I missed out on all the facebook malarkey when I was in hosp - where are you guys hanging out on there?

gigglegirl · 23/06/2008 14:02

i can send you the list I have made if it helps sazzles??

gigglegirl · 23/06/2008 14:04

i must get more familiar with facebook - I have it and get stuff posted on there but not sure I totally get it! Bad really as we run a graphic and web design business!

cheerfulvicky · 23/06/2008 14:10

Hello all,
I haven't been on here for ages, I sometimes lurk but I can barely keep with with you all, hehe
Just wanted to say hi and I'll hopefully be about a little more from now on, I hope you are all doing good.

All this talk of hospital bags is making me nervous though... I mean, we've all got AGES to go yet, err... right?

Do you know what sazzles, you are right! I checked and there you all are. Must update my profile so people can actually see what I look like.

Hi cheerfulvicky are you now on mat leave? And yes, it is real, we are definately having babies, despite what dizzy tells you!

PetitFilou1 · 23/06/2008 14:59

TS Does that mean the birth will be so fast I won't know what's happened? I hope so... !

PetitFilou1 · 23/06/2008 15:02

Shopping lovers - can you find me a nice maternity top that is loose and flowy please in a size 12 or a medium. All my fitted ones are coming up too short and tight - I'm really uncomfortable. No good buying bigger size normal clothes as I have narrow shoulders and am 32 or 34 across the chest. Please help or otherwise I'm never going to get any blardy work done as I keep looking for clothes instead

dizzydixies · 23/06/2008 15:05

Babies, what babies?!?!? Are we not just arranging a night out or something on here?!?!?!!?

just a quicky ladies to say I have wasted spent morning in hospital getting GD test done which consisted of turning up at 9.39, having bloods taken, drinking some horrible glucose stuff, sitting in a waiting room for 2 and a half hours , more bloods taken and literally dismissed by stroppy midwife

she said that the tests were a waste of time and weren't hospital protocol anymore and why was I bothering I wasn't aware I had asked to spend my monday morning rushing to the hosp/ paying parking/ getting up to the ward and sitting there on the hard seats - was told would be taken in again at 11:40 and had to go and ask what was happening at 12:10

I know they're busy but seriously what a farking PITA - I did manage a wee snooze on the seats so now have a crick in my neck and probably snored like some preggy down and out who'd wandered in for the day

off to take dd1 dancing now - will catch up on all the chat later once girls are in bed

Sun shining with intermittent showers for all you weather watchers

dizzydixies · 23/06/2008 15:10

petitfilou here's some but if you're only a 12 why not pop into Matalan/New Look and buy some light airy long line tunics?

here

here

here

some on here

long vest top here

dizzydixies · 23/06/2008 15:11

sorry just read your no use bigger size part of post - serves me right for trying to do it in a hurry

dizzydixies · 23/06/2008 15:17

long flowy and nice norks too

something about this I like

wee bit different?

CaptainCaveman · 23/06/2008 15:42

petit how about one of these beauties? Maybe miamla could knock one up for you, or maybe I could try .

CaptainCaveman · 23/06/2008 15:44

Am being a domesticated Goddess and making Lasagne for tea. Anyone like some? It will be ready around 6pm.
Prior to that am just about to put teeny tiny very cute baby clothes in washing machine

dizzydixies · 23/06/2008 15:45

lasagne here too

but NO magnum whites dh has just announced last nights was the last one

right now we're late for dancing

CaptainCaveman · 23/06/2008 15:49

What no magnums? I have original and Mayan variety in the freezer, just waiting for me, only me and no-one else .

dizzy suggest you dance by the supermarket and pick some up, or go on strike at non-magnum-ness

Shazza2002 · 23/06/2008 15:57

Actually, I'm with Dizzy on the organising a night out bit. Sounds far more easier

Buckets · 23/06/2008 16:02

I got a nice long floaty top in Mothercare for a tenner the other week. Much of their reduced stuff was quite sack-of-potatoes-ish when tried on but this is a sleeveless one with a couple of pleats from the bust down and counteracts the sluttiness of my boobtube-miniskirt on a scorching day .

gigglegirl · 23/06/2008 16:02

nothing to say except aaaaaarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhhhh - what a frustrating day!

I wish I was having lasange for my tea - haven't been shopping though so it's egg and toast!

Buckets · 23/06/2008 16:06

Ooh I made lasagne today too, why are all gripped by that urge on such a warm day then? Mine has roast aubergine and peppers in and an eggy moussaka-style white sauce, I'd actually call it a moussaka lasagne if it didn't put me at risk from Greeks and Italians.

I don't get Magnums, it's just a choc ice on a stick and nothing Eva Longoria says can make it glamorous. But then I don't get Krispy Kreme donuts either. I'll get me coat...

gigglegirl · 23/06/2008 16:10

please can somebody go to the supermarket for me, buy all these scrummy things and stock my cupboard - i just can't cope - all I seem to manage to buy is bread, milk, eggs, weetabix and pasta and then I dash out again! I would be really grateful and so would my DH and kids! alternatovely you can just deliver these gorgeous meals and snacks to me at relevant times of the day

bealcain · 23/06/2008 16:15

nothing quite so domesticated here tonight....kids just had jelly babies and me frutella....mmmmmmmmmm

thinking i'll do them bacon egg and chips for tea...how bad am i....ooops. i did have to get DH from work thogh due to conjunctivits, so of course i was planning on doing souffles, prawn cocktails and amny other lovely nibbles for me and dh but her interrupted me!!

anyone else not bought clothes yet??

PetitFilou1 · 23/06/2008 16:33

Thanks dizzy - nothing has really grabbed me so far - maybe I'm just not in the mood... There are some good bf tops on bella mama, I really want to buy them but they won't sodding fit me atm will they. Maybe I'll just put dd's pink tent on (grumpy emoticon)

Don't know about you VG but those Isabella Oliver wrap tops just ain't covering it anymore. I'm going to give them to my cousin who is 5ft 11 and 4 months pregnant with no2 and has a MINISCULE bump

CC - I particularly like the Margaret Thatcher bow at the top of one of those - nothing like a good accessory is there

We have to buy ds1s school uniform tonight -how scary is that. He's going to look very sweet.

PetitFilou1 · 23/06/2008 16:36

and yes Magnums. They are a massive choc ice on a stick. Give me a Twister or just a plain old cider lolly anyday (hides from dizzy)

cyteen · 23/06/2008 16:37

Buckets I'm with you on the Magnum issue, but then I hate choc ices anyway, always have done. Fruit ice lollies, now...that's another matter - have been getting back into those with a vengeance now that we're living somewhere with a freezer again, and they make the baby kick like mad which always makes me laugh.
