pinky...your blankets are gorgeous! I think you might be inundated with orders from us

Have you not tried making your own nappies? I could be your agent on t'other side of the Pennines

AutumnLady · 08/07/2008 16:22

PinkyMinky - your blankets are gorgeous!! As is the model too Can't wait to put an order in for the red cat one..... hint, hint...

xx

PInkyminkyohnooo · 08/07/2008 16:26

oh gosh thanks all. I feel a bit embarrassed now! If anyone does want one, you can either wait til I get my etsy shop up, or email me at pinkyminky at mac dot com.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 08/07/2008 16:29

lacks- lol at making my own nappies- I'm not sure I can sew fast enough!

Bettispaghetti · 08/07/2008 16:45

Dozymare I'm with you on the 'overeating' although I could quite easily sit down to a plate full of chocolate rather than a proper meal. Nothing seems to take my fancy at the moment so I end up 'grazing' on junk. I just can't be bothered to cook a meal at the moment although I do for my DCs. Anyone else searching for something they really really fancy to eat??

Pinkali37 welcome back from hols. Loving the bump. I thought I was huge but went into Boots to buy a lipstick and the assistant who served me didn't even notice I was pregnant. And today I was told by 2 mums that I was tiny (think they must just be being polite!!!). Love the idea that you and your sister are going to become mummies at the same time. How nice for you to have someone to share the experience with.

Started to feel lots of movement from my bump now and yesterday actually felt the baby kick from the outside. Such a lovely feeling and I remember pining for that feeling once my DCs were born. You do miss it so much.

Does anyone know whether it's a real no-no to sleep on your tummy. Sometimes I wake up to find I'm laying full on my tummy and worry that this baby is going to come out looking like a pancake! God knows how I manage it as it is so uncomfortable. Must be in a really deep sleep.

Hi

Gosh this thread will soon be full

Just a quick one from me as not feeling to great.
Pinkymink blankets look good, wish I was creative!

Well gave in today me and DH talking about baby etc and I got him to tell me, turns out my gut feelings are wrong and bump is a little girl! So Rebecca Mae it is.

Not telling anyone except you guys so still decorating nursery neutral. DH says when we go shopping we can get girl stuff but hide it away from prying eyes!, feel awful lying to DD but she would broadcast it!!

Terrible pain down below without being crude the bones either side of my bits and when I move my legs I could cry. Tempted to stay home tomorrow but only go two days left until summer hols so need to finish off and its so busy.

Got really peeved with having no tops that fit so ended up ordering a selection from next Maternity, I know their sale is soon but felt desperate and like sack of crap, also whats to say can get them in the sale!
Don't need anything else now though as was fine for bottoms.

Off to chill. X

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 19:39

woohoo for your pink one coolkat

pinky, I love the flowery blanket, but DS2-to-be might not feel the same way

misdee · 08/07/2008 19:42

yay another girl.

wheres thats Stats list so i can update?

vbab78 · 08/07/2008 20:13

coolkat - congrats on your little girl. hope your pains go soon and you feel better in yourself.

I'm convinced I'm having another boy. i may be wrong! i like the idea of another boy as i like being rough and messing around with ds & also used to a boy. saying that would prob be the same with a girl though.

if i do have another boy i wouldn't keep trying until i get a girl just always liked the idea of having boys.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 08/07/2008 20:19

great news about the baby, coolkat.I can't beleive you held out this long!

lacks there is a fish fabric blanket in the same style, I can do that with blue minkee fleece.

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 20:54

sounds good pinky...DS will like the fishy theme . I hope you weren't intending on taking it easy in the latter stages of your pregnancy

PInkyminkyohnooo · 08/07/2008 20:59

haha not with these two around, and three camping trips booked between now and September!

I may need to reinforce the lilo by August.

Besides, making things distracts me from internet shopping

ceebee74 · 08/07/2008 21:25

Evening all

Pinky - those blankets are just gorgeous - I definitely think I will order one once I find out what flavour we are having I am so not prepared for a winter baby so one of those blankets would be just great for it's pram.

Merry/Yorky - good luck tomorrow - can't wait to hear your news! And then, does that just leave me bringing up the rear??

Choc - lol at you accessing MN from Germany - that is exactly what I would do

Had a busy day at work - first day back after my week off, 95 e-mails, a ton of post and I had 2 meetings which lasted most of the day - great day back eh? Although I was taken out to lunch by the managers where I was working today - Pizza Hut 'eat all you can' buffet - I did warn them it is dangerous taking a pregnant woman to such a thing

x

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 21:29

some baby name inspiration for you, from traditional to modern.

Not sure of No 963 in the 1880s boy's name list though

PInkyminkyohnooo · 08/07/2008 21:32

yes absolutely, ceebee, a pinkyminky blanket is just perfect for a winter baby!

Good luck with scan tomorrow!

The fish fabric blanket is up now, it's in polar fleece but I also have one in blue minky dot which is lovely.
Pinkyminky is the name of my daughter's favourite toy. Not very original, I'm afraid, but it does go with the minky fleece, you see.

chocolategal · 08/07/2008 21:36

LOL flaming NORA!!!

PInkyminkyohnooo · 08/07/2008 21:37

lol we used to have two cats- Nora and Wally, because Nora used to boss wally about the whole time.
My DD's petname is up there in the 1880"s- glad to see I've got my finger on the pulse of modern trends!

chocolategal · 08/07/2008 21:43

pinky, that fishy blanket is lovely

lackaDAISYcal · 08/07/2008 23:45

oooh, pinky, the fishy blanket is gorgeous. I like the sound of it with blue minky fleece.

Can you email me with how much you charge for them?

My website is also a variation on minky...but it's not built yet (have registered the domain name though )

Oblomov · 09/07/2008 09:12

Lovely blankets Pinky.
Congratulations on scans Misdee and Louise.
Nice bump Pinkali.
I haven't bought anything yet.
Still no kicks or feelings at all.
How are you feeling Dozy ?
I got up at 4am and sobbed. But then I have alot going on at the moment.

Pinkali37 · 09/07/2008 09:19

Lacks - Good website for names!!! I have a book with over 250,000 names in it but you have to really search to find a name that sounds normal. Hardly any of them are English/latin/french names... That's it, boy or girl it will be called BOB.

Pinkali37 · 09/07/2008 09:22

Obs - how far are you now?

I have my 2nd 20 week scan this afternoon so hope baby isn't too tanned from Marjorca , may stil have sun glasses on (now that woudl be a funny scan picture). Tarquin has a whole photo album already pre birth, it's quite funny really.
