Glad to see im not the only one being tired? I fell asleep on the tube three times in the last two weeks? and I have a nap everyday when I get back from work bc im so exhausted..

Is this tiredness thing is meant to go away at one point or am I stuck with it until november?

(also baby wakes mummy up every day at 4am? can I get some sleep please!!!)

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 13:15

I am very tired. But I think the muggy weather isn't helping. Both my neighbours said they had no energy and were struggling to do anything.
And they are 50 year old men !

LolaBella · 23/07/2008 13:22

Sorry guys really not looking for sympathy . I know how lucky i am to have the six weeks off but i think it just takes a bit of time to adjust to doing nothing. I think sometimes i would rather be at work than the prospect of cleaning my house

Anybody else still having to get up a lot in the night to wee?
On a normal night i'm up four times, on a bad night it is up to eight . Really annoying but i suppose it all good practice for when bub arrives

lolabella is 26 weeks, right.
So don't we need a new thread then.....
A THIRD TRIMESTER THREAD.
Yee haaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Some of you are into the third trimester. Am I right ? Or is my maths wrong ? [surely not]

Pinkali37 · 23/07/2008 13:37

When does the 3rd trimester start? I'm 24 weeks on friday?

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 13:43

It varies according to what book you read.
Some 26-29 weeks.
But, by rights 40 weeks divided by 3 trimesters = 13 and a third.
So, trimester 2 = 13.3 - 26.6
So by week 27, we could classify ouselves as in Tri3.
Right ?

Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Pinkali37 · 23/07/2008 13:54

I concur, plus i'd just done that calculation and was thinking the same thing. Oh my goodness this all seems to be going very quickly. I really must buy something for the babies room. Actually going shopping with DH on saturday to find a cot/bed. The Laura Ashley magazine has just arrived and there is some lovely stuff in it. Keep wondering whether once I have the baby DH could do a 1 hour room makeover once we know the sex. So hard keeping it uni sex...

Yorky · 23/07/2008 14:06

Thank you all, DS seems lots better, he was really hot again when he woke yesterday morning but managed a day on his usual routine (1 lunchtime nap) but today his temp was lots better and he didn't wake till 620 but he was asleep again by9, for 1.5hrs! And now the diarrhoea the dr warned about has kicked in don't know if its part of the virus or all the drugs, he seems happy with life though and walked into town pushing the pram!
This bump is so much more active than he was, wonder if its because I'm not at work so have more time to notice it?

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 14:09

EXCUSE ME.
Where did Trimester 2 go ?
One minute we were all 'meet and greet'.
And now we are nearly in Tri3.
Tri2 has gone really, really fast , no ?

DAISY, you know we have a thread for Secret Stork.
Is there one set up for Text Buddies aswell ?

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 14:53

Hana, Thank you kindly. I am on my way.

Yorky · 23/07/2008 14:54

Hold your horses 3rd trimester ladies, I am still only just past the half cooked stage!
But on the other hand being on the home stright makes it sound so close to meeting our babies, exciting!

Dozymare · 23/07/2008 14:57

hi all, just popping in whilst I have a bit of respite - my god, 2 running around all day long is very very hard when you are pregnant!! Having lots of fun though although only day 3 of the hols so we shall see!!!!!!

Missdee - fantastic news, you must be so happy and what a relief to be problem free. I know that every scan I have is quite fraught as they were monitoring DS2 for any kidney problems as the 20 week scan showed a slight difference, but again everything was and is normal......

Obs - I too am feeling very very tired, it is soooo muggy and close it is very tiring indeed, in fact, I may convince the boys to watch a DVD to I can snooze on sofa - is that bad??!!!!!

What I have found though that is DELICIOUS is Sainsbury's Mojitos without the Rum....it is called Mint and Lime cooler, on offer 2x2 litre cartons for £2.50......you are meant to add rum but I have been making jugfuls (and diluting with water as it is quite strong) and adding fresh mint and lime slices...it is amazing!!!!!

Anyone seen Autumnlady recently???

DM x

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 15:03

Well, I am not even 24 weeks yet. But I am just saying that some are nearly into 3rd.

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 15:05

Dozy
DVD in the afternoon = necessity, I think.
You and food, I love hearing about the exciting things you eat.

Haven't seen Autumnlady for ages.
And I did ask about Creena, a while ago. You don't think anything bad has happened do you ?
Who else hasn't been here for a while ?

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2008 15:46

according to my Lesey Regan book, the third trimester starts between 26 and 27 weeks...so yup some of us will be nearly there already! I'm 25 weeks tomorrow so only a week and a bit to go

Saw MW...all is well in the Daisy bump

Got my mat B1 as well, so I am officially pregnant now!

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 15:48

Daisy, have we a text buddy thread ?

LackaDAISYcal · 23/07/2008 16:04

oops, sorry I ignored you oblomov. Not yet. I thought we'd organise that later once the secret stork is out of the way!

Anyone else want to sign up for the secret stork? There is a thread in AN....link on page 1 or 2 of this thread i think (16 July)

bubbaz · 23/07/2008 16:16

Oh third trimester how exciting! I think it has gone so fast this time round I felt pg for ages with DS.
Autumnlady has posted on the book club thread so she has been around its been over a month since we heard from Creena though - Hope she is OK.
Isn't it lovely seeing kicks from the outside it helps you not to worry so much because you can feel and see that everyting is OK

misdee · 23/07/2008 16:24

whats secret stork?

last night saomeone posted a link for discounted steiff bears, and i caved and ordered fyn for the baby. its for 3years+, so am going to chedk it for moulting issues (usually why things are 3+), if its not too bad then will be supervised cuddles, otherwise will be on the shelf for a few years.

cricri · 23/07/2008 16:25

I'm still here I'm in France at the moment and didn't have internet access until yesterday. It's taken me that long to catch up with the various MN threads!
Hope everybody is feeling better now.
It is exciting being almost into the third trimester isn't it I can't believe I'm 25+4. My family over here are convinced I'm having a boy as my bump is right out in front. I keep telling them it means absolutely nothing! Will find out for definite at 4D scan in 10 days once back in the UK in any case. Great news on your scan DM I was told it was a 70% chance of a girl too at 12-week scan so will be interesting to see if that was correct!
Weather really hot here but it's the same in UK from what I've heard
Anybody else still suffering from backache? I think it was Chocorange who was going to see about being referred to a physio? Mine is still bad if I stay sat down for too long in the same position.
As for exercising, I went to to the gym before going away but haven't done much since I've been here apart from eat I'll have to get back into it when I get home.
Hope everybody is OK

Oblomov · 23/07/2008 16:33
