Just woke AGAIN. DH decided to take his old clunker truck to the office so I could sleep. He'll come home when my truck is ready and we'll drive out to the shop together. DD was even kind enough to find her own breakfast (pop tart and choc milk). I must really look bad today. Just 4 to 7 weeks left.......somebody pinch me.

Just got word another highschool classmate had twins. That's 5 sets of twins out of 100 girls. Does anyone think that statistic is above average too?

Really fed up and hot today and ankles have started swelling - never mind only 6 weeks on Monday!

Also can't sleep at night due to snoring DP and not being able to get comfortable.

TS - not important but next time you do a stats update could you update my kids ages to 13 months, 8 and 12!

Only two working days to go to mat leave (next Thur and Fri) and can't wait.

afternoon ladies,

i really need some t.l.c. and support today. As of yesterday my homebirth is a no no i offically have pre-eclampsia. Which is very wierd as not had with either of the boys and it's not a new partner...

Also my S.P.D. has really flared up and it took me 30mins to get out of bed this morning, cant lift my children up and can only walk very slowly. Am being induced at end of July for pre-eclampsia unless things get worse. Is it really wrong of me to wish that they would just so i can be rid of this pain??

Aww that really sucks (((bealcain))) I'm glad they're keeping an eye on you for the pre-eclampsia, but it must still be hard having to adjust your expectations re. the birth and deal with all the worry and pain.

Have you got someone to look after you and give you lots of actual hugs?

DH not exactly 'touching' me much this pregnancy, think my firends have felt baby move more than DH, to say he's uniterested would be the understatement of the centuary. He;s also very pleased that i'm not allowed homebirth. Typical man he says 'Well the outcome is the same' grrrr

hello all you v preganat ladies! hope you are all well? sorry for not posting for aaaaaaaaaaaaaages. quick recap , all was going well till a slight bleed at 24 weeks but nothing to worry about , now have just been to midwife for 32 week appointment and have to go for a scan on monday as bump is measuring off the charts and also she has no idea what posi the baby is lying in! typical , my dd was 8 11 so could just be that this one will be big but does anyone else know what happens if they decide its massive at this stage?

Oh Bealcain what rotten luck. Maybe you were abducted by aliens? What are you 33wks (going by my date)? You're already doing well pre-eclampsia-wise. Have you got some cocodamol on prescription for the SPD? Have you seen an osteopath? I hear they can work miracles if you're not too unstable to touch.

Buckets, yes 33weeks today. Got co-codomol for SPD and P.E.T headaches. Dont think i'll be able to convince DH another one is a good idea after this!! lol

mummypud, they'll just monitor you i should imagine. If they decide at about 38wks that it's too big to fit then C-section but if you've had a big one Vaginally you should be ok. They may just want to induce you early (like 38/39) to ensure it;s not HUGE
you may find it's just a growth spurt and it'll even out as the weeks go on

no i had my dd by c section after going through the labour she was big and as she was back to back she got stuck ..

Mummypud YEAH with a scan you get to see the baby...tape measures and palpations have not registered high on the list around here, seems their often wrong anyway.

Okay here's a wild thought that I just wanted to throw out to the group. Is there any similarity between shoe size and baby weight?? I'm going strictly off US sizing BUT I wore a size 7 when I had DD (she was 7lbs 1oz). Now I'm pushing a size 8. Do you think I'll have an 8lb baby?? Trying to figure how all that would convert for UK...brain isn't cooperating.

Pre-eclampsia symptoms Ladies please look! Bealcain's headache's made me google it as I've had so many migraines this pregnancy.
(In fact I did the most irresponsible thing I've probably ever done today, driving home with the semi-visible alien from the Predator movie just to the right of my vision. I just wanted to get home and pop some pills to stop it getting worse but it's actually pretty unforgiveable isn't it?)

Buckets {{{hugs}}} Stress/Fear can set off mild pre-clamptic (word? not sure) symptoms. Try to stay calm and relax...even if it is drug induced. I pushed the preclampsia envelope with DD1....was working 60+ hour weeks basically on call 24/7 with no down time. Earned me admission to the hospital 20 days before my due date for a wonderful day of relaxation, monitoring and fluids. I never returned to work. Within 48 hours all my symptoms disappeared and I went on to deliver naturally (but with pain meds) just five days before my due date. Just BREATH, think ocean waves gently crashing on a beautiful beach, turn on some Bob Marley, and close your eyes.......

For those of you who have laboured previously....what did your show look like if you had one? Sorry for TMI - I've just passed a lot of brown stained jelly like substance, kind of like bogeys in consistency. I'm thinking it could be old stuff from the bleed but not had any bleeding since last saturday, and this is waaay thicker than vaginal discharge. I also considered it could be the amount of jelly they used when doing internals with speculum, but the last one of those was over a week ago and would have worked its way out by now.
No pain, just jelly central down there!

I never saw my show BUT jelly.....jelly I'd associate with show. CAPTAIN {{{{hugs}}}} are you on your way to the hospital again!!!
