g-string/thong interchangable here too but was really hoping she was talking about the other thong(aka flip-flops). NO G-STRINGS in my bag !!!! Again, if you have a CSec...it wouldn't be a bother.

cyteen worry not about the many questions!
your suggestion of fabrics would be lovely. make sure you pre-wash all the fabrics you're using before you cut anything out. fabrics shrink slightly differently after washing and you don't want your front to be smaller than your back!
definitely feasible for a newbie
stitch together first and then put the border on
you could cut the cotton and fleece into small squares and do a kind of quilted fabric. that way you'd have a combination of fabrics on one side and then just do a plain fleece back
trust me, its easier than it seems
I'm just off to cook some dinner now but i'll be right back with full instructions!

TwilightSurfer · 22/06/2008 20:59

Checkbook BALANCED!!! YEAH!!

Sazzles have you completed your review??

OP posts:
miamla · 22/06/2008 20:59

TS i had hoped she was joking about packing a thong!

Buckets · 22/06/2008 21:02

Bealcain, Petra is in Jordan, shows up in loads of movies, most notably Indiana Jones & the Last Crusade. You know, where you go through a crevice in the rock and come upon an ancient palace / temple thing with lots of awe-inspiring music.

TS, I remember the mess! I had my waters broken by the MW, felt like someone had thrown a bucket of warm water over me. Flipflops are a good idea for the hospital bag actually given filthy NHS showers etc.

Why are they called Parentcraft classes? Tis a bit misleading to say the least.

TwilightSurfer · 22/06/2008 21:09

Okay DD is really getting on my last nerve. I just found her lunch (from three hours ago) in a container in the fridge. When I asked her about it she said, "oh i'm not hungry. i put it in the fridge for maybe tomorrow or the next day." I believe she's a bit HEADSTRONG!!

Yes, flip-flops are a much needed item while in any hospital. They are a bit funny with socks but WHO CARES everyone's looking not at your feet but your most of the time you're there!!

Oh Petra...sorry I must have missed that question. Yes AWESOME location.

Hi All

How do you all manage to chat do much esp. when you have work to do (ahem Sazzles).

Sazzles - I know you should be working but am not able to make Friday's trip to the zoo (or ooz as it is known for some strange reason in our house) I have my first gtt appointment at 8.45 then another at 10.45 then strangely another checkup at 12.45 - I thought you only had 2 appointments for a GTT.

Baby is very wriggly again tonight - but cannot make out if she's head down or feet down or just dangling between the two!!

DH took me to dinner tonight - i was expecting nice pub good steak and atmosphere - I got TGI Fridays???? So lost all sense of humour and sulked all through dinner and back home - now he asks if I'm up for favours????? I know exactly what he wants and the answer is NO!!

Going to finish watching KInky boots then feign sleep.

VintageGardenia · 22/06/2008 21:48

Aaaargh there is so much to read!

Me too on the sewing machine, have lovely newish one (as in about 4 years old but hardly used) keen to make stuff always had problems with tension though. Have made quilts by hand before but haven't left enough time to do so for this babba!

Oh have to read all these pages, will be back later.

Hope the meets & tours went well today.

Buckets · 22/06/2008 21:59

But Oops, the dessert menu and the milkshakes at TGIs!! LOL at being invoiced afterwards although there's not much I wouldn't do for a big ice cream sundae.

Good job Sazzles.

DD is now officially in bedroom for remainder of day. I'm at a complete loss for words regarding her behaviour today. Have stooped to telling her I'll phone the doctor if she doesn't improve. I guess it's best she's this way today because tomorrow she has to go with me to my OB/GYN appointment. Fingers crossed it will be out of her system by then.

I wonder where Poppy is now?

YES! It get's that hot here. But it's not the heat that gets you, it's the humidity. I'm very surprised at how cool it's been all week. Almost felt like FALL. The grass stopped growing and the leaves on the tree out front started to shed. I'm dreading the next few weeks. August and September are nightmarish....

OP posts:
TwilightSurfer · 22/06/2008 22:43

Local forcast shows an average of 32 for the week. Use 37379 at weather.com if you're really interested. Today's been uncomfortable. Only stuck my head out once to see what DD was doing in the front yard. Guess it's a good thing I sat out on the porch in the dark this morning....when it was cool.

Trade you Dizzy.

Sazzles here's a little location note. I live next to this. Our house now is about a mile away and the family farm is about three miles from it as well. In highschool my friends use to call me GLOW-BABY.

When DH and I were first married we lived in an awesome apartment that was next to this which is just down stream from where we are presently. Lots of energy making going on in my neck of the woods.
