I rubbed these points - don't know if it helped libralady.
Good luck!

Hows it going Libra??

libralady · 21/06/2008 14:05

Still got the period type cramps and some lower back ache.

Just off out again in a moment as it's the local church's flower festival and fete so thaought the walk may progress things along.

Mum is coming with me just in case, and MIL/FIL will be there.

Have had lunch - a pot noodle and some fresh pineapple and cheese!

Made a sausage casserole for tea, and made extra so I can freeze a couple of portions for when I don't feel like cooking once LO has arrived.

Am shattered though and all I want to really do is go to sleep!

jocesar · 21/06/2008 14:36

The rate everyone is talking, I don't think this will be the thread where we all have our babies! I hope I'll be soon, I'm so bored and impatient. Very envious of libra getting going- good luck!

Heffagooday · 21/06/2008 15:15

Jocesar - I was thinking that! Would be amazing if we all popped before the thread is finished. We're all chatting a lot!

Libralady - how are you feeling now? Hope you had fun at the flower festival!

Bebejones - I don't think I'm going to pop for a while either. I have a feeling that she may come a bit early, but I suspect that's wishful thinking. If I go very over it could end up being August. So I'm going to be here for a while anyway!

Kaz and Isaidno - thanks for all the links!

Hope all the new mums are doing well

mcchesers · 21/06/2008 17:19

Hey All, back on the prenatal vitamins thinking I must be low on iron due to being very very tired. Thinking on it now this more likely to be due to being very very pregnant. Enough so that people walk around you like you are a time bomb and children point and gasp. DH says it looks like my bump is spilling over .

Had high hopes of going to the art museum today, but appears that I could only make it to the park and back before I started really getting sore. DH has been an absolute star and is making steak and spinach as we speak. Good news we have a viewer for the flat on monday

Libra - I hope things are kicking off for you now. Nothing like a good walk to get things going.

Pigley - Having the same kind of mornings you mentioned..just ugh for the first 10 minutes. Also finding that sitting for a long time is murder on the knees when I get back up.

I was supposed to meet a group of girls from my NHS class, but there are only two of us left that haven't popped! I'm due on 12/7 she is due 15/7. The waiter said he could get us anything but raspberry leaf tea. Ha!

Peanut73 · 21/06/2008 17:54

HELLO EVERYONE! It's me! I have been sooo busy and this is the first time I've logged on in ages. But I have been thinking of you all!

I haven't had time to read through the 31 pages of the new thread but it must be getting exciting for you all now!

TJUICE - CONGRATULATIONS! So happy for you!

We are flat out here and the sleep deprivation is very real.

Little Charlie is doing so well and is now 6lb 10oz. New photos here

xxx

libralady · 21/06/2008 18:00

Welcome back peanut It's great to hear Charlie is doing fine. We've been worried by your absence but apprecaite you've had your hands full.

Just got back from my afternoon out and the pains haven't got any better or worse.

Am just so shattered I feel I could sleep for a week.

Just getting DS his tea then it will be bath and bed so I can have a rest. DH thinks he'll be home later on tonight and no work tomorrow. Might try and get some shut eye till he's home, and then put him to good use to see if we can get things moving along as he's back off to London first thing Monday. He really doesn't want to go and if I've had the baby he's got his excuse.

libralady · 21/06/2008 18:01

mcchesers thanks for the reminder, I haven't had any RLT today so will go and pop a couple of capsules now.

Minkus · 21/06/2008 18:02

Aaahh peanut he's filled out so much! Looks really healthy, well done you two! Is he back home with you now then? Guess he must be if you are talking sleep deprivation. Hope you manage to get a few hours tonight xxx

EEC · 21/06/2008 18:03

Heh there peanut. We have al;l been thinking of you and Charlie. Glad he is putting weight on. Hang in there - the exhaustion will pass! What a cutie!

Keeping fingers crossed for you libralady!

libralady · 21/06/2008 18:04

BTW DS had a fab time on the bouncy castle at the fete. I was so tempted to get on with him to see if it kickstarted anything.

We did have to drive half way across an uneven field to get parked and the twinges did get a bit stronger for a while and then eased off a tad.

What do you reckon to going on DS's trampette in the garden for 5 minutes. Gravity may sway in my favour

libralady · 21/06/2008 18:06

peanut what a transformation. Charlie looks like he is thriving. I take it DH has relented on the name.

Huge congratulations.

mcchesers · 21/06/2008 18:31

aww Peanut he's just precious. I'm all squishy just looking at him and you look like a very happy, if not sleepy, mum.

Libra - I'm sending good c'mon baby vibes your way!

Hope all the new mums are doing well.

bebejones · 21/06/2008 18:47

Peanut, Charlie is SO adorable and looks like he is doing really well!

Libra, How exciting, got my fingers crossed for you!

Heffa, I am trying to be a realist about when the baby might come, coz with EDD being July 31st, August is a distinct possibility. But can't help having a niggly thought that she could be a few days early!

At what stage is it ok to drink raspberry leaf tea? My book says 34 weeks (which I am over) to help strengthen the uterus. But I am sure I heard 36 weeks somewhere? Does anyone know?

Having a really restless day and feel really uncomfortable and bored! Couldnt even go out anywhere as cant afford the petrol and we dont exactly live near anything 'fun'!! DH has been working all day and just didnt fancy a walk on my own, in the rain! Think I have re-packed my hospital bag(s) about 3 times!! And I am constantly thirsty and nothing seems to quench it!

Have been very me me me lately, I'm really sorry, think it's lonliness and boredom mainly!!!

Heffagooday · 21/06/2008 19:13

Peanut - Charlie's so gorgeous! I'm glad everything's going well, he looks ever so healthy.

Bebejones - I think it's OK to drink RL tea from 32 weeks (I have been and it doesn't seem to have done me any harm!). Advice seems to differ a lot but if you're worried you can always start off on one cup a day and then increase it. Everywhere I've looked I've got a different response so I'm not sure it matters desperately.

Mcchesers - you must be very pleased about the viewing, hope it goes well!

Libra - sending baby vibes your way

TJuice · 21/06/2008 19:58

peanut!! charlie looks gorgeous!! so sweet.
hope all is well with you . . .

well libra - what's going on?? very exciting. i am getting impatient for more lickle bubs to arrive now.

things are going pretty well here but i must admit that my moods are still swinging and feelings are all over the place. she is so sweet though, like a little pixie.

here's to healthy and quick births all round

sweetkitty · 21/06/2008 20:19

Evening ladies

Peanut - Charlie looks really well, you must be doing something right in your sleep deprived state!

Tjuice - nice to see you how's your little girl doing?

bebejones - like heffa I have read so many different things about raspberry leaf tea, I can't stand the stuff so take the capsules, I'm up to maximum dosage now 6 capsules a day. I don't know if it works or not?

libralady - I'm thinking of having a good few bounces on the DDs trampoline in a week or so, can't hurt can it? I still think you are going through a pre-labour though and you will go in the next few days.

mcchesers - I have been taken pre natal vitamins all the way through but still feel like rubbish but on Thursday night I was getting comments on how well I was looking, that I was glowing, looking healthy and tanned

Cannot believe we are on nearly 700 messages and I only started the thread 10 odd days ago, will need a new one "right we are definitely going to have our babies thread"

OP posts:
Heffagooday · 21/06/2008 21:57

SK - trampoline sounds like a good idea! I have an old exercise one under the bed, I'll have to get it out and give it a try. Although I think there was a weight limit so should probably check that first

I'm currently taking folic acid, iron tablets and spatone and my iron levels have barely gone up. I do seem to be sleeping better since starting on the iron, but the other side effects are quite unpleasant (lots of dashing to the loo, sorry if TMI). I was assuming it's just natural to feel tired and a bit rubbish by now?

Libra - any news?

TJuice - how's Elodie?

Minkus · 21/06/2008 23:34

bebejones yes the boredom and housebound-ness () is getting to me too! I know that it's not like we can't go anywhere but don't know about you but I feel a bit vulnerable at the moment, not being able to move quickly out of the way of people/worrying about my waters breaking etc. Hang in there chick not long to go now!

Sweetkitty I can't believe how quickly this thread has filled up either! We must talk a right load of old cobblers

Well I am up late because the boxing (Amir Khan/Michael Gomez) was on tv and against all my better judgement I really enjoy it so have tried v hard to stay awake. It's a nasty, barbaric, misogynist sport that my logical side really doesn't like but for some reason it's the only sport I would make an effort to watch.

Plus I had a hot curry and have done 20 mins of nipple stim with my breast pump so my uterus is jumping at the moment, bet it won't come to anything but fingers crossed!

Libra what's the latest?

Peanut73 · 21/06/2008 23:42

Well, three hours later and I am now up to date. In my initial skim read I missed the fact that so many bubbas have arrived!!

Congratulations Minipink, Twinkle and isaidno! This is so exciting!

Libralady - I will be following your progress with baited breath!

I am just loving motherhood and have to pinch myself sometimes to check this is real. Charlie is such a good boy and hardly ever cries and settles himself to sleep every time. Maybe it's just a prem baby thing and in a couple of weeks time he'll be screaming his head off.

I'm bored of all his clothes though as I only have a handful that don't hang off him. Can't wait for him to grow a bit so I can dress him in proper outfits rather than boring old sleepsuits.

A bit late in the piece but on nappybins - we bought one and I think it's great. There is no smell and I only have to empty it once every couple of days. It's not a tomy tippee one, it's one that takes any type of plastic bag so you don't have to buy refills.

Have just got the hang of swaddling too which really seems to help Charlie sleep.

Sorry if post is a bit self indulgent - just so excited and wanted to share!

Sooner or later I will tell you about my labour...

Hopefully you are all sleeping soundly... I'm off to bed now (well, for about 2 hours until the next feed...)
xx

sweetkitty · 22/06/2008 07:20

Morning all

Anything to report libralady???

Anyone else had a baby?

Nothing much to report here, usual feeling big uncomfy and far too pregnant. Got SIL and neice coming up today for a visit but apart from that no plans, it's very wet here this morning
