LOL at 2 Magnums Dozy!!
Chocolategirl & Chocorange both of your cots are lovely. I really want to build my crib so I can play but DH would kill me if I do it before I sort the nursery out as I have nowhere to store it.
I love the buzz of selling things on ebay when I'm watching them its just the putting them on and posting them that I hate, I also have loads of stuff to go on but just can't get it together to do it!
Ooh on a tangent I got some nappies at the wkend with the local authority vouchers, Mothercare Smart Nappies. they look quite good I will let you know more once I have tried them, you can get reusable or disposables pop in bits too and they are quite cheap (they were the only ones available in my local area that I don't already have).

PInkyminkyohnooo · 10/07/2008 16:53

bubbaz do you want me to send you a copy of the vbac cd still?

bubbaz · 10/07/2008 16:54

Pinky yes please if you could. Can you e-mail it?

Oblomov · 10/07/2008 16:57

Pinky, sorry could you explain again, because I just can't get it.

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 16:59

vbac cd?

PInkyminkyohnooo · 10/07/2008 17:06

Oh lordy bubbaz maybe.. I'll have a go tonight, otherwise it's snail mail and a cd.

Yes WMMC did me one, kind lady, I can send it you if you like, lacks

oblomov I think it's policy leaflets on what's available for people with long term conditions, like yours. You may be entitled to allowances, as you would be considered a 'self-carer'. I just tried dissecting the link for you but you may need to ask Autumnlady to explain what she's specifically thinking of.

bubbaz · 10/07/2008 17:14

Pinky thanks either way is good - I'm aware that I sound like I know what i'm doing - I'm not even if you manage I might not get it this end anyway .

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 17:26

yes please

and i got your email thanks......I'll stick with the blue minky....but there's no real rush for it unless you have one in stock. I can paypal the amount to you

PInkyminkyohnooo · 10/07/2008 18:27

ok blue minky spot, I've had to order some more fishy from the states as the piece I have left isn't big enough, so it will be two weeks. Paypal would be great, thanks

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 18:29

am very excited....they are beeeooootiful blankets and I thought nice and cosy for the winter

bubbaz · 10/07/2008 19:09

Pinky they certainly are gorgeous!! I am def going to order 1 but will wait and see what flavour this one is first cause I would like a pink one if it is a girl if it wouldn't be too much trouble once your baby has arrived!

Yorky · 10/07/2008 19:12

CDs in post this morning, DH is scanning the inserts for them tonight while I'm at meeting and I'll email them when I get back as he's off work this week so couldn't photocopy them!

misdee · 10/07/2008 19:15

havent decided on a blanket yet. am in love with the m+p gingerbread one.

i have however got the baby clothes out of the loft and am sorting through them. so far have found laods of teeny socks and 11 baby nightdresses. and found some hats and scratch mitts. plus 3 snowsuits.

so dont need to buy any baby clothes really. i even found a brand new pack of sleepsuits in newborn size.

Bettispaghetti · 10/07/2008 19:22

Hi ladies

For those of you who don't know the flavour - what colour are you doing the nursery? I did pale green for DD and yellow for DS but not sure this time. I'm thinking white with some really bright pictures and blind but looking for some inspiration.

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 19:22

lol misdee, you sound like me where buyng things is concerned!

I bought some little vests on Monday as I gave all my unisex newborn stuff away to a friend. She has promised me loads of stuff from her DS though, so I'll probably get them back

And we will probably (but after that thread the other week, are not assuming) that some of our DTNs hand me downs will wend this way.

The kids are in bed already...they were doing my head in. I'm fed up with this place looking like a bombsite...and most of it DD just pulling things out of drawers and boxes. She emptied a whole packet of babywipes as well this morning when I was in the shower. DS was supposed to be watching her. That's what i get for leaving her in the care of a 6yo for 15 minutes

misdee · 10/07/2008 19:30

IIRC the nightdresses were 50p each in the mothercare january sale. i found out dd3 sex at a late growth scan, so went a bit crazy shopping wise

we also don have a nursery. baby will be in with us until it outgrows the crib, then will be in the cot in dd3 room (unless i fit the cot in our room). but if she was actually a he, i was going to paint their room pale blue and add some purple for dd3.

lackaDAISYcal · 10/07/2008 20:10

no nursery as such here either. DD is in the little room (which still has stars and planet wallpaper from when it was DSs room ), but poor DS will be getting stuffed back into the little room so that DD and the baby can share the bigger room when he moves from the crib in our room. I'm a bit sad that we never got round to painting DD's room all pink and girly though; now she will be sharing with her brother the walls will need to be pretty neutral.

ceebee74 · 10/07/2008 20:56

Evening all

So much to catch up on and I have no time tonight.

Re nurseries, we did DS's in pale yellow with the Mothercare classic Winnie the Pooh range of wall stickers, curtains etc but it is looking a bit tatty now. Ds will be moving in to the spare room sometime in the new year so that will want decorating and I am trying to persuade DH that we can redecorate the nursery but I am not sure that finances will allow that!

Haven't got time to chat tonight but think positive thoughts for me tomorrow at 11.15 I probably won't get back on MN until late afternoon/evening tomorrow but I will come back and share the flavour as soon as I can (why do I think that it is going to be pink to balance out all the boys on this thread ).

Oh the joys of rented accommodation, all our walls are magnolia so the baby's room just has a few prints and winnie the pooh curtains. Keep meaning to recover the rocking chair to match the curtains, I originally did it to match our headboard before I learnt not to get out of bed for night feeds! I might happen before baby but not holding my breath!

vbab78 · 10/07/2008 21:40

nursery - we are currently in the middle of getting our 3 bedrooms plastered then decorated. Mine and DH has been done. Starting DS "big boy" room tomorrow. The plan is then DS can move into his new room in a new "big boy" bed so the nursery can be sorted.

Decided to have same colour, Dulux Lemon Pie, which is a bright yellow in both baby and DS room then just accessorise them different. The lemon pie colour is what we had at our last house in DS nursery. In DS old nursery we then had jungle bedding so will probably do something similar www.dulux.co.uk/servlet/ColourSchemeHandler?name=lemon_pie

It's all a lot of work but sure it will be worth it. Just looks like I will still be decorating when baby is ready to appear .

misdee · 10/07/2008 22:11

After sorting through heaps of baby clothes, i have come to relaise i dont have any newborn-3month vests at all. not even one. how odd i know i did buy some for dd3, but i must have put them in the charity bag at some point.

so added to shopping list VESTS!
