Quote from one website: "If you notice blood tinged mucous and are earlier than thirty-six weeks call your doctor immediately."

Captain there was a bloodier looking plug picture but I selected the nice picture for thread sake.

Sazzles I was just going to post that I would have to chunk my theory as my own mother wore size 5s and I was 7lbs (just like DD1). Just passing the time with idle thought I guess.

Okay, I feel better now. One site said you could loose your plug "weeks" before delivery. {{{hugs}}}

alittlebitshy · 20/06/2008 19:19

But you should ask the midwives etc... esp after last week's bleed etc etc.

though

Hi CC. Must say that that sounds a lot like my show. I also know that it doesn't necessarily mean anything imminent is afoot as with DD I thought this put us in business (9 days over by this stage and getting desperate), but the maternity ward were having none of it. Said it could be weeks. I'd def. call the hospital/midwife though just to check.

CaptainCaveman · 20/06/2008 19:32

ok ok I will ring

cc falls on floor under weight of concerned mners

alittlebitshy · 20/06/2008 19:35

If you were 36 weeks, 37 weeks or whatever I'd say "ooh keep us posted" but you;re not, plus you had the bleed last week so I'd say just to be sure give 'em a call!!

CC i third the above and sincerely hope you're on the phone to someone as i type this

not had a good day today. due to inadequecies of my direct boss my cover isn't due to start til next thurs and my mat leave starts on friday. he's asked if i'll do an extra week and trying to bribe me with promises of a big farewell lunch and money for time owing to me (instead of taking the time). Erm no in a word, i won't be doing an extra week...their staff issue is not my problem. they've known for 20 weeks about roughly when i was leaving them so tough!

also, i slapped someone on the way home. she was a cyclist, had just jumped a red light and tried to mow down me and another pedestrian (we were on a green man). she told me to get out of her f-ing way so i slapped her on her bare arm. i felt bad but you know what, i'd have had more pain than a slap if she had actually knocked me over.
i was fine til i came home and told DP about it, he told me i should be careful in case she's hit me back and that started me crying. he then commented about how it was amazing what whoremoans can do to someone. he's made me cry since because he's being so lovely (currently in the kitchen cooking dinner).

albs have you decided about the tour on sunday? otherwise pregnancy1 its just you and me kid!

dizzydixies · 20/06/2008 20:01

have sent CC text too to see if any update

gigglegirl · 20/06/2008 20:08

CC - hope you've made that phone call - you'll never regret phoning but if you don't you might wish you had. Sure it is nothing as like everyone says a show can happen weeks before and I think I'm right in saying you could just have part of the mucous plug come out at first so you could just have a bit of a show!

Hi guys, readyforbed was ready for a name change (well, really fed up with being knackered all the time so figured the name didn't help... certainly wasn't helping in other quarters, mainly due to knackeredness )

Now going for mental calm... here's hoping!

bealcain, sorry to hear you are having such a rough time of it. Saw you on another thread earlier - I have much the same issue with DH snoring - have ended up elsewhere numerous times at 3am... (oh I wish that was as exciting as it sounded).

VG, looked more into the snoring thing you posted and there were concerns from people over it being a blag... so have bought some lavender essential oil - didn't cure the snoring last night... and will get some marjoram from online, see if I can do a DIY version. I'll let you know if it works.

CC, sorry, can't help on a show as didn't have one with either. Keeping everything crossed and hope things are ok.

Sazzles looking good at the mo for next Friday, will keep you posted.

TS sorry for messing up your list!

DH officially NOT VERY HAPPY about the car, I refrained from the obvious comments in the interest of marital relations.

Plasterer coming at 8am tomorrow morning , I suppose it's a good thing as it does mean DC3's room can be ready before she arrives, but still... 8am on a saturday?!
