OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LackaDAISYcal · 14/07/2008 16:47

oooh, congratulations tegan, I missed your post .

I need to start listing baby girls clothes on ebay; have some nice bits that are too good for the charity shop!

am waiting for Next Sale on Saturday and M&S on Thursday and will hopefully get some bits and peices there. Vertbaudet have a good sale on at the minute but seem to have more girls stuff than boys though!

LackaDAISYcal · 14/07/2008 16:54

nips super sensitive here too, although it does come and go!

DH and I tried to have some "personal" time last weekend, but it was more comedy than romance . We're always too bloody knackered as well, but like bubbaz, were only starting to get our groove back when I got pergnant and I think 3 goes was about the sum of it for us as well

and as for swallowing.....if putting in my mouth makes me gag, there's no way I'm going near that

misdee · 14/07/2008 16:55

i got a blanket for bubs

bubbaz · 14/07/2008 17:00

Thats really cute Misdee very girly!

vbab78 · 14/07/2008 17:03

you ladies and your talk of swallowing has made me chuckle. I'm sure i'll be grinning all the way home from work now.

LackaDAISYcal - romance? what's that?! I just have to settle for SEX with very poor seduction technique when DH is in a silly mood.

vbab78 · 14/07/2008 17:04

tegan - congrats. i also love your name.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 14/07/2008 17:06

nice blanket, misdee.

Lacks get away with your nappy bargains. I'm not going to look!

ChocOrange05 · 14/07/2008 17:33

Tegan congrats on the girl (girls are the best - based on experience of being one, not having one!!)

BTW - is anyone else still taking pregnancy vitamins??

Pinkali37 · 14/07/2008 17:50

I still take the pregnancy vitamin and omega 3 (not sure if it is needed but it can't do any harm).

Now when I say that DH and I do still you know (NO not the swallowing thing the 'doing it thing') well let me not kid you into thinking that it lasts like it used to, let me put it this way, his new name is "6 stroke" but hey it keeps me happy!!

Tegan Congratulations!!!!!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 14/07/2008 18:01

ok Pinkali I think we really are in TMI territory here, but then I'm an old prude (probably)

cricri · 14/07/2008 18:06

PMSL at the whole swallowing debate - some light-hearted relief after an afternoon of solid work Like Choc I'm keeping very quiet
I did have some old chap in the gym this morning come up to me and say "You're a gorgeous shape you know" He's a regular so I usually say hello but that comment was totally unexpected! Perhaps I need to swap my tight workout top for a baggy T-shirt Can't be the boobs - mine are still a 36A unfortunately. Somebody please tell me they're going to get bigger at some stage! I have had a couple of episodes of leakage though but fortunately not during "private time" with DH.
Congratulations Tegan on your scan by the way Any more scans still to come? We need a few more girls to even up this thread

PInkyminkyohnooo · 14/07/2008 18:21

I think the girls may be the ones we don't know about, d'you think? I can't believe there are so few girls on this thread!!

I think the guy at the gym is right, really CRcri- prengnant lady shape is a lovely shape- it just doesn't feel so great to be carrying it around, sometimes!I'm sure your boobs will get a bit bigger, maybe not until your milk comes in. I wish I had smnall ones- you always want the opposite to what you have

Oblomov · 14/07/2008 18:26

Can't believe the conversation.
I have very sensitive nipples. Have done all through this pregnancy. And they are itchy.
I am off to Kings tomorrow.
Last week on the train, I thought the man next to me, had his shirt, touching my ... bra, but it was nowhere near. Mine are THAT sensitive.
I so need to get re-measured.

Oblomov · 14/07/2008 18:26

Congratulations Tegan

Dozymare · 14/07/2008 19:12

Hello!
Congratulations to tegan and serendippity

Re: preg vits - I have been taking pregnacare except for a time when I ran out and my skin went awful (face) but got better when I started taking vits again.

Merry We have same EDD!! I used to live in Wanstead - still not sure where FG is - do you mean the fields near Eagle pond/ snaresbrook end?

Pinkali Huzah for kicking

Re; Bras - I haven't got any maternity ones. Is underwiring ok or should I not be underwired?

And my boobs have started to leak!! Just my right one though Was rather suprised!
My nose seems to be constantly bleeding and have heartburn! Not complaining though (well maybe a little bit to dh which seems to get the tea made!!)

x

PInkyminkyohnooo · 14/07/2008 20:23

aarggh the children are in bed, I'm on my own and there are no munchies of any (desirable) description in the house! Have just eatebn the last digestive with some goats cheese, very yum, but that's all there is.

barbareeba, bras- underwired ok if you are rigorous with making sure they fit properly, otherwise not a good idea.

Those carriwell stretchy bras are pretty good, as they are a bit more forgiving on chaning sizes than normal bras. I quite like them, thopugh they are not glamorous! Quite comfy if you have heartburn etc.

barbareebaa · 14/07/2008 20:33

Thanks pinkyminky

Will check them out!!

Soz about your lack of munchies

PInkyminkyohnooo · 14/07/2008 20:35

it's a major tragedy. DH won't be home until 10ish

PInkyminkyohnooo · 14/07/2008 20:36

it's a major tragedy. DH won't be home until 10ish

And the cable remote has gone walkies. THis evening is not panning out well.

barbareebaa · 14/07/2008 20:43

OMG! Disaster!!

Is there not an emergency service that deals with this kind of situation???

Yorky · 14/07/2008 20:52

Come on round pinky, just got in from end of term brownie arty so I have tortilla crisps, carrot cake, iced gems cocktail sausages and chocolate fingers to use up!
It was a fancy dress party and I wore my party dress from the ball a couple of weeks ago, and I can feel its a tighter fit than it was then! Reassuring really as I've got used to having a bump but not really aware of it growing.
Had a lovely chat with nappy lady today although her son didn't want to share DSs toys with him which made conversation a bit awkward!

MerryMarigold · 14/07/2008 20:52

barbs - it goes like this. Wanstead, Wanstead Golf course/Wanstead Park, Aldersbrook, Wanstead flats, Forest Gate. That's a lot of 'green' between you and me which is what I love about living here. Was looking to move to Redbridge but it is just too built up ( - slightly ironic when I live in London, but as Zone 3 goes it's very green round here).

Bras, you can just get non underwired in M & S. I went in during my first pregnancy to get measured for new bras and the lady told me that I shouldn't wear underwired. I had no idea! The non underwired look so large when you are used to little underwired numbers but they are sooooo comfy. I remember feeling really embarassed wearing them (first pregnancy) and I have not gone back to underwires!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 14/07/2008 21:03

yorky I am very regarding your snacks.

MM I think I have worn an underwired bra once since my first pregnancy! I wore it for a particular night out and it was very uncomfortable.

The m&s ones are good I think. I just suggest the carriwell ones because they are good for a few cup-sizes, you can sleepp really comfortably in them, and they don't dig in at all- which is great when things start moving up.

I am definitely going to buy some glamorous nursing bras this time around.

Oblomov · 14/07/2008 21:22

With big norks, the idea of wearing an non-underwired is unimaginaeable for me.
I will make sure I am regularly fitted. Thus it will be fine.
Off to find number of Covent Garden Baravissimo.
