Hi all xx No more babies?

Well Abbie is 3 weeks old today and it is still 2 weeks to my due date She is doing well but still feeding lots - a little but often

I am feeling a little better than I was but still having terrible night sweats. I am waiting on blood test and swab results and if they are neg then I will try Agnus Castus. I have started laying out clean PJ's and bedding before bed so that I am ready in the middle of the night. I am also sleeping on towels. My hair is so wet when i wake I can wring it out

Kids came off on holidays today so have 6 weeks of "I'm bored...." to look forward to....not from the little ones but from the teenagers !!!!! It was hot and sunny today though so fingers crossed that continues and everything will be fine

jocesar · 04/07/2008 19:47

Disneystar- re Quinny- that is a good price and I consider myself an expert as I checked out ebay for a month before I bought mine. I paid £400 for the whole package including car seat etc. On ebay, what you have been offered would cost a minimum of £300 assuming it's in good nick. The other bonus is that if you don't like it or don't use the carrycot much, you can guarentee to get a good price for it on ebay. I've found that they hold their value exceptionally well- seems like everyone wants them- and tbh they do look pretty flashy!!

Blimey! Soo much to catch up on.. This thread isnt going to last much longer!

Rumpel- Thanks for bring the Useful information list forward again.... Sure it will come in useful in the next few weeks.

Congrats on the degree!

Libra1975 - Loving the coloured water idea Ive said to DH recently why cant there be a set sign so that we all know where we stand!

Min- funny isnt it how we all give baby acceptable times to arive.
After Sunday (or even tomorow night) is fine by me! Once this family bbq (or maybe not bbq now) is done then its has the green light

Minipink- Glad abbie is doing well Summer holidays already!!

Ive had a busy day doing lots of housework... worn me out.
once i started i couldnt stop.. cleaned every window and mirror in the house ( including the conservatory which is huge!), wiped down every door, frame and skirting.. then did the weekly shop and got all the food for tomorow- spent a small fortune!!

Laughed with a friend that bubba will come tonight and my cleaning for tomorow will of been in vain!- at least baby would come home to a clean house.

Just flopped on the sofa for a night of well earnt chilling!

sweetkitty · 04/07/2008 20:42

evening yes pigley I agree think we will need another 2 threads at this rate before we all have babies

gilly - what can I say? I know exactly how you feel and no matter how many times people say "it's not forever" and "only X weeks to go" doesn't make it any better. Fingers crossed we go soon and it will all be over.

pigley - wow do you want to come and do my house next week still you'll have a lovely day tomorrow and I think the baby is waiting until after your birthday to arrive.

Libra1975 - I reckon if evolution was really on our side your ears would turn blue when you were ovulating, your nose would go green the minute you were pregnant (cutting out the am I aren't I stuff) and the baby would come with a delivery date set in stone, would make life so much easier wouldn't it?

CliC - glad you found the osteopath helpful.

minipink - cannot believe Abbie is 3 weeks already but glad she is doing well, it's so hot right now won't be hlping your night sweats any.

sleepycat - no July birthdays yet surely we will have one this weekend.

RUMPEL · 04/07/2008 21:00

Evening All,

DISNEY - I would go for the Quinny - I hve 1 and it is great = really good to steer and nippy. I understand your inability to forget but you must be good together to have all those kids and also your Dhs heart probs would have brought you closer together. Sometimes men are just downright stupid!

SLEEPYCAT - a BA in Tertiary Education Futher Education Teaching Qualification - teaching beauty and complementary therapies. I had my own salon for 9 years and then went into teaching, which I love. I will go back to both at some point but have waited so long to have kids I want to enjoy them a bit first.

MINIPINK - hop eyour results come back negative. I had bacterial vaginosis after having Amber and had the sweaty thing going on - had to get antibiotics and they really really upset my tum!

CILC - one of the girls on my Oct 06 mummy club is an osteo - she highly recommends it. Glad it helped and keep going after LO arrives.

Cannot remember now what everyone posted Off to have a glass of red and watch BB.

Night allxxxx

Incidently put a pic om facebook - not got 1 of me preggers yet so it is a wedding 1. Ill get Dh to take a preggy one tomorrow - not sure if the screen will be big enough for it though

sweetkitty · 04/07/2008 21:03

I've just been on the August thread, think they are getting a bit ahead of themselves with their "Signs of Labour" thread have warned them we haven't had a July baby yet and they are not allowed to have babies until we all have

JacobsPrincess · 04/07/2008 21:11

Rumple - I'm multitasking; watching BB and on MN! Congrats on your degree too.
Disney, I'd love a quinny for £250! My parents bought us a massive Mamas & Papas pram/travel system when DS1 was born, and although it is lovely, it's very big and not nippy like a quinny.
Any here use a buggy board? Thought to get one for our pram/DS! but don't want to waste £50 if it's a bit pants.

disneystar · 04/07/2008 21:24

well the quinny got the thumbs up then im glad cos i like it and needed to check whether it was worth it
i have m&p 3 in 1 its lovely springy but can i get the frame in the boot of the car myself no way
for the last 3 days i have had the terrible urge to go to the loo and sittin on the loo the pains are awful like labour pains i know it sounds disgusting but do you reckon your body has a clear out before the day

JacobsPrincess · 04/07/2008 21:54

I've had pains low down, inside iykwim all day today, especially when I'm upright. currently sitting here imagining my cervix ripening, whilst watching a BB water fight. What a way to spend a Friday night!!

MINNIE1 · 04/07/2008 21:58

Hi
God up the walls here!! So hard to keeping up with you chatter boxes...

God this pregnancy has been like forever.. Nothing happening here at all.. Think this baby is to comfi to come out..

disneystar
All good fingers crossed its the start of somthing..

Pigley
Your days sounds just like mine.. SIL had DDs for a few hours and i cleaned the house when i should have put my feet up..

Rumpel
Congrads on the degree...

Having loads of BH today. Seen my consultant during the week and head was engaged. Back again on Tues so going to ask for a induction date.. Best option for me really.

JacobsPrincess, I have used a buggy board for dd1 and found it very good - I had one of the 'seat to go' ones so she could sit down if she was really tired. Also that type is higher off the ground so you are less likely to kick it as you walk along. How old is your ds? My dd2 is 2.8 and I am planning to use a double buggy at first, or she can sit on the front of the 3 wheeler pushchair facing backwards - that's what dd1 used to do until dd2's legs grew too long!

JacobsPrincess · 04/07/2008 22:09

DS was 3 on friday. He's quite tall for his age though. No way would we get him in a double - he's so independant that we can rarely get him in a single pushchair!!

AggiePanther · 04/07/2008 22:18

JacobsP - same here re the low down inside pains - loads of BHs too. Think we're due on the same day aren't we? I wonder if we'll have that race after all

Thepuddingchef · 04/07/2008 23:07

My DH has come up with a fabulous idea, he has told me to eat lots of beetroot so my wee is pink and then I'll know if it's my waters breaking or just incontinence!!!!

Rumpel, sorry to miss the congrats earlier for the degree.

Come on you early julyers, we obv have some lazy uterus's amongst us!!!

(what on earth is the plural for uterus? uteri?)

pigleychez · 04/07/2008 23:10

Oh puddingChef!
Fab news! How exciting...

We have our first July baby

Looking forward to hearing her name and seeing some pics

More babies please!!

ButterflyMcQueen · 04/07/2008 23:11

well done and congratulations!!!

Thepuddingchef · 04/07/2008 23:13

I should have added that my waters broke while on mn at 630pm on weds.....I did actually contimplate posting this info, but thought that was a step too far! as water poured everywhere

ButterflyMcQueen · 04/07/2008 23:16

you should have!!!!

well done you!

Libra1975 · 04/07/2008 23:17

oh congratulations puddingchef

mcchesers · 04/07/2008 23:35

well done puddingchef!!! yay July baby!!

Polyxene · 05/07/2008 01:00

Ooh, Congratulations puddingchef!!!

Another day gone and no action here. Hey ho.

Thanks very much Rumpel for reposting that really useful information list, and Congratulations on your degree!

Right, have attempted 'natural prostaglandins' again as mw was so enthusiastic about them this morning; now better try to get some sleep!

gillythekid · 05/07/2008 05:38

Congratulations to puddingchef our first official July baby, how wonderful, hope all is well.
I've been awake for too long so decided to get up and have some cereal. Nothing to report other than strong BH's and chronic pelvic pain, only due to sleeping, not imminent arrival of baba, unfortunately.
My sister is here from Liverpool today so hoping to go into labour before she leaves tomorrow! Will try to muster up the energy to extract some 'natural prostaglandins' (thanks Polyxene!) from DH if I can remember how to do it!
