hi all had a very uncomfy night

lots of crampy pains right at bottom of tummy

got a low backache and upset stomach

going for a walk today a long one lets see if i can get this baba going

EEC · 22/06/2008 09:04

Morning.

Going to try and be cheerful mummy today and not obsess about baby all day long! Some hope!

Hope libralady has some good news...

Disney - did you say you couldn't make predictions for yourself? Any idea if this is the start.....? Hope you're feeling a little better today. Did you have a chat with doctor? DH? MW?

gillythekid · 22/06/2008 09:26

Hope you're all having a pleasant weekend.
Peanut so lovely to hear that you're all doing well.
Libra hope things are moving along for you.
Midwife did home visit yesterday and all forms are filled so as long as baba stays head down, all should be well. I have the option to transfer to the mothers suite round the corner to use the pool if the SPD should put my pelvis in danger come delivery time.
Of to my Radiohead gig on Tuesday just over the road and then it's full on RLT, pineapple, nipples etc as like most of you, I'm a bit fed up and pretty much houseboud now.

Mummywannabe · 22/06/2008 10:26

Lovely to hear from you peanut - charlie looks really well

Libra - how's things going

Disney - sounds promising

Kaz - i take back my nice words about virgin. They 'fixed' our problem, or so we thought. Then neighbours knocked, they lost their Tv, phone and internet. Turns out they connected us to their services and disconnected them. Only found out cause i called my mobile from the house phone and i wasn't our phone number that showed up. So they have nothing at all (and have 3 kids so feel bad) and we have the full lot but can't use phone as its not our line! They will sort it monday (won't hold my breath!)

Think this baby has dropped alot, can feel it vey low down iyswim . Had another uncomfy night, was wondering if this one might make an early entrance, wishful thinking though!

libralady · 22/06/2008 12:47

Hi,

I'm still here in the latent phase. I am soooo tired. DH eventually got home at 10.20 last night and we were both so knackered we couldn;t be bothered to try and help things along. Did have a relatively good nights sleep, only waking to turn over (as pains seemed to increase then) and to go for the habitual wees.

Lower back ache is quite bad today, but still pottering around the house, on hands and knees playing with DS.

Am thinking about cleaning the car later and hoovering it out and getting baby car seat readily installed.

Right then off to cook the Sunday Roast.

Thanks for all the good wishes. DH is informed to let you guys know ASAP when LO has made an arrival (subject to him being around that is).

libralady · 22/06/2008 12:48

Oh and I've had another bit of show, so things do look like they are moving along...........SLOWLY!!!!!!

Mummywannabe · 22/06/2008 12:51

Libralady - you must be getting impatient. Still sounds like things are moving along slowly. Keep us posted.

Heffagooday · 22/06/2008 13:49

Peanut - lovely to hear from you

Libralady - glad things are moving even if it's slowly. Very of your sunday roast! For some reason I read your post as saying you were going to clean and hoover out the cat Losing my mind...

Re housebound - me too! I know I can go out but I don't drive so the only options are to wander into town. It's only a 15 minute walk or so (normally) but takes me a lot longer at my current snail's pace. The last few times I've tried walking it and it ends up being really painful too. The lack of TV at home means I'm slowly going mad!

isaidno · 22/06/2008 15:28

Hi ladies; only skimmed the last page or so, but hope everyone is well. Lovely to hear from Peanut.

Poppy is doing well; loves feeding and sleeping, although she would rather sleep on me than anywhere else! My boobs are killing me today and are so big they have entered their own dimension! Feel quite bad tempered and hormonal, but experience tells me it's just the loss of all those pregnancy hormones, nothing more serious.

Come on libralady and Minkus!! Have some more pineapple!

isaidno · 22/06/2008 15:32

just started a June 08 postnatal thread - waiting for people to join!!! Look under post natal groups in topic list.

Polyxene · 22/06/2008 17:53

Just popping in briefly to let you know I survived the trip to London and back without any unplanned side-events! (Though alarmed DH a bit by having contraction-type pains on way home - just from overdoing it I think, stopped completely once we were home and I was finally lying down.) Glad I went: the wedding was lovely; DS had a great time especially seeing his godsister whom he rarely sees as they live so far away; and DH got to perform the song he'd written for the happy couple at the reception. Got home finally after one in the morning, so very tired today, also in a lot of pain after spending so much of the day sitting upright in the wheelchair (usually I manage to lie down for an hour or two at some point during the day, and it makes a big difference.) All very worth it though!

Hope everyone's been having a decent weekend. Good luck Librabady (sorry I've only just realised there are two Libras on here, but I think I've got you sorted out now!)

Now the wedding's out of the way, I might try to dig out the RLT...

Polyxene · 22/06/2008 17:55

D'oh, obviously that should be Libralady, sorry.

sweetkitty · 22/06/2008 19:15

Evening everyone

libralady - wow your having a marathon aren't you? Another bit of show sounds like you are heading in the right direction though. A lot of walking and bouncing and over excerting yourself is whats needed

poly - glad you had a good time at the wedding

isaidno - just had a thought about the post natal thread, I assume the Junies have started their own thread so it might get a tad confusing having 2 June threads, maybe we should just call it the July 08 thread even though some of you lucky ladies had June babies IYSWIM, unless you want to desert us and hang out with the Junies glad Poppy is doing well too I remember hanging over the sink at about 2am squirting milk out my engorged boobs as DD2 was asleep and I was in agony, oh the joys

Heffa - I know what you mean about being housebound it sucks doesn't it, apart from nursery run and the odd shopping trip for essentials I don't go out much either. We are going to the safari park tomorrow although I will be mostly sitting in the car.

Mummywannabee - what a nightmare about Virgin how can they make the mistake?

gilly - DP off to see Radiohead on Friday have told him on pain of death he keeps his mobile on vibrate and close to him at all times

He has been on major suck up mode this weekend though, not that I have been milking it

disney - fingers crossed I know how much you want to start things yourself

Oh my friend had a little girl called Lucia last night 7lbs 15ozs number 4 for her, and a little I want my baby out NOW! SIL was up today and she said well next time I see you hopefully you will be in labour

OP posts:
libralady · 22/06/2008 19:18

Right, car cleaned and washed and baby car seat installed.

Have had a bath and since then I've had more contractions, albeit, not full on. Have been sniffing the clary sage and have today had my first phone call 'is anything happening yet?' from my SIL & B.

Had a dreadful pain when getting off the sofa about 1/2 hour ago which really took my breath away, but to be honest just felt like I was pulling a muscle. DH was getting excited as he really doesn't want to go back to London tomorrow.

Think we'll take some really proactive steps tonight so watch this space

Heffagooday · 22/06/2008 19:55

Poly - the wedding sounds nice It sounds lovely - your clever DH writing a song!

SK - congratulations to your friend! Lucia is such a gorgeous name. Hope your DH continues in suck-up mode It's always useful.

Libralady - good luck!

Have finally ordered my new oven and a tumble dryer so I'm feeling very pleased! The oven we have here is the original one that the builders put in (newish house) and I hate it. Finally got to have a McDonalds as well, which I've been craving for a while!

JODIEhavingababy · 22/06/2008 20:21

Hi All,

Well just got back from our lovely weekend away in Cheltenham (Thanks MINKUS for your lovely ideas abut eating, but the Daffodil was fully booked, so we went to a place called Laze Daze on the Promanade, and it was FAB! Would definatly recommend it! Every time I saw another heaily pregnant lady I thought.. Is that minkus! he he!) We stopped in Boughton on the Water on the way back, so beautiful, but very very busy!

Like Poly, I had very stong BH on the way back, but I think that was from walking around too much.. DH has a VERY important meeting tomorrow so have to hold out until then! I've told him, that's OK as I'm not having this one until Minkus and Pigley have had their's as Disney said so... He thinks I should go to Mumsnet anonomous!

Peanut Glad to see you back with us, I was starting to get worried, although I know you have your hands full! He looks a little treasure, but still sooo tiny! I can't wait to cuddle mine now..

Can't think to write anymore, so if I've missed anyone, sorry, libralady sending 'ejecting' vibes your way!!!!!

libralady · 22/06/2008 20:21

I was in latent stage for 12 days with DS and labour itself was timed at 5 hours 25 minutes. Not bad for a 1st.

We've notice tonight that my bump has dropped considerably. I can reach the sink now and the pressure between my legs has certainly increased. Here's hoping for a quick resolution

sweetkitty · 22/06/2008 21:08

oh libralady what a waiting game, I bet when it does kick off you will be really fast.

I really hope I get a few hours warning before I go full blown, ideally I would like my waters to break first around 7 or 8pm would be nice, then I could get the childcare sorted and sort out the bedroom before the main event. Last time I had no warning at all and remember shouting to DP to clear the bed etc, I think I will have to write him a list this time.

Peanut73 · 22/06/2008 21:12

Hi All. Hope you had good Sundays all round. Libralady - sounds like you are all set and ready to go now that the car seat is installed in your clean and shiny car!

Isaidno - Charlie arrived in May so we can't join your June postnatal group.

SK - I would like to stick with you lot on the July postnatal thread (when it comes!). Prem babies' are meant to develop in line with their due date I think anyway so I won't feel too out front.

Jodie - you are sooo sweet and big apologies for making you worried.

Disney - did the walk help? Where are you?

Minkus · 22/06/2008 21:32

Glad you had a good time Jodie Sorry none of the other weebles you saw were me, I was at home eating lots of curry last night and getting some hot lovin' (well, lukewarm on my part) to try and kick start stuff again but to no avail.

Go go Libra! Really want someone else to have a baby now, there's a bit of a lull.

Poly sounds like you had a great time. Is your dh a musician?

Well I've had a really active day today, we took ds to the river to fly his kite this morning as it's been really windy. Then after lunch went to a soft play centre with a friend and her brood to give dh a bit of "me time"- he's struggling a bit of late as he has only taken 3 days off work since last October. I wish he'd take a break just for himself, to have 3 or 4 or however many days to recharge his batteries and do whatever he felt like- sleep, potter, shop, tinker with his car without feeling the need to do "stuff"- goodness knows that what mums want so dads must do too!

Popped into mums on the way home too and she burst out laughing at the size of the bump. Er, thanks mum!! Will put a pic on my profile.

ButterflyMcQueen · 22/06/2008 21:54

minkus! no pics on profile

i may put an underwear shot on mine that dp took last nigh if anyone can stomach it!

went on a walk up the moors today which was fab to feel so energetic but baby feels high so no false hope for an early one here!

good luck libra!

Minkus · 22/06/2008 22:06

I can't upload the photos sorry I have tried for the last 1/2 hour but computer says no (just when I'd found one acceptable too grrr!) Anyone know how to resize photos taken on a mobile then transferred onto laptop?

Go on BMcQ you must be feeling brave

ButterflyMcQueen · 22/06/2008 22:09

bear in mind i am old and had a few!!! (babies that is)

sweetkitty · 22/06/2008 22:10

I am just downloading some pics including some of me on Thursday.

I think we should all measure our bumps and have a prize for the biggest
