Kaz1967 · 12/06/2008 08:33

Jodie don't mention the move was up half the night worrying in tears and looking at other properties and ones to rent up there just in case. Email from solicitor yesterday they are having problems with the person I am buying from their solicitor cannot contact them and property is unregistered and they are having problems obtaining the title deeds I really really do not need this now.

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 08:55

Ahh KAZ sorry to hear that, you will get there in the end, promise

mcchesers · 12/06/2008 09:09

Ugh Kaz, why now? There is an end in sight and I'm sure it won't take long to sort out.

Feeling much more positive now and know that I was just trippin yesterday. SK..of course you are right!

Welcome Aggie

Twinkle - keep us posted.

I'm trying to decide whether to stay up now that I am up or try to get up and get to cleaning.

catec · 12/06/2008 09:59

Wow - a few busy days at work and it takes forever to catch up!

Love all the info on BFing - cheers.

Congrats TJuice - love the name Elodie. What a busy week you've had! Hope all is going well with you.

SweetKitty - thanks for the sleep bra advice - I have also purchased one from Figleaves.

Welcome Aggie.

Not much news here - have been crazy busy at work - my workload seems to have increased incrementally with my waist measurement over the last 6 months (it should really work round the other way!). Still, only 2 weeks and 2 days to go till I finish up. Woo hoo!! Getting a lot tougher, both mentally and physically. Still walking to and from work every day although what used to take me 20 minutes now takes at least 30 minutes. Really sore bump muscles in the last 10 minutes of each stretch (still can't really complain - not with you lot with SPD!).

I haven't had any BH yet - is that normal? I'm only 34 weeks so maybe I will start getting soon.

Can someone add me to the list next time it's updated? 25 July is my DD. Girl (Daisy).

Anyway, back to work - argh! Have a good day all.

ohh jodie thanks loads for that -the little boy/girl bit at the bottom is my secret obsession!

tired today after dp woke me rawling round the bed - i was not amused

welcome Aggie and Donutmum -once we did not moan all the time!! honest!

EEC · 12/06/2008 10:56

Hi there Aggie and Donutmum.

Kaz, what a worry for you. It's really not what you need. Do you have a back up plan. Where are you living now? Hope it sorts itself out asap.

Re hospital visits. I actually enjoyed mine - and now LO has turned, I am actually looking forward to starting labour. It's not that it's not awful - cos it is but somehow I feel really positive about it thids time. I know I'll get through it and I can't wait to see LO and get my own body back again.

Agree babies v different. DS wanted to be held all the time. DD perfectly happy on her own looking around and gurgling. (not that I didn't cuddle her too!)

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 11:07

Hi, sorry to run off, but did that post and internet connection failed.... So welcome donut mum, hope Homes Under The Hammer was good

Wierdly, I'm looking ofrward to labour now too (you first timers take heart that us 'veterans' are looking forward to it!) Went to Yoga last night and she talked us through each stage and the best positions and breathing techniques (sp?) and I know that once you get in the 'zone' your body takes over, but it was nice to have a 'refresher'

pigleychez · 12/06/2008 11:21

Morning all,

Welcome to Aggie and DonutMum Hope you both had OK pregnancys so far.

Our list is very long now! How much longer till our next graduate!

Kaz- I hope things get sorted for you soon. I remember being so stressed when we moved and i wasnt pregnant then!

DH is off today and we are waiting in for our Ikea delivery. Have a feeling its going to be a long day!!

Weather isnt great here today, currently raining hard so cant be bothered to go out for more wool to continue my knitting.

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 11:35

Oh PIGLEY has it been 2 weeks already? gosh times going too fast!! Does your DH swear as much as mine when trying to assemble flat pack furniture? If so, enjoy tonight.... I'd go out if I were you....

pigleychez · 12/06/2008 11:43

Jodie- Yeah 2 weeks has flown!
Why does the day always seem twice as long when your waiting for something.

I think im completely paraniod now about baby's arrival. Keep dreaming/thinking about going into labour. Dream about my waters breaking every night or going into labour at the big annual family bbq in a few weeks(which is miles away)or what if im in the shopping centre when my waters break.
Think its just the unknown as i hate having no control over things.

Also anyone elses baby get hiccups alot? Baby seems to get them loads lately. Usually at least once a day and quite often in the evenings.
However saying that this is the second lot of hiccups so far today.

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 11:58

It's quite natural to get paranoid at this stage.. I keep dreaming that my contractions start in the night and I don't pay any attention to them then when I'm giving DS his breakfast I have the urge to push and I give birth on the dining room floor with DS trying to help and the dog locked outside in the rain!!!

I think I'd take fewer and fewer trips out now, and closer to home, unless your with someone. That's just me though as I'm super paraoid about waters breaking in the middle of tesco's or something!! Early contractions I can deal with (or atleast I did last time!)

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 11:59

Meant to say that this time bubba hasn't had hiccups (yet) But DS had them all the time, it was quite sweet, but annoying when he got them at night!!!! He's still prone to hiccups now!

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 12:14

I wish baby would stop poking me in the fanjo. It hurts abit!

CilC · 12/06/2008 12:25

LOL at Jodie's baby list. Funny I was so bored yesterday I contemplated bolding and underlining sections of the list!

Welcome Aggie and Donut!

My LO has the hiccups constantly. One of the advantages of him being transverse is that I have yet to be kicked in the fanjo!

Ribs still sore but so much better. Have not been able to wear a bra for sometime . After this baby is born I fear they will end up on the floor! They are begging for support! Anyway when LO hiccups they jiggle - which is very embarassing!

Sorry to hear about house Kaz. I will not tell you my horror story, just cross all my bits for you that it works out!

Have not been hungry lately, but then in the last few days I can not stop thinking about and eating food! DH bought some biscuits and a cake yesterday...for the week...I have already consumed most of them... .

OK must try and find something, anything constructive to do...might go and read a trashy mag!

AggiePanther · 12/06/2008 12:27

Hi all and thanks for the welcomes
I went to the midwife yesterday and she told me the baby was back to back - thinks it may be because the semi reclined position i spend most of my time in (have horrible spd) means the baby will naturally turn that way. Desperately trying to get him to turn now by spending lots of time on birthing ball and on all fours! I would say I can't wait for him to arrive because of all the discomfort except that DP is working away an awful lot up until the 28th June so I'd like him to stay put till then at least!
You all mentioning bags has worried me ...I've packed nothing so far ...think I'm in denial!

TJuice · 12/06/2008 12:45

thanks for all your great tips and answers to my questions ladies! really appreciate it.

hope you are all getting enough rest. enjoy your maternity leave! (I only had a week )

seems to be going okay - but had a look at my gina ford book and feel depressed . . .not sure i can make a routine work for a while. or ever, come to think of it.

i have so much to catch up on here but now have to think about stuff like name registering, vitamin d drops, weight gain etc etc. Its a whole new world!

jodie we are doing good! your night time contraction nightmare is kinda funny but i understand too. they see subsequent labours are faster so i think i will hang around the vicinity of the hospital a month before with my next one (that is a loooooooong way off!)

welcome aggie libra - forgot to say thanks for the maternity combats that my parents brought over last week. i will be wearing them a lot although not pg anymore (how strange).

DonutMum · 12/06/2008 12:51

Hiya. Happy to say resisted Homes under the Hammer. Off to read my hypnobirthing book, or maybe have a nap - DSs both a nursery all day today and then midwife this afternoon. And then maybe make some cakes...

I have everything ready for this baby except one thing - no furniture in his room. Keep phoning Kidsmill for a date and it's due 23rd June but worried DS will be here by then!!! Ah well, got the moses basket ready and everything else can live on the floor.

Oh, and I would also like this one stop poking me in bits where he shouldn't. Ouch.

Thanks for the welcome.

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 12:53

Can youtell I'm bored!!!!!

Tjuice Don't get all het up about routine, and STEP AWAY FROM GINA FORD. Elodie is still vey young, just go with the flow for a few weeks until you have feeding established (whether ot not you continue to BF) then look at it again. With DS I went to my 8 weeks check up and the doc asked how much he was feeding and I hadn't a clue. So I started to write down how much and how often he fed (by this point I was FF) It was then I realised that he had put himself into a routine, every 4 hours... But saying that, you get used to one thing and then something else changes, growth spurts, weaning etc, it's a constant battle.

CilC · 12/06/2008 12:55

ok trashy mag not a sufficient distraction... i mean who really cares about colleen and wayne...

pigleychez · 12/06/2008 12:57

Well i did go and get the wool so will continue to do some more knitting this afternoon whilst we are STILL waiting for Ikea.

Jodie- I dont get kicks down there. Baby is engaging and i get shooing pains as its head pushes down.

Hiccups- Ive always been prone to hiccups so baby must take after me in that aspect.

Tjuice- glad things are going ok for you. Dont worry about routines...Elodie will find her own rouine soon enough.
Talking of another already!!!!??

JODIEhavingababy · 12/06/2008 13:05

Cilc, I said to Dh this morning that it's a bloody good job that England didn't make it to the finals of the Euro cup as what would have happened to poor Coleens big day Bets are on in this house to see how trashy the wedding will be!
