Hana, mostly down to me - ha ha

Oblomov · 10/07/2008 15:29

Hana, joke about the money.
Dh says, now htat you are off work, you have no excuse not to sell all that stuff on e-bay, do you ? I have bags and bags and a garage and a loft full of stuff. Bad Oblomov.
I might have to start negotiating, I.e I am only allowed to buy one for every 3 things I sell

ChocOrange05 · 10/07/2008 15:30

All this talk of shopping must be catching. Blooming Marvellous have just sent me an e-mail about their sale!!

chocolategal · 10/07/2008 15:34

chocorange i looked at that cot too, its lovely!

i agree the sleigh one is expensive but what the hell!!!!

oblomov i occasionally sell stuff on ebay but i do find it a chore, taking the pic, writing a little bit about it then packing if up IF it sells! lol!
so goodluck with it!!!

chocolategal · 10/07/2008 15:36

e-bay selling is chore.
We have 3 things for sale at the moment - including fitted wardrobes from our spare room, that we are STILL stripping, to turn it into a nursery.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 10/07/2008 15:50

get yourself ebaying oblomov, that way you can soend as you sell!

yes Christmas I don't see me getting much done if I leave it until nearer the time, do you? I usually sell lots of stuff there, so it's worth it.

vbab78 · 10/07/2008 15:54

Oblomov - Wish I could help. If i lived near you I would taxi you.

dylerlou - I'm going to try to BF baby. Didn't work with DS but willing to just go with the flow and try again. I've been advised by the ladies that the mini electric medela and the avent manual pumps are the best. I'm just going to see after baby born and get one if I think there is a need for it.

vbab78 · 10/07/2008 15:55

got ebay electronic and other stuff to sell but don't know if I can be bothered.

AutumnLady · 10/07/2008 15:56

Oblomov - take a look at this link as I think this will help in your pursuit of reimbursement for travel costs. I can't do a fancy link so here it is:

www.dh.gov.uk/en/Publicationsandstatistics/Publications/PublicationsPolicyAndGuidance/ DH_083704

I can have a more detailed look into it tomorrow as I don't work on a Friday but thought you may want to have a look now. I don't mind phoning a few people tomorrow for some advice but unfortunately I don't have time to do so this afternoon. i have a MW appt and need to leave early so am rushing to get stuff done!!

Hope this helps a bit

xx

Hi everyone. Wow, £600 for a cot! But I agree, they do look really nice. I was looking a a similar one in John Lewis for £200, did look very similar but I'm sure the quality wasn't as good! However, as we have a tiny room I think we'll be sensible and buy the smallest cot we can find!

We have bought a chest for the lounge to put all baby's toy's... does that count? Need to get all the boxes out of her room before we can start in there...

PInkyminkyohnooo · 10/07/2008 16:41

If you go here then do a search on 'policy and guidance' I think the list of pdfs come up- you need the one coded DH_0837 04 I think.
