Disney - am sweating like a pig. Not nice. But am eating lots of Feast ice lollies which make me feel better. Not at 3am though.

AggiePanther · 03/07/2008 10:59

Morning ladies.
Jodie - things sound hopeful
Disney - hope you manage to hang on till you have company.

Well I've had a bit of a show this morning ...am pretty sure about this one which makes me think that what I thought was a show a couple of weeks ago was not.

I read on MN I think that a show can look like 'someone sneezed in your gusset' (mmm lovely -sorry for TMI) and that's what this looked like. Also there's a lot of dampness down below.
I know it could still be days or even weeks (I'm 39+1) but if it's not today I hope he hangs on till Sunday at least as it's DDs birthday tomorrow and party on saturday.

Mummywannabe · 03/07/2008 11:00

Hi
Mcheesers - ouch, must be driving you nuts

Sweetkitty/Pigley - my nan died the week i conceived this one. So i really do feel like she sent me a gift.

Disney - sound like things are progressing for you, i know what you mean about that feeling with period that you described. i had this in the night and in my hazy state thought 'oh i'm gonna come on', then woke up a bit more and thought erm no!

I was so so dizzy last night, could barely stand up, but gone today. How odd!

39+2 for me today, not that i'm counting. DH has been predicting for weeks that today is the day but don't think so.

Trespass · 03/07/2008 11:30

hi ladies, sorry to hear of all your aches and pains. I think I'll def miss being pregnant but can't wait for all the ailments that come with it to disapear!!

Mcchesers, I really feel for you, I keep getting itchy in places but can't imagine it being constant, big hugs.

Disney, will be watching this space for news of your little one arriving anytime-fingers crossed for you! mind you, Aggie and Mummy sound very close also!!

I reckon Kaz must have had/be having the baby or I'm sure she would find a way of keeping in touch and letting us know otherwise, ooh how exciting!

had my last docs apt the other day, saw a different doctor but still had to have full check, bp, weight, give blood, and of course the dreaded internal but this doc is a slim man thank god!! baby has engaged, 38+2 today. I have to go to the midwife on sun 13th if the baby has'nt come before, then they give you 6 days and induce you-I'd rather wait a bit longer but don't suppose I have the choice! will have a quiet word with baby nearer the time if need be!

EEC, where in France did you live and did you have any children over here? how long were you here? we thought of French names but couldn't agree with any so Louis and Marie out of the question.

Heffa and Rumpel, hope carpal tunnel not too painful today, and hope it goes after the births, couldn't bear it any longer!! also walking round with hardly any clothes on either due to being too hot!

have a good day ladies,

ButterflyMcQueen · 03/07/2008 11:37

oooh Aggie sounds hopeful!

We seem to be having a lot of false alarms ! None here no signs at all really apart from feeling a little more quck tempered and tetchy than normal

trying to do very little today as yesterday i decided that the decking needed bleaching and spent hours scrubbing it [ hmm]

ds 1 ( my childcare) has gone off camping for five days which could be slightly worrying but its almost the weekend so hoping lots of friends could step in ( might be a good idea to warn them!)

mummypig very very well done great size and natural to boot

wish i could stop the urge to clean - it s like an addiction

Trespass · 03/07/2008 12:01

blimey Butterfly, don't know where you get the energy! my kitchen floor needs mopping...??

ButterflyMcQueen · 03/07/2008 12:03

its awful trespass!

Yesterday i did kitchen - back vestibule and hallway ( which is tiled and a mare) floors on hands and knees

used two cloths - the minute i had finished i thought - right i will have to do them again tomorrow as they are not clean enough

house is on the big side - i had dp vacuuming at 11 last night! sounds obsessional but i do hate not having things under control at this time in pg

Trespass · 03/07/2008 12:07

I know what you mean, I seem to have a day where I do most of the house then suffer for it for a couple of days, instead of being sensible and stretching it out over a few days! Ah well, mum comes to stay for a while on Tues and I know she'll get stuck in. Anyway, you take it easy!!

EEC · 03/07/2008 12:08

tresspass- we were in Brittany - near Dinan, for just over a year - the DCs went to school in the village and we made a real effort to not meet any english people so we could all learn French. The only french name (well Breton name) we are considering is Yann. I like Elise but DH not keen. My parents have a house there so we have been going every year for 10 nyears. We have a cottage out there now, so will be back frequently. really sad not to be going this summer.

Butterfly - wish I could start urge to clean!

ButterflyMcQueen · 03/07/2008 12:10

Yann is delightful

EEC · 03/07/2008 12:11

I'm off to clean kitchen floor... (after I've eaten a mars icecream!)

Trespass · 03/07/2008 12:16

snap EEC, we do avoid the english areas for that exact reason. been here 10mths now but learning the language has been harder than we thought and these past 2mths I've just given up, hard enough being pregnant out here without my family etc without the pressures of learning another language! I take my hat off to all those who were studying/taking exams during their pregnancies. hey, Yann is a cool name and Elise is very nice, hhmmm, will run that past my DP later but he is soooo fussy! at least you still have a cottage out here, that's a great escape when you want away!

CilC · 03/07/2008 12:32

Hi Trespass - DH was offered post near Versaille January this year, just after I found out I was pregnant. Normally I would have jumped at the chance, but I felt so sick and a gf of mine who has married a frenchman said it can be very hard if you do not know the language. That combined with pregnancy put me off so we said no and I sort of now regret it.
WHile researching it I came across this blogger called Petite Anglaise - have you read about her? Aparently she has just released a book.
Anyway gf has five children all with french sort of names - Elise, Amelie, Lea Christophe and Clementine. All under 7!!! A few ideas...
I have a German friend whose son name is Jan -pronounced Yann. But everyone says it with a J which really really annoys her/him so much so they are now relocating to Switzerland! There are other reasons but she seriously says that is one of them!!! LOL

Am in bed today, in soooo much pain. Really sad about it as today I was supposed to meet DD teacher for next year, but I just can not move. The bumps and jars I get from wheelchair are even too much for me today. I actually feel like the baby has moved. He does not seem so wide across me...hate to think that blidy MW was right and LO is engaged!!!

Oh well at least being locked up in my room I can not get into any trouble or yell at anyone! DH thinks my coping mechanism this pregnancy has been to yell at everyone! He says he is now afraid of me . Imagine how I would be pushing LO out. I have heard some women can get very heated and angry while giving birth. Hate to think what I would be like. I was so much calmer and kinder last pregnancy. I suppose each onbe is different and now having experienced both extremes I feel my job is done!

CilC · 03/07/2008 12:36

p.s. Is anyone on MN group called this? I have a friend request on facebook and can not figure who this is???

Andreas Mühlbacher added you as a friend on Facebook

JODIEhavingababy · 03/07/2008 12:51

Afternoon...

Well still here and no new aches and pains, just the same old period type cramps and backache, Oh I do hope my sister is right! (I had my show 2 weeks ago today too) I;m really trying NOT to get my hopes up, but it's really hard! I'm sure I;ll still be 2 people in a fortnight!

I went to reflexology this morning and all the relative pressure points were very sore and tender, so fingers crossed. Am seeing the midwife tomorrow so we'll se. I keep thinking of LIBRALADY, coz isn't this what happened to her? Think positive thoughts everyone please!!!!!!!!

Anyway enough about me, how's everyone else, other than hot and sweaty! If I don;t remember over the weekend - Happy birthday Pigley for sunday.

Minkus · 03/07/2008 12:52

Trespass I love the name Louis, is our fave boys name at the mo. Changes weekly though

BMcQ are you sure that you're not nesting! Is labour imminent perchance?

I was doing the dusting when dh got home last night and he was so shocked his mouth fell open- I had to tell him that it was't nesting because I really really didn't want to do it. Just had to because Sil was visiting this morning .

CilC · 03/07/2008 13:04

ok just discovered they are from austria and we have no one from there on our thread...do we?

Heffagooday · 03/07/2008 13:16

Ooh, my nephew is called Louis (middle name), it's beautiful.

Re nesting - I told DH yesterday that I'd gone a little mad and started polishing all the furniture (which was true) and he got all worried that I'd polished the sofa I'm not the only one with pregnancy-brain in this house.

CilC - the name's not ringing any bells.

Lucky people living in France! My brother's just bought a place out there (he's relocating) - it looks fabulous and I've been getting very jealous.

Trespass - thanks for the wishes about carpal tunnel. It does seem OK today which is good. I still can't clench my right hand properly though.

I'm looking forward to hearing from Kaz!

Trespass · 03/07/2008 13:26

Cilc, how awful for you being in so much pain, stay in bed and rest as much as poss, and yell whenever you want lol!! don't recognise that name on facebook, wouldn't accept if I were you.
I can fully understand why you would put off moving to France. we came last Sept 1st and conceived around middle of Oct although we had planned to try after new yr,(I was not a happy bunny over xmas and ny!) It has been difficult at times and I sometimes regret coming over, but that's only because of the language barrier. The hosp lingo is the worst and I know that none of the midwives speak any English so that should be interesting!! Liking those French names!!

Minkus I do like Louis, I was saying it in my head as Lewis pronouncing the 's' but I get it now-duh! It would be lovely to have a French name, even a middle one. Hey, we only get 3 days to register the name of baby or the government will do it for us lol! keep those names coming tho!!

positive thoughts going out to you Jodie! wish I could find some1 to give me reflexology, no-one in this area does it at all!! DP gives them a rub every night tho bless him.

only put a wash on and feel worn out, prob all this MNing lol!

gillythekid · 03/07/2008 13:32

Soooo jealous of all of you able to clean! I'm dying to do the windows and hoover up some blue fur but I can just about manage a stumble from room to room! DH taking extended lunch to drive me to midwife. Been sleeping when I can this week, it's a luxury I won't get next time round!
McChesers I really feel for you with the itching.
Good luck to all those with 'signs', it must be frustrating not knowing!
Hope all new mums are doing well and that my LO won't keep me waiting too much longer so I can join you all!

pigleychez · 03/07/2008 13:39

Im going to cry!!!

Just caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror. My t-shirt keeps riding up and i caught a glimpse of what i think are 2 big stretch marks underneath my bump!

My first ones!! I thought i had got away with it DH has been rubbing bio oil on religiously, bless him.
He shall be examining them when he gets home as its tricky to see down under my bump properly.

Funny as this morning it was really itchy down across the bottom of my bump...

Oh well...

Off to the midwife later and think i might buy some bits to do some baking later.

Minkus · 03/07/2008 13:40

Yep MNing is exhausting - ds just gone for a nap and I suppose I should too really. Conserve my energy and all that

Minkus · 03/07/2008 13:48

Ah Pigley don't worry lovey- they'll fade away to nowt soon enough.

Anyone else having to go bra-less? I'm finding that although my poor floppy boobs could do with the support it's just really uncomfortable having something pressing all round, esp after eating

isaidno · 03/07/2008 14:03

poor pigley; don't worry - they will fade, and you will forget about them. You have to make some sacrifices to make beautiful babies xxx

RUMPEL · 03/07/2008 14:21

HI All,

CILC - you are a poor wee soul - you have had a terrible time of it - I am positive that this bubba will be an Angel to make up for all your horrid pregnancy stuff

I thought I might be 'preparing' yesterday. Am so tired as cannot sleep at night due to hot, uncomfy and peeing and thirsty - so frustrating. Anway went for a lie down when DD was asleep and bubba was realy moving around and I was getting cramps and pains. Think he/she was nestling in! Not due till 20th but I am positive I will go early - DH reckons the 10th is the day - I reckon now would be good!

DISNEY - hope it kicks off for you.

Been cleaning like mad here too and weeding again today.

BEEPBEEP - lovely birth story too - so far everyone seems to have had an okay birth.
Who is going to have a horrid one then - baggsy not me!!

Well must go entertain DD

Take care all
xxx
