CilC · 05/07/2008 08:13

Have a lovely day disneystar!
Congrats Puddingchef!
I too am now getting strange pains, urges to bear down and tightness across my belly. I hope it is not anything...I am one of the few who definitely do not want to go into labour!!! I am all prepared and ready for the 14th. Have had a chat to LO so I hope he understands!
Having said that my DH and DD are ALWAYS LATE and I am always early or ontime...it would be lovely to have another member of my family in sync with me!

Not long to go now (just keep saying it). It is the only way I cope especially when crawling up and down stairs!

Have a good day everyone!

AggiePanther · 05/07/2008 08:39

Congratulations puddingchef!!!

pigleychez · 05/07/2008 08:51

Morning all

Bit of a restless night here... no pains just overheating so again hung out the window for a bit.

Gilly the kid- have a nice day with your sister.

Disney- Enjoy the mother/daughter time today Fingers crossed the pains lead to something.

Clic- looking hopeful for you too

Think im with SK... nothing happening here.. Fine by me (for today anyway).
After todays gathering is over then its operation "get baby out"
Did buy some hot curry sauce in the shopping yesterday

We just watching one of DH's gruesome films as its bit early to be hoovering and that yet.

JacobsPrincess · 05/07/2008 09:22

CilC, I'm glad it's not just me resorting to crawling up and down the stairs!
Baby is really bearing down today and movements have slowed a bit (I don't think he's got any room left!) but no contractions. Just feels like I'm carrying a big poo around! Maybe after all this time it really is a food baby!
Glad you ladies all have lovely days planned. We have to go to a meeting about traffic calming measures on a road near us (what joy!) and then the diary's clear until 18.40 DR WHO!

JacobsPrincess · 05/07/2008 09:23

PS Well done Puddingchef! Sounds like a great birth (if there is such a thing!)

lazyhippo · 05/07/2008 09:31

Hello July ladies, sorry to have been away for a while. Have to admit I haven't read through all of the last threads, but very excited to see all those babies appearing already and hope all the earlies are doing ok. Congratulations puddingchef for having the first July baby, and well done to Rumpel for your degree! Hope everyone who is sore and suffering from pregnancy complications doesn't have too much longer to go. xx

Heffagooday · 05/07/2008 10:00

Congratulations Puddingchef! Our first July baby

EEC · 05/07/2008 10:08

Puddingchef ? huge congrats. Each birth makes it feel a bit more real!

Rumple ?well done ? huge admiration for you...

Silversixpence ? welcome to the moaning throng!

Pigley ? you must be exhausted!

Disney- Have fun with DD. I got my Quinny buzz second hand with everything included ? cosytoes, carrycot, car seat, rain covers etc for £199. Really pleased with the price, I would have paid more. It is more than 11 weeks old, but looks to be in very good condition. Have not used it yet so cannot comment on it really.

Impossible to get those prostaglandins from different bedrooms!

gillythekid · 05/07/2008 10:13

Eaten my own weight in pineapple this morning, taken my evening primrose, drinking my RL tea and at 6 this morning DH was awoken by a v pregnant seductress. Will be messing with me nips every time I get a BH. My sister arrives at midday so labour at around 8pm would be nice. Anyone think it would be good to give birth on 06/07/08? Bring it on, I want to walk again!!!
Disney have a lovely day with your DD
Pigley enjoy your gathering
CilCand JP we will crawl no more before too long, hang on in there (literally)
Happy and healthy weekends to all.

JacobsPrincess · 05/07/2008 10:21

PMSL gilly - I don't know where you get the energy for seduction!

min912 · 05/07/2008 10:32

Yey for puddingchef! Let's hope it kicks off a nice run of easy labours and beautiful babies!

Spoke to midwife yesterday on the phone about my haemoglobin levels - despite taking iron supplement (Spatone) it's only gone from 10.1 a month ago to 10.2 now. As, er, I seem to be digesting at a rapid rate (every time I go to the loo I think 'ooh, maybe this is a sign of early labour' as I'm sure I read somewhere that a good 'clear out' can be a fight/flight type adrenalin response - and then I remember yesterday, and the day before, and the day before!!) I don't think there's any point upping my dosage as I don't think I'm going to absorb any more. But the midwife said 'We'll just have to see what happens with the placenta', which really confused me... just spoke to the doula this morning and she said one has got nothing to do with the other! I wish these professionals could at least agree a bit...

On a non-ranty subject, I had a stretching/breathing/relaxing session with my personal trainer yesterday which was just what I needed, and best of all she didn't charge me! Yey!

Mummywannabe · 05/07/2008 10:49

Morning all

Congratulations puddingchef

Had what i can only assume were contractions all last night. Started in back and worked around to front for about 45-60 seconds every 10-12mins. Very painful, enough to make me moan out loud. Then tailed off at about 4am, what is going on! Any suggestions or words of wisdom?

MINNIE1 · 05/07/2008 11:00

Congratulations puddingchef

We need more babies...

This little one is going no where any time soon, going for a thi curry tonight and might even take advantage of DP!!
DDs going away for the night and god i cant wait for the break! Knowing my luck i will end up in labour on my only night off... Better dash DDs having a major row!!

DonutMum · 05/07/2008 11:52

Congrats pudding.

Am still sat here boiling hot all the time - just taken my temp and it's 37.6. Officially a fever! What a hypochondriac!

Anyway, today is the one day I am banned from giving birth as my birth partners annual bbq is today and we're all off there for the day. Soooooo looking forward to sitting around having people stare and say - ooh, haven't you popped yet. Grr. Ooh, a grumpy cow as well as a hypochondriac. Yippee.

So, am now taking bets on going into labour just as I get there at lunchtime. Also DH won't be able to get home til Monday cos he's in Dubai today.

Right, that's it, snapping out of it!

Hope you all have lovely cool days and we have more babies soon.

sweetkitty · 05/07/2008 12:02

Oh I am SOOOOOO fed up with all these aches and pains today, sitting on my ball right now and everything feels so sore downstairs. This waiting game is horrendous isn't it? Not even overdue yet, when you do go overdue every day feels like 20 I remember waking up in tears as I was still pregnant .

Said to DP we may have to try relations this weekend the look of sheer terror on his face!

disney - loving the idea of a roomab don't know how it woulde get on in this house with 3 cats, it would need to do sofas and curtains as well

pigley - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU (it is today isn't it?) I actually would like to share a birthday with one of my DCs my friends does. DP's birthday on the 14th must remember and get him something I suppose.

min912 - nightmare about the iron situation, maybe you just have low iron levels some people do and it's normal for them, I don't know.

Donutmum - hope you hang on until Monday

pigleychez · 05/07/2008 12:02

Hi all,

Typical, we decided not to do a BBQ today for our family party as the weather outlook was crap and its sunny today!
Still theres time for that to change!

Just cooked a white choc and raspberry cake and a potato bake thing ready for later. The rest is nibbly bits and just stuff that needs a quick 10 min heat up so having a little rest now.

DH is being a star and has hoovered the whole house.

Have to find something nice to wear next!- Now theres a task... usually slobbing around the house in yoga pants and vest top or t-shirt and that wont do!

Hope everyones ok today and those of you with pains have your babies soon

pigleychez · 05/07/2008 12:06

X post with SK

Yes it is Today Thank you

I wouldnt mind baby coming today but just this evening when everyones gone home would be sooooooo much easier

gillythekid · 05/07/2008 12:25

Happy birthday Pigley have a good un!
My sister is driving me to Lakeside for some retail therapy, if I go into labour, I'll have to name the baby Darren or Tracy.

RUMPEL · 05/07/2008 13:12

Happy Birthday PIGLEY! what age are you?

Well done PUDDING!

Am tired, tearful and fed up too today - just want bubba in the moses basket now and to feel human again Lots of sharp pains in the nethers but nowt as yet!

Am off to chill whilst DD asleep and DH watching qulaifying for GP.

Lets all send collective vibes into the stratosphere for us who want our babies out to go tonight .

Trespass · 05/07/2008 14:20

Congratulations Puddingchef!

Happy Birthday Pigley!!

Congratulations Rumpel, don't know how you did it!

Hi to every1 else this fine wknd, hope there's more babies on their way although I'm with Cilc, I'm quite happy to hang on till the 14th, stil can't quite believe I'm going to be responsible for this little helpless live inside me, wow!!

Ok, huge favour to ask. I'm originally from Glasgow and I mentioned to my mum that you were all discussing Empire biscuits and Clooty dumpling on here. I remember her making it when I was younger but she's asked me to ask for the recipe from someone so she can make it when she comes over to stay on tues yum yum!! She said she wants the proper recipe as hers were always too stodgy or dry etc. Hope some1 can oblige.

Still no word from Kaz? Hope she's ok and just unable to get to a computer.

Raining here so enjoy the sunshine those lucky enough to get it (tbh, glad of the cool air!)

EEC · 05/07/2008 14:45

Very very tearful today. Feel really down. Still got a week to go officially, but just can't bear it. Sorry.
