getting back to sex.

errr have been feelign well up for it lately, but last night, bump was not happy, and i ended up with braxton hick afterwards, so am not sure on what to do next.

never had this issue before, but last time, at this point dh was very ill, so sex was totally off the agenda,.

sparkletoes · 19/07/2008 20:33

Am so pleased for you Dozy congrats on ur 100% pink one! x

LackaDAISYcal · 19/07/2008 20:39

misdee, I was just wondering how Peter was doing...obviously very well

I had some BHs after the last time DH and I did the deed. I think it's normal.

We have had a day and a half with DD. she slept for all of an hour and a half, refused to eat (although managed to polish off a chocloate cupcake and a mini milk ice cream at Dneice's birthday party. sShe has been very very grumpy though.

and OMG she is crying again

Yay Dozy

now about my three sackfuls of pink baby clothes

The private scans I've had have been great. they had a screen on the ceiling so there was none of this craning your neck whilst lying down to try and see what was happening.

misdee · 19/07/2008 20:42

yes he is well, except for an infected ulcer on his lip, which isnt nice at all.

wow dozy, so 100% on your girl. i have another scan on the 4th, so wil lask them to recheck the sex of this one. even though they said girl, i am not 100% myself at believing it lol.

not many girls on this group is there?

LazyLinePainterJane · 19/07/2008 20:44

Congrats dozy. Like Pinky, I also had a student in with the sonographer so the scan lasted ages, and we saw in really good detail, she went through all the heart chambers and she said that she was 95% sure it was a girl! (think she got a look straight ahead between the legs)

LackaDAISYcal · 19/07/2008 20:44

That's great misdee

Fab news dozy!!

sorry your having a tiring day daisy. Hope your dd is feeling better
tomorrow x

Am having an evening in by myself. DH is having a 'few beers' with the lads from work. A little bit worried. Last time he went out with the lads (2 weeks ago) he said he'd be home by 10.30 and I was in a state at 1.30 trying to call his mobile (which he wasn't answering) He stumbled in at 2a.m. having fallen asleep on the tube and got lost in Barking he was tw**ted.

So he said he'd be back between 8 and 9 tonight (I asked for a time so that I wouldn't fret) ... I don't think it's fair of him not to not come home when he says. There's a long underpass he's got to walk through and I hate the thought of him going through it late at night.

He is such a sweet soul but loves a beer. I'm just starting to feel the beginnings of crossness creep in when he knows I was beside myself with worry last time.

I sound like an awful naggy old witch (I'm not really - honest!!)

Sorry for the whinge!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 19/07/2008 22:00

Right we've gotjust about everything in the car, so just have to pray for a bit of sunshine, at least whilst we put the tent up!

Sorry your DD is still in the wars, Lacks.

Barbar- you are not alone in thbis issue. DH's popping out for a quick beer sometimes results in a very late night. If I were to stay out longer than I said and not ring, he would be frantic, but for some reasoin they don't realise we feel the same, do they?

LackaDAISYcal · 19/07/2008 22:05

have a good holiday pinky; weather is supposed to get really hot midweek, but not sure how long it'll last. forecast is good for tomorrow too. (where are you off to again?)

am off to bed, but have put some photos of my dead on her feet, but ice cream and chocolate fuelled DD on the bouncy castle at her cousin's party.

lol your DD is such a cutie.

We are off to Scarborough. Not been before and really looking forward to it. It can't be any wetter than our trip to Wales last July. Portmerion in a coomplete downpour, DS in his waterproofs happily pushing tedward around in his toy stroller!

Hope you get some sleep.x

barbareebaa · 19/07/2008 22:15

he txted me at 8.20 to say he was having a last quick pint and he would be home soon.

I think it is a slow pint.

I'm telling tales Not very loyal

pinky are you going on your hols?? Hope you have a brill time

PInkyminkyohnooo · 19/07/2008 22:19

reeeaaly sloooow pint...sounds about right, barbar, but we wont tell anyone, so you're ok

yes off camping for a week- really looking forward to it, and thanks

barbareebaa · 19/07/2008 22:25

I love love love Scarborough!! We used to go there quite a bit when we lived up North! Would also recommend Robin Hoods Bay - fabulous for rock pooling (happy days!!)

Best ever fish and chips!!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 19/07/2008 22:29

my sis used to go there a lot when she lived in Leeds. We are planning to get about as much as possible- RH bay, whitby etc. We will also have to go on the train at Pickering or DS will burst!

barbareebaa · 19/07/2008 22:44

Oh Yay!

you will have such a lovely time - give my love to Whitby The countryside round there is sooo beautiful!

Hope the weather smiles on you!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 19/07/2008 22:48

thanks, barabar-
oh dear, DS has woken up- he is soo excited about camping.

MerryMarigold · 19/07/2008 22:56

pinky, have fun camping! come back and convert me. with 3 kids we will only be affording camping from now and on...and in my head i know it's fun, but i just can't get my heart round doing it!

DOZY - Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!

barbs - is dh back yet? whingeing is not disloyal! helps you not to lose it when he walks in, get it out of your system!

barbareebaa · 19/07/2008 23:05

Bah!

No sign of DH... Well a bit of a fib - he sent a txt saying (and I now quote) 'Hi my lovely x am silly but sentimental xx'

Eh?? That's a bit random. Hope he hasn't got a bit on the side I am out of money on my phone so is not in response to txt frm me.

Think he's very drunk. Better not get lost again.

He's gonna kill me for posting all this!!

How's your weekend Merry?

Pinky - holidays are such exciting times when you're a tot!! I can't wait to take my little one to the seaside

Just thought - should I phone DH or let him get on with it??

PInkyminkyohnooo · 19/07/2008 23:09

mm DH and I have both camped since toddlerhood- but definitely 5 star camping for us these days Our tent even has a walk in wardrobe!

It is the only way we can afford more than a week's holiday each year. We are getting three weeks away this summer which is fab - this week in scarborough then 2 weeks in cornwall next month.

The children absolutely love it.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 19/07/2008 23:12

barbar- it's a tricky one. If you ring, you'll prolly get him home, but have a row, that's what happens to us, anyway. YOu could just leave him to it, be really nice and claim the moral high ground for the whole of sunday....

barbareebaa · 19/07/2008 23:25

oops.

Just phoned him. he's very drunk. feel cross and worried.

Am not like this. Just must be hormones. Didn't have a row (we don't really fall out) Just feel miserable I think because he knows how upset I was last time I just thought he would be more thoughtful this time.

Listen to me!! I am nightmare wife woman from hell!! Sounds like a villain!

Sozza!

barbareebaa · 19/07/2008 23:31

Pinky - your tent sounds a bit posh!! We used to drive over to RHB in an old red ex minibus with pink curtains and a matress in the back. We'd get there about teatime (late possibly due to an earlier hangover ), crack open the wine (drink it out of red plastic camping mugs naturally) and watch the sunset sitting on the step on the back.

total bliss!!

bacon butties in the morning too with dewy wet grass and a few cows!!

That's cheered me up!!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 19/07/2008 23:41

oh yes our new tent is quite posh - it's a good size for the family and very sturdy- should last us for years.

We had many years out of our old vango mk5 with carrier bags for extra waterproofing!

I am looking forward to both the chippy teas and the bacon butties, now!

I am very jealous you don't row. DH and I have been together forever but we still have the odd humdinger of a barney- I get fed up because he is always soo grumpy after a night on the beer.

Right, I'mk off to bed now- busy day tomorrow. Hope your DH gets home soon.xx

barbareebaa · 19/07/2008 23:53

Night Pinky!

Hope you all have a wonderful holiday!

x
