everything is ok.

FLF - I am falling in love with DD all over again too - although I will love her more once DH has installed the cupboard locks I have tried explaining to her that I put things in cupboards because I don't want to look at them, but she is convinced cupboards are there to be emptied.

MsSparkle · 05/08/2008 21:33

Evening all,

Isn't it lovely that there is somewhere everyone can express their doubts and fears and have lots of other people understand because we are all going through the same thing together

I have my 20 week scan next Thursday (14th) and it's exciting!

MrsMagpie · 06/08/2008 12:52

Afternoon! Have decided to be a total pregnancy cliche and am munching on mini pickled gherkins at my desk. Ummmmmm. Have also just bought shares in Waitrose fruit section. Thought i would make a fruit salad and think i have bought enough to feed a footie team!

Chocs I am totally crazy and i've always been this way only now all the little neurotic tendencies are magnified. I tend to think too much.

Also having a hard time at work. My boss had to have a chat with me because she thinks I'm working too hard! That's never happened before! Also having the blanks. Great long periods where I can actually see the tumble weed sweep across my mind.

I'm 18+2 and Beanie is a real fidget now. Two types of movement, one is wriggly fluttery wobbles where i think it's having a swim and just this last week I've been getting the occasional ping! I'm pretty sure it's because beanie can hear me now and is telling me to shut up!

Hooray for all the bravissimo girls!!! Aren't they just the best company. I'm going to have to buy yet another set of new bras this week as I've out grown all the others. I think I'm going to have to get a softy one to sleep in as as well. booksgalore I agree with you, they'd do great mat stuff. I might email them as well. Mainly because they are such lovely people and I'd highly recommend them to everyone.

lovelyveg · 06/08/2008 13:11

here was me being so proud of my new boobs which have gone from (barely needing) a 34A to a 36B. I feel positivley flat chested again now hearing everyone elses measurements!!!

MrsMagpie · 06/08/2008 14:05

lovelyveg be proud! Besides, once they get to a certain size they are more trouble than they are worth!

LenniEd · 06/08/2008 14:10

lovelyveg I'd happily trade with you - my boobs drive me mad. Plus I suffer with neck pain from time to time which I am sure is down to the unwanted melons. If they could do boob reductions without the nasty scars I would get rid of them tomorrow, and that isn't said in jest!

I am 17+1 today - am writing that on here in b&w so I can keep track myself. Really need to keep up with where I am a bit better, it is going far too quickly for my liking, and am starting to get bigger quickly which is scary! I think I'm off to do a bravissimo shop after all these recommendations.

OP posts:
Periwink · 06/08/2008 14:24

My bump seems to double in size each week - 18 weeks 4 days today and not sure if I can feel baby move - sometimes at night when I am relaxing I feel a slight flutter not sure if I am imagining it!!!! Talk about pregnancy brain - couldn't even tell you what I did yesterday. This is my first pregnancy and it is going frighteningly fast - if I think about it too long it freaks me out, we have bought a new house and it needs complete regutting and my husband has promised me we will be moved in by second week of December ... I break out into a sweat at the mere thought. I have started packing up a few boxes, husband think I have completely lost the plot!!! Breathe in ...1...2....3 and breathe out, feel better now!

tinkisagracefulshamu · 06/08/2008 17:25

hi girls i am back now
will be able to keep up now
i am 17 wks tom and look huge i am seeing midwife in the afternoon.

missjackson · 06/08/2008 18:02

Just got back from visit to Bravissimo they are sooo lovely there. Lucky I visited in person cos I was about to order 34E on the website (usually am 32DD) ended up coming home with 34G! Wow... tried to get some mat stuff in Gap too but Oxford St in the heat was too much for me, so ended up coming home.

16 weeks but not feeling any movement yet... and still don't really look pregnant although am feeling HUGE. My sister keeps calling me 'fatty'. Don't you just love sisters?

LooseyC · 06/08/2008 20:42

Evening everyone and hello to lovelyveg (... and by the way you may like to know that as I've gone from probably an AAA to an AA I'm jealous of you as well!)

I've had a really bad few days with a major family crisis to contend with - I'm really trying to keep it together and not get too stressed and emotional for the baby's sake but it's so difficult with all these hormones rushing around. I was crying at nothing as it was - Oh well luckily DH has been really good and supportive which has helped.

Reading some posts about how much the baby changes your life reminds me so much of me before DS came along - but I really can't imagine life without him now... yes it's different and often it's tough (and he's only 7m!) but I wouldn't change it back for anything.

largeG&T - 7 DCs and midwife knowledge as well? We're lucky to have you on this thread!

scared1976 · 06/08/2008 21:06

hello everyone! sorry not posted for a while, been away for work but back now!

so lovely to hear everyone's news and to hear that you are all blooming. also to hear that i am not the only one whose bosom is totally out of control

i had a scan today (am 17.5) and found out we are 95% likely to have a girl! i am very shocked as was so sure it was going to be a boy. very happy though.

look forward to hearing more news! xxx

chefswife · 07/08/2008 07:03

hello ladies. welcome lovelyveg.

i had the best day yesterday with dh. we went for breakfast, then espresso at a friends shop, ran into loads of people we haven't seen since being back, went to another friend's restaurant because i was dying for something sweet, then off to another mall looking for the allusive 34DD and found 4 lovely ones, one a push up too. maternity/feeding bras will wait till later. then we went to a pub, had a glass of honey pale ale, the best, went home and had the best steak and giant salad. it was such a lovely day.

last night though... 3 times i was woken up with an excruciating pain in my left hip. the right one sort of aches, but this was as if someone had jabbed a massive needle into it and my leg uncontrollably kicked out. it took a while for the pain to go away as well. felt bad for DH because i kept waking him and he felt bad because he couldn't do anything. anyone else have this

Upwind · 07/08/2008 08:26

I have that chefswife think it is round ligament pain. It happens whenever I turn over in bed, cough, sneeze, laugh, stand up suddenly...

reallyannoyednow · 07/08/2008 09:47

hi everyone can I join? I'm about 16 weeks pg have dating scan in 2 weeks but at the mo have temporary edd of January 14. Can't wait to find out the "real" date. I have one dd aged 2 and a bit. Am really excited (more excited ) about this pg than my first! Weird, huh?

elkiedee · 07/08/2008 10:47

Welcome reallyannoyed. That seems late for a dating scan!

jamescagney · 07/08/2008 11:20

Yep, is is (it is reallyannoyed here too lazy to name change back).I rang the unit and they said the best time for scan is when I am 14 weeks, but I have put all my calculations into internet due date calculators and they are telling me I'm 16. Hope I am 16 as am snuffly pig (nose wise not fatness) and was told that this will clear up by 20 weeks. !

rrrayray · 07/08/2008 12:56

Hello people........... I'm back!!! its been weird having no mumsnet to read up on. We moved house, so being a new house we had to have the phone line connected, then wait for the internet to be transfered! blah.

i'm afraid i can't be bothered to read ALL the posts i've missed- i just hope your well.

i had a bit of a worry last night, had some jabbing pains around my belly button, not REALLY hurting, but more than uncomfortable. managed to reassure myself must be growing pains all the stretching going on down there, as no blood or anything. So fingers crossed thats all it is.

missjackson · 07/08/2008 15:12

rrrayray I've been having those pains too, weird stabbing ones around belly button, have had them since 12 weeks on and off my midwife said they were growing pains so I wouldn't worry. I've had so many weird pains actually! Is this your first pregnancy? It is for me maybe people don't get such growing pains for subsequent babies.

rrrayray · 07/08/2008 15:18

thats almost the same as me, i first notice some around 12 weeks, but last night they were just stronger than before. i'm not tooo worried, as they seem to have disapeered now, and i have a midwife appt in a few days, so i'll be double checking!!

Yes, it is my first pregnancy. And i assume it would actually make more sense to have more stretching pains first time around, as its all new to our bodies, and they say second time around things stretch a little easier.

has anyone else bought much so far? i've been being very good, and just a little winter suit and some booties- neutral of course. thinking i'm going to go batty when finally know the sex. Thinking should think about choosing some nursery furniture soon...........
