Pooka - good to hear all went well. Best of luck to everyone else having scans this week.
PicadillyCircus - sorry to hear you are feeling so rubbish. Hope the sickness starts getting better for you soon. I too have been sick but not as regularly and its usually if I have left it too long in between meals. Last night was a classic example. Got ds and dd into bed then started feeling odd. Puked and then sent dh to get me some chow mein which worked wonders for settling my tummy!!!

Think I've just discovered my first "symptom" of being pregnant. Craving dime bars and toasted corned beef sandwiches with branston pickle. Still not feeling sick at all (sorry everyone else who is).

I agree that the June lot are very chatty (have been lurking there and can they talk! )

Feel a bit better at the moment; I think I need to keep eating constantly. As I'm probably doing an interview later on this afternoon not sure how feasible that will be but we'll wait and see.

The sickness is getting better in that I don't feel sick all the time, just for the few minutes before I am sick. So I am happier, just worn out.

Has anyone had snow - there was an amount on the car this morning but sadly not enough for me to justify not coming to work.

Glad your scan went well pooka; only 10 days until mine .

Better do some work now I think.

We woke to a light dusting of snow this morning, but not enough to close nursery boo hoo i hate walking in the snow, i had to do it a lot whilst pregnant with DD and i fell over quite a few times and spent time in and out of the antenatal unit being reassured that everthing was ok. don't want go through all that again thank you very much. Doesn't help that we live on quite a steep hill though does it?

Hi Everyone, Ive been rather busy at work so havent been able to post.

DH and I went for the 10 week scan on Friday and it was wonderful. I hadnt realised how stressed and worried I had been until after the scan when most of my worries disappeared. Seeing the fluttering heart and the baby wriggling was one of the best experiences ever.

I hadnt had many symptoms, just a bit sicky most of the day and feeling tired towards the end of the week so I felt a bit 'cheated', but the Sonographer was lovely and she said that I was very lucky to not be so ill (which other people kept telling me but it seemed better to hear it from her somehow?!)...and she wished all scans could be so happy and easy as ours. We got 2 pictures and she did an extra one for luck.

Since the scan I feel the neausea has lifted and im looking forward to my holiday in a few weeks.

Good luck to all of you who have yet to have a scan, im really excited for you all now. Just remember to fill that bladder!!

Still waiting to hear when my scan is - nearly 11 wks now, so surely must hear soon! It's so good to hear everyone getting good scan results and beginning to feel a bit more human, although I'm still not convinced the 'blooming' phase is just around the corner! I feel a bit better at the beginning of the week, but still sick and headachey if I overdo it.
Is anyone else beginning to have sneaky looks at prams etc? We have got rid of all our old stuff, as had decided a couple of years ago that 2 boys was definitely enough for us. It's quite exciting thinking about a whole new baby spending spree!! (Keeps me going when I'm feeling yuck!)

andif - I only got my scan date through last week, at 11 weeks + and its for next week. If you don't get it this week you should phone and chase them up.
We'll have to get a new bed for ds1 I think, as we'll move ds2 into his bed, and use the cot for the baby, but if its another boy then we won't have to buy anything else - (except a new car to fit three car seats in!). For a girl we'll need some clothes, but not much really.
Waiting for the burst of energy after 12 weeks to kick in - house is a state / work is piling up and I really can't be bothered!

Would love to go shopping for a whole new set of baby things but have a decent single and double pram and as ds is 2 and a half and dd is one, our stuff is pretty new and in reasonable state. There are a few things I would love to get for no 3 but its a case of persuading dh who tends to be a little resistant to splashing out on baby stuff!

Just phoned Kingston Hosp to hassle for scan as dh needs as much notice as poss to be there (that's my line and I'm sticking to it!!) Lovely lady booked scan for 7 Mar but booking in not til 31st. Only (!?) a couple of weeks to wait - will update stats.

I've got a scan date (9 March when I'll be 11+6) but no booking in appointment.

Have to confess we've already started looking at prams - first baby excitement plus dh is very into the 'gadget' side of things. We need absolutely everything so no doubt will be looking to all of you who already have kids for advice in the coming weeks.

I suppose that at least I've got the experience to know what baby things are actually necessary and what is just a waste of money. I have to say that everything has got a lot more funky in the last 8 years!!
