oh fantastic link Obs - glad to see I break the rules by a) signing off DM but also with a X, and my spelling and grammar is diabolical!!!

DM xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oblomov · 28/07/2008 16:01

I immediately thought of you Dozy, when I read that one.

Pinkali37 · 28/07/2008 16:09

Obs.. hilarious thread!!! Could I ask, why on earth does not writing in paragraphs cause upset? BLIMEY... New paragraph...

Also... I think this thread breaks them all.. I love it!!!

Oblomov · 28/07/2008 16:39

Pinkali, some people never use paragraphs. And with a very very long post, like a life story re horrible SIL or what happened when you were .....
it makes it impossible/hard work to read.

Pinkali37 · 28/07/2008 16:46

OB - I understand the hard work bit but not the upsetting bit. Oh Well it's all very funny. Think i've gone delirious(sp)in the heat

YIKES....... I feel terrible now that I may have in the past not used paragraphs (although to be fair I normally do) but what about text speak, surely in a way the acronyms could be classed as text speak. DH etc... ? Oh well I promise that in future I shall write in full sentences and paragraphs.

I sometimes shorten peoples names because I merely haven't the time or inclination to write their full name out, is this also bad?

Dozymare · 28/07/2008 17:00

Pinks - I also shorten names...we are very very naughty!!!

HanaflowerisnotHana - did you change your original name to this as one of the "RULES" was not to pinch a long term MN'ers name??!!

[GRIN] [GRIN]

Pinkali37 · 28/07/2008 17:06

Dozy - I'm with you on this. We are very very naughty.

Have personally never enlightened myself to Mumsnet etiquitte either Dozy oops!!

Ladybuzz, we are going as far north as these isles will allow before you hit water! DH family live in Caithness, it is a 6-7 hour drive so quite a treck hence why we leaving around DS bedtime! My lovely (and unfeasabily youthful looking) MIL informs me the weather is set to last... we'll see. I can give you an idea of who young she looks - she was once mistaken for FIL's daughter!! Imagine his surprise when he heard she was asked if her Dad was at home LOL!!

Anyway enough of my ramblings (for a week!).

Take care everyone, I'll catch up with you all on my return. Expect we may even have yet another thread by then you chatty lot!!!! xxx

Dozymare · 28/07/2008 17:32

I've uploaded PHOTOS on my profile of DS on our hols and my 26wk bump.

I don't think in the bump pictures my bump looks big from the side but looks long and sticking out from the front.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 28/07/2008 21:50

Hello everyone

Have had a fab week on the yorkshire coast.

Lilo suprisingly comfy- I slept really well and didn't have too far to roll off in the morning!

Really looking forward to our two weeks in Cornwall, now-just have to survive three weeks with no toddler groups.

sd to see people have been feeling poorly. I usually get really sick in the last trimester but I'm hoping I escape it this time.

Am I too late for the secret stork thingy? can sopmeone point me in the right direction?

PInkyminkyohnooo · 28/07/2008 21:52

oh vbab- lovely bump. and DS looks like he's had a great time!

My bump is big. I am feeling very bumpy, and my back is complaining.

MerryMarigold · 28/07/2008 22:49

I've caught up at last! Dozy, we are 25 weeks tomorrow! So you have my missing triplet...you can keep her though! I also have not had any action since conception, but no naughty dreams and no inclination...will my libido ever return?! You gotta kick dh out if he snores. I have kicked him out till he goes to a sleep clinic and gets sorted.

Ladybuzz, I was thinking of your name like Ladybird.

Pinkyminky, I know what you mean about no toddler groups...today was lovely as it was hot and we could be outside.

Fasting was baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad (don't do it ceebee ). Doctor told me to go at 9am and I would be seen quickly, and to take a packed 'breakfast' to eat straight away. Turned up at 9am and it had been open since 8am, queue was horrendous. Had to wait till 10.15 before blood test. Felt faint, it was so hot, babies were kicking because they were hungry (or I was stressed!). Arghhhhhhh.

I think babes have moved as it is easier to bend and my bump is pointier than ever. Vbab, think your bump x3 and that is mine! And it looks like a ski slope from the side.

I've decided on my buggy (Mountain). Now to try and get one at a decent price on ebay.

Done nothing for babies or house. Dh has exams this week so is stressed to eyeballs.

cricri · 29/07/2008 07:17

Pinkyminky Glad you had a good holiday with lots of decent sleep. I'm of you going to Cornwall - I love it there. DH and I keep saying we should go... Here is the link to the secret stork thread btw 'secret stork You haven't missed anything as Daisy is the organiser and she's on holiday at the moment.
Hope everybody is feeling OK and that it's less hot and humid. The sun has returned here
A quick query - has anybody had any pain right down by the pubic bone (top of each leg)? I seem to get it mainly when I'm standing up. It's uncomfortable but not exactly painful. Any ideas what it could be? Weight of baby? I hope it's not the dreaded SPD...

Yorky · 29/07/2008 09:20

Pinky glad you had a nice holiday, where in Cornwall are you going? We had a lovely time there in May, hope you get better weather though!
Glad the babies are more comfortable MM, how about the times at the clinic

coolkat · 29/07/2008 09:26

I am to of your holiday in Cornwall Pinky, I used to live down there near Cambourne and we kep saying we are going to go but the distance puts us off.

Crici, it is a symptom of SPD but could also be being ade worse by the position the baby is lying in. My SPD always gets worse towards the end of the day and if I have been doing loads, rolling over in bed is painful. In the event it is the onset of SPD start keeping your legs together when doing things like getting out of the car and getting in and out of bed.

Think maybe I should read the mumsnet etiquette, maybe thats why I always kill threads!

Vbab, nice photo's, my bump is like yours, all be it with stretchmarks makes bending a nightmare!

Another really bad nights sleep again in this house. Went to bed at 9.30, DH bleep went at 12.00, took a while to get to sleep, awake at 3.30, drifting on and off 4.30 some bloody house alarm going off for 1/2 hour, DD woke at 5.30. Tried to settle her down then DH returns. So day out cancelled as DH in bed and me and DD would be to tired. Going to take her to Pizza hut and bowling later instead.

Sorry another ramble from me!

vbab78 · 29/07/2008 09:44

coolkat - i don't think you can tell from the bump pictures but my stretch marks are out in full force all the way around my belly button. Didn't get any with DS until around 35+wks not at less than 26wks. Just got 14wks (16wks if like DS) more stretch marks to go .

ChocOrange05 · 29/07/2008 09:51

Morning all!!!!!!!! I am going to try my upmost to make this post etiquette-able!!!!!!!!!

Merry thanks for your uplifting story about the GTT - I'm really looking forward to the starvation now!!!!!!!!!!

Went to see Batman last night and Heath Ledger is brilliantly psychotic - although after a long day in the office (at my desk) I was very uncomfortable sitting in the cinema for over 2 hours. Reminder to self not to go to the cinema after work anymore!!!!!!!!

Vbab you do have a lovely bump.

And as for the MN eitiquette thread - hope I am not offending anyone when I ask who on earth gets so bothered that they have the time to start such a thread . Is it really that important if you overuse exclamation marks and kisses!x!x!x!x!x!x!x!x!x!x!x!x!

I say our next thread should be called:

Due Nov 2008 - The Rule Breakers!!

ChocOrange05 · 29/07/2008 09:52

Ha ha - just noticed - how apt that I misspelt Etiquette in my last post!

Pinkali37 · 29/07/2008 09:59

Morning All,

Pinky, pleased you had a lovely holiday.

Vbab, cool bump, very similar to mine. Mine seems to change shape daily. Yesterday it was more rounded and today it is pointy and all at the front.

Tarquin was kicking loads yesterday which made me very happy.

Chocorange - I UTTERLY AGREE!!! Who seriously cares. My only thing I try to do is not upset people but other than that I think B**locks to it all JOKE!!!!!

Hope everyone has a good day. x
